Isaias 28
1 Pagkaalaot sa garbo sa korona nga bulak nga gisul-ob sa tagsatagsa ka mga palahubog sa Efraim, ug sa nagkalawos nga bulak sa iyang mahimayaong katahom, ang bulak nga gibutang ngadto sa ulohan sa nagdagayday nga Walog niadtong nalupig sa bino!
Woe to the crown of pride, the hirelings of Ephraim, the flower that has fallen from the glory of the top of the fertile mountain, they that are drunken without wine.
2 Tan-awa, nagpadala ang Ginoo ug usa ka gamhanan ug kusgan; sama sa unos nga yelo ug makaguba nga bagyo, sama sa kusog nga ulan ug naghaguros nga mga tubig; ug ipanglabay niya ang tagsatagsa ka korona nga bulak didto sa yuta.
Behold, the anger of the Lord is strong and severe, as descending hail where there is no shelter, violently descending; as a great body of water sweeping away the soil, he shall make rest for the land.
3 Pagayatakyatakan ang garbo nga koronang bulak sa mga palahubog sa Efraim.
The crown of pride, the hirelings of Ephraim, shall be beaten down with the hands and with the feet.
4 Ang nalawos nga bulak sa iyang mahimayaong katahom, nga anaa sa ulo sa adunahan nga walog, mamahimong unang hinog sa igos sa dili pa ang ting-init, nga, kung adunay makakita niini, tunlon niya kini samtang anaa pa kini sa iyang kamot.
And the fading flower of the glorious hope on the top of the high mountain shall be as the early fig; he that sees it, before he takes it into his hand, will desire to swallow it down.
5 Nianang adlawa mahimong matahom nga korona ug matahom nga purongpurong si Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom alang sa nahibilin sa iyang katawhan,
In that day the Lord of hosts shall be the crown of hope, the woven [crown] of glory, to the remnant of the people.
6 ang espiritu sa hustisya alang kaniya nga naglingkod sa hukmanan, ug ang kusog niadtong mipasibog sa ilang mga kaaway diha sa ilang mga ganghaan.
They shall be left in the spirit of judgment for judgment, and for the strength of them that hinder slaying.
7 Apan bisan niining nabarag uban sa bino, ug nagsusapinday pinaagi sa isog nga ilimnon. Nabarag ang pari ug ang propeta pinaagi sa isog nga ilimnon, ug gilamoy sila pinaagi sa bino. Nagsusapinday sila uban ang maisog nga ilimnon, nagsusapinday sa panan-awon ug nabarag diha sa paghukom.
For these have trespassed through wine; they have erred through strong drink: the priest and the prophet are mad through strong drink, they are swallowed up by reason of wine, they have staggered through drunkenness; they have erred: this is [their] vision.
8 Tinuod, nalukop sa suka ang mga lamesa, busa wala na gayoy limpyo nga dapit.
A curse shall devour this counsel, for this [is their] counsel for the sake of covetousness.
9 Kang kinsa man niya itudlo ang kaalam, ug kang kinsa man niya ipasabot ang mensahe? Niadto bang nalutas gikan sa gatas o niadtong bag-o pa lang gipanguha gikan sa mga dughan?
To whom have we reported evils? and to whom have we reported a message? [even to those] that are weaned from the milk, who are drawn from the breast.
10 Kay kini sugo ibabaw sa sugo, sugo ibabaw sa sugo; pagdumala ibabaw sa pagdumala, pagdumala ibabaw sa pagdumala; diyutay dinhi, diyutay didto.
Expect thou affliction on affliction, hope upon hope: yet a little, [and] yet a little,
11 Bisan paman, uban sa mapasipalaon nga mga ngabil ug langyaw nga baba makigsulti siya niining mga tawhana.
by reason of the contemptuous [words] of the lips, by means of another language: for they shall speak to this people, saying to them,
12 Nagsulti siya kanila kaniadto “Mao kini ang kapahulayan, papahulaya siya nga gikapoy; ug mao kini ang makapahayahay,” apan dili sila mamati.
This is the rest to him that is hungry, and this is the calamity: but they would not hear.
13 Busa ang pulong ni Yahweh ngadto kanila mahimong sugo ibabaw sa sugo, sugo ibabaw sa sugo; pagdumala ibabaw sa pagdumala, pagdumala ibabaw sa pagdumala; diyutay dinhi, diyutay didto; aron nga mangadto sila ug mangabalintong, ug mapiangan, malit-ag, ug madakpan.
