Jeremias 39
1 Sa ikasiyam nga tuig ug ikanapulo nga bulan sa paghari ni Zedekia nga hari sa Juda, miabot si Nebucadnezar nga hari sa Babilonia uban sa iyang mga kasundalohan batok sa Jerusalem ug gilibotan kini.
In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, come hath Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his force unto Jerusalem, and they lay siege against it;
2 Sa ikanapulo ug usa ka tuig ug sa ikaupat nga bulan ni Zedekia, sa ikasiyam nga adlaw sa bulan, gisulod nila ang siyudad.
in the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, in the ninth of the month, hath the city been broken up;
3 Unya miabot ang tanang mga opisyal sa hari sa Babilonia ug milingkod didto sa tunga nga ganghaan nga mao sila si: Nergal Sharezer, Samgar Nebo, ug si Sarsekim, nga usa ka mahinungdanon nga opisyal. Si Nergal Sharezer usa ka labaw nga opisyal ug ang ubang mga opisyal sa hari sa Babilonia.
and come in do all the heads of the king of Babylon, and they sit at the middle gate, Nergal-Sharezer, Samgar-Nebo, Sarsechim, chief of the eunuchs, Nergal-Sharezer, chief of the Mages, and all the rest of the heads of the king of Babylon.
4 Nahitabo kini sa dihang nakita sila ni Zedekia, nga hari sa Juda, ug sa tanan niyang mangugubat nga kalalakin-an, mikalagiw sila. Minggula sila sa kagabhion gikan sa siyudad agi sa agianan sa tanaman sa hari, latas sa ganghaan taliwala sa duha ka mga paril. Migula ang hari paingon sa Araba.
And it cometh to pass, when Zedekiah king of Judah, and all the men of war, have seen them, that they flee and go forth by night from the city, the way of the king's garden, through the gate between the two walls, and he goeth forth the way of the plain.
5 Apan gigukod sila sa kasundalohan sa mga Caldeanhon ug naapsan si Zedekia ngadto sa kapatagan sa walog sa Suba sa Jordan nga duol sa Jerico. Unya gidakop nila siya ug gidala siya ngadto kang Nebucadnezar, nga hari sa Babilonia, didto sa Ribla sa yuta sa Hamat, diin gihukman siya ni Nebucadnezar.
And the forces of the Chaldeans pursue after them, and overtake Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and they take him, and bring him up unto Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, to Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and he speaketh with him — judgments.
6 Gipatay sa hari sa Babilonia ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Zedekia sa iyang atubangan didto sa Ribla. Gipatay usab niya ang tanang halangdon nga mga tawo sa Juda.
And the king of Babylon slaughtereth the sons of Zedekiah, in Riblah, before his eyes, yea, all the freemen of Judah hath the king of Babylon slaughtered.
7 Unya gilugit niya ang mga mata ni Zedekia ug gikadenahan siya ug tumbaga aron nga madala niya siya ngadto sa Babilonia.
And the eyes of Zedekiah he hath blinded, and he bindeth him with brazen fetters, to bring him in to Babylon.
8 Unya gipangsunog sa mga Caldeanhon ang balay sa hari ug ang balay sa mga tawo. Gilumpag usab nila ang mga paril sa Jerusalem.
And the house of the king, and the house of the people, have the Chaldeans burnt with fire, and the walls of Jerusalem they have broken down.
9 Gipangbihag ni Nebuzaradan, nga pangulo sa mga tigpanalipod sa hari, ang tanang katawhan nga nahibilin sa siyudad. Lakip na ang mga tawo nga miikyas padulong sa mga Caldeanhon ug ang ubang mga tawo nga nahibilin ngadto sa siyudad.
And the remnant of the people who are left in the city, and those falling who have fallen to him, and the remnant of the people who are left, hath Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, removed [to] Babylon.
10 Apan gitugotan ni Nebuzaradan nga pangulo sa mga tigpanalipod sa hari nga magpabilin sa yuta sa Juda ang labing kabos nga mga tawo nga walay nahot. Gihatagan niya sila ug kaparasan ug kaumahan nianang adlawa.
And of the poor people, who have nothing, hath Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, left in the land of Judah, and he giveth to them vineyards and fields on the same day.
11 Unya nagmando si Nebucadnezar nga hari sa Babylonia ngadto kang Nebuzaradan nga pangulo sa mga tigpanalipod sa hari mahitungod kang Jeremias. Miingon siya,
And Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon giveth a charge concerning Jeremiah, by the hand of Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, saying,
12 “Kuhaa ug atimana siya. Ayaw siya pasakiti. Buhata ang bisan unsa nga isulti niya kanimo.”
'Take him, and place thine eyes upon him, and do no evil thing to him, but as he speaketh unto thee, so do with him.'
13 Busa nagsugo ug mga kalalakin-an si Nebuzaradan nga pangulo sa mga tigpanalipod sa hari, si Nebushazban nga labawng yunoko, si Nergal Sharezer nga labawng opisyal, ug ang tanang mahinungdanon nga mga opisyal sa hari sa Babilonia.
And Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners sendeth, and Nebushazban, chief of the eunuchs, and Nergal-Sharezer, chief of the Mages, and all the chiefs of the king of Babylon;
14 Gikuha sa ilang mga tawo si Jeremias gikan sa hawanan sa tigbantay ug gisalig siya kang Gedalia nga anak nga lalaki ni Ahikam nga anak nga lalaki ni Shafan, aron dad-on siya sa iyang balay, busa nagpabilin si Jeremias uban sa katawhan.
yea, they send and take Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and give him unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, to carry him home, and he dwelleth in the midst of the people.
15 Karon miabot ang pulong ni Yahweh kang Jeremias samtang gibilanggo pa siya didto sa hawanan sa tigbantay, nga nag-ingon,
And unto Jeremiah hath a word of Jehovah been — in his being detained in the court of the prison — saying:
16 “Pagpakigsulti kang Ebed Melec nga Cusitihanon ug ingna siya, “Si Yahweh nga labawng makakagahom, nga Dios sa Israel, miingon niini: Tan-awa, ipatuman ko na ang akong gipamulong batok niining siyudara alang sa kaalaotan ug dili sa kaayohan. Tungod kay matuman kining tanan diha sa imong atubangan nianang adlawa.
'Go, and thou hast spoken to Ebed-Melech the Cushite, saying: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel: Lo, I am bringing in My words unto this city for evil, and not for good, and they have been before thee in that day.
17 Apan luwason ko ikaw nianang adlawa—mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh—ug dili ka itugyan ngadto sa kamot sa mga tawo nga imong gikahadlokan.
And I have delivered thee in that day — an affirmation of Jehovah — and thou art not given into the hand of the men of whose face thou art afraid,
18 Kay luwason ko gayod ikaw. Dili ka mamatay pinaagi sa espada. Makaikyas ka nga buhi, tungod kay misalig ka man kanako—mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh.”'
for I do certainly deliver thee, and by sword thou fallest not, and thy life hath been to thee for a spoil, for thou hast trusted in Me — an affirmation of Jehovah.'
