Jeremias 34
1 Miabot ang pulong ni Yahweh kang Jeremias, sa dihang nakiggubat si Nebucadnezar nga hari sa Babilonia ug ang tanan niyang mga kasundalohan, uban ang tanang gingharian sa kalibotan, nga iyang mga ginsakopan ilalom sa iyang gahom, ug ang tanan nilang katawhan nga nakiggubat batok sa Jerusalem ug sa tanang mga siyudad niini, nga nag-ingon:
The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah — and Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his force, and all kingdoms of the land of the dominion of his hand, and all the peoples are fighting against Jerusalem, and against all its cities — saying:
2 'Si Yahweh, ang Dios sa Israel, miingon niini: Lakaw ug pakigsulti kang Zedekia nga hari sa Juda ug sultihi siya,” miingon si Yahweh niini: Tan-awa, igatugyan ko kining siyudara ngadto sa kamot sa hari sa Babilonia. Sunogon niya kini.
'Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel: Go, and thou hast spoken unto Zedekiah king of Judah, and hast said unto him, Thus said Jehovah: Lo, I am giving this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he hath burned it with fire,
3 Dili ka makaikyas gikan sa iyang kamot, kay dakpon ka gayod ug itugyan sa iyang kamot. Magkakit-anay kamo sa hari sa Babilonia; ug sultihan dayon ka niya sa dihang mahiabot ka sa Babilonia.'
and thou, thou dost not escape out of his hand, for thou art certainly caught, and into his hand thou art given, and thine eyes see the eyes of the king of Babylon, and his mouth with thy mouth speaketh, and Babylon thou enterest.
4 Patalinghogi ang pulong ni Yahweh, Zedekia nga hari sa Juda! Gisulti kini ni Yahweh bahin kanimo, 'Dili ka mamatay pinaagi sa espada.
'Only, hear a word of Jehovah, O Zedekiah king of Judah, Thus said Jehovah unto thee: Thou dost not die by sword,
5 Mamatay ka nga malinawon. Pagasunogon ang imong patayng lawas sama sa imong mga katigulangan nga gisunog paglubong, ug sa mga hari nga nag-una kanimo. Moingon sila, “Pagkaalaot, agalon!” Magbangotan sila alang kanimo. Nagsulti ako karon—mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh.”
in peace thou diest, and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings who have been before thee, so they make a burning for thee; and Ah, lord, they lament for thee, for the word I have spoken — an affirmation of Jehovah.'
6 Busa gimantala ni propeta Jeremias didto sa Jerusalem kining tanan nga mga pulong ngadto kang Zedekia nga hari sa Juda.
And Jeremiah the prophet speaketh unto Zedekiah king of Judah all these words in Jerusalem,
7 Nakiggubat ang kasundalohan sa hari sa Babilonia batok sa Jerusalem ug sa tanang nahibiling mga siyudad sa Juda: ang Lachis ug ang Azeka. Mao kini ang mga siyudad nga nagpabiling lig-on.
and the forces of the king of Babylon are fighting against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that are left — against Lachish, and against Azekah, for these have been left among the cities of Judah, cities of fortresses.
8 Miabot ang pulong ngadto kang Jeremias gikan kang Yahweh human sa pakigsaad ni Haring Zedekia uban sa tanang katawhan sa Jerusalem, aron sa pagmantala ug kagawasan ngadto kanila nga kinahanglan ipalingkawas
The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, after the making by the king Zedekiah of a covenant with all the people who [are] in Jerusalem, to proclaim to them liberty,
9 sa matag tawo ang iyang mga ulipon nga Hebreo, ang mga lalaki ug ang mga babaye, bisan kadtong nag-ulipon ug usa ka Judio, nga iyang igsoon.
to send out each his man-servant, and each his maid-servant — the Hebrew and the Hebrewess — free, so as not to lay service on them, any on a Jew his brother;
10 Busa nagsaad ang tanang mga pangulo ug katawhan nga ipalingkawas sa matag tawo ang iyang mga ulipong lalaki ug mga ulipong babaye aron dili na sila mahimong mga ulipon pa. Gituman nila ug gipalingkawas sila.
and hearken do all the heads, and all the people who have come in to the covenant to send forth each his man-servant and each his maid-servant free, so as not to lay service on them any more, yea, they hearken, and send them away;
11 Apan human niini nausab ang ilang mga hunahuna. Gidala nila pagbalik ang mga ulipon nga ilang gipalingkawas. Gipugos nila sila nga mahimong mga ulipon pag-usab.
and they turn afterwards, and cause the men-servants and the maid-servants to return, whom they had sent forth free, and they subdue them for men-servants and for maid-servants.
12 Busa miabot ang pulong ni Yahweh ngadto kang Jeremias, nga nag-ingon,
And there is a word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying:
13 “Si Yahweh, ang Dios sa Israel, nag-ingon niini, 'Ako mismo naghimo ug kasabotan tali sa imong mga katigulangan sa adlaw nga ako silang gidala pagawas gikan sa yuta sa Ehipto, gawas gikan sa puloy-anan sa pagkaulipon. Gisulti ko kini,
'Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, I — I made a covenant with your fathers in the day of My bringing them forth from the land of Egypt, from a house of servants, saying,
14 “Sa kataposan sa matag pito ka tuig, kinahanglan papaulion sa matag tawo ang iyang igsoon, ang iyang isigka-Hebreo nga nagbaligya sa iyang kaugalingon diha kaninyo ug nag-alagad kaninyo sulod sa unom ka tuig. Papaulia siya nga adunay kagawasan.” Apan wala namati ang imong mga katigulangan kanako ni mipatalinghog kanako.
At the end of seven years ye do send forth each his brother, the Hebrew, who is sold to thee, and hath served thee six years, yea, thou hast sent him forth free from thee: and your fathers hearkened not unto Me, nor inclined their ear.
15 Karon naghinulsol kamo sa inyong mga kaugalingon ug nagsugod sa pagbuhat kung unsa ang husto sa akong panan-aw. Gimantala ninyo ang kagawasan, ang matag usa kaninyo ngadto sa iyang silingan, ug naghimo kamo ug kasabotan atubangan sa akong puloy-anan nga gitawag pinaagi sa akong ngalan.
'And ye turn back, ye to-day, and ye do that which is right in Mine eyes, to proclaim liberty each to his neighbour, and ye make a covenant before Me in the house over which My name is called.
16 Apan mitalikod kamo ug gihugawan ang akong ngalan; gikuha ninyo pagbalik ang inyong mga ulipong lalaki ug mga ulipong babaye, nga inyong gipakagiw sa bisan diin nila buot moadto. Gipugos ninyo sila nga mahimo ninyong mga ulipon pag-usab.'
And — ye turn back, and pollute My name, and ye cause each his man-servant and each his maid-servant, whom he had sent forth free, (at their pleasure, ) to return, and ye subdue them to be to you for men-servants and for maid-servants.
17 Busa nagsulti si Yahweh niini, 'Wala kamo namati kanako. Kinahanglan nga imantala ninyo ang kagawasan, ang matag usa kaninyo, ngadto sa inyong mga igsoon ug sa mga isigka-Israelita. Busa tan-awa! Imantala ko ang kagawasan nganha kaninyo—mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh—kagawasan gikan sa espada, sa katalagman, ug sa kagutom, kay himoon ko kamong kahadlokan sa panan-aw sa matag gingharian sa kalibotan.
'Therefore, thus said Jehovah: Ye have not hearkened unto Me to proclaim freedom, each to his brother, and each to his neighbour; lo, I am proclaiming to you liberty — an affirmation of Jehovah — unto the sword, unto the pestilence, and unto the famine, and I have given you for a trembling to all kingdoms of the earth.
18 Unya pagasilotan ko ang katawhan nga misupak sa akong kasabotan, nga wala nagtuman sa mga pulong sa kasabotan nga ilang gihimo sa akong atubangan sa dihang gitunga nila ang torong baka sa duha ka bahin ug milakaw taliwala sa mga bahin niini,
'And I have given the men who are transgressing My covenant, who have not established the words of the covenant that they have made before Me, by the calf, that they have cut in two, and pass through between its pieces —
19 ug unya ang mga pangulo sa Juda ug sa Jerusalem, ang mga yunoko ug ang mga pari, ug ang tanang katawhan sa yuta nga milakaw taliwala sa mga bahin sa torong baka.
heads of Judah, and heads of Jerusalem, the officers, and the priests, and all the people of the land those passing through between the pieces of the calf —
20 Itugyan ko sila ngadto sa kamot sa ilang mga kaaway ug ngadto sa kamot niadtong nagapangita sa ilang mga kinabuhi. Ang ilang mga lawas mahimong pagkaon alang sa kalanggaman sa kalangitan ug sa mga mananap sa yuta.
yea, I have given them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those seeking their soul, and their carcase hath been for food to the fowl of the heavens, and to the beast of the earth.
21 Busa itugyan ko si Zedekia ang hari sa Juda ug ang iyang mga pangulo ngadto sa kamot sa ilang mga kaaway ug ngadto sa kamot niadtong nagapangita sa ilang mga kinabuhi, ug ngadto sa kamot sa kasundalohan sa hari sa Babilonia nga makiggubat batok kaninyo.
'And Zedekiah king of Judah, and his heads, I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those seeking their soul, and into the hand of the forces of the king of Babylon, that are going up from off you.
22 Tan-awa, maghatag ako ug mando—mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh— ug magdala pagbalik kanila dinhi sa siyudad aron makiggubat batok niini ug moilog, ug magsunog niini. Kay gun-obon ko ang mga siyudad sa Juda nga wala nay lumolupyo.”'
Lo, I am commanding — an affirmation of Jehovah — and have brought them back unto this city, and they have fought against it, and captured it, and burned it with fire, and the cities of Judah I do make a desolation — without inhabitant.'