Therefore the oracle of God shall be to them affliction on affliction, hope on hope, yet a little, [and] yet a little, that they may go and fall backward; and they shall be crushed and shall be in danger, and shall be taken.
14 Busa paminawa ang pulong ni Yahweh, kamong nagbiaybiay, kamong nagdumala niining katawhan nga anaa sa Jerusalem.
Therefore hear ye the word of the Lord, ye afflicted men, and ye princes of this people that is in Jerusalem.
15 Mao kini ang mahitabo tungod kay nagsulti kamo, “Nagbuhat kami ug kasabotan tali sa kamatayon, ug nakabaton kami ug panag-uyon uban sa Seol. Busa sa dihang moagi ang naghaguros nga latigo, dili kini moabot kanamo. Kay gihimo namong dalangpanan ang bakak, ug gihimong puloy-anan ang pagkabakakon.” (Sheol h7585)
Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with Hades, and agreements with death; if the rushing storm should pass, it shall not come upon us: we have made falsehood our hope, and by falsehood shall we be protected: (Sheol h7585)
16 Busa nagsulti ang Ginoo nga si Yahweh, “Tan-awa: Ipahimutang ko diha sa Zion ang patukoranan nga bato, ang nasulayan nga bato, ang bililhong patukoranan nga bato, ang lig-on nga patukoranan. Kadtong motuo dili gayod maulawan.
Therefore thus saith the Lord, [even] the Lord, Behold, I lay for the foundations of Sion a costly stone, a choice, a corner-stone, a precious [stone], for its foundations; and he that believes [on him] shall by no means be ashamed.
17 Himoon ko ang kahoyng igsusukod nga hustisya, ug ang tunton sa pagkamatarong. Banlason sa unos nga yelo ang dalangpanan sa mga bakak, ug ang mga baha maoy molapaw sa tagoanan nga dapit.
And I will cause judgment [to be] for hope, and my compassion shall be for [just] measures, and ye that trust vainly in falsehood [shall fall]: for the storm shall by no means pass by you,
18 Matunaw ang inyong kasabotan tali sa kamatayon, ug dili molungtad ang inyong pakig-uyon uban sa Seol. Sa dihang molabay na ang naghaguros nga baha, mangalumos kamo pinaagi niini. (Sheol h7585)
except it also take away your covenant of death, and your trust in Hades shall by no means stand: if the rushing storm should come upon you, ye shall be beaten down by it. (Sheol h7585)
19 Sa dihang molabay kini mangalumos kamo, ug sa matag buntag modangat kini sa adlaw ug gabii. Kung masabtan na ang mensahe, makahatag kini ug kalisang.
Whenever it shall pass by, it shall take you; morning by morning it shall pass by in the day, and in the night there shall be an evil hope. Learn to hear,
20 Kay mubo lamang ang higdaanan alang sa usa ka tawo aron iyang katuy-oran, ug dili halapad ang habol alang kaniya aron ibukot sa iyang kaugalingon.”
ye that are distressed; we cannot fight, but we are ourselves too weak for you to be gathered.
21 Mobarog si Yahweh ingon nga anaa sa Bukid sa Perazim; mobarog siya sa iyang kaugalingon didto sa Walog sa Gibeon aron sa pagbuhat sa iyang buluhaton, sa iyang talagsaon nga buluhaton, ug ipakita ang iyang talagsaon nga binuhatan.
The Lord shall rise up as a mountain of ungodly [men], and shall be in the valley of Gabaon; he shall perform his works with wrath, [even] a work of bitterness, and his wrath shall deal strangely, and his destruction shall be strange.
22 Busa karon ayaw pagbiaybiay, kay basin mahugot ang inyong hikot. Nadungog ko gikan sa Ginoo nga si Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom, ang kasugoan sa kalaglagan didto sa kalibotan.
Therefore do not ye rejoice, neither let your bands be made strong; for I have heard of works finished and cut short by the Lord of hosts, which he will execute upon all the earth.
23 Patalinghogi ug paminawa ang akong tingog; pamatia ug paminawa ang akong mga pulong.
Hearken, and hear my voice; attend, and hear my words.
24 Ang mag-uuma ba nga nagdaro kada adlaw aron magpugas, nagdaro lang ba sa yuta? Nagpadayon ba siya sa pagbungkal ug sa pagkaras sa uma?
Will the ploughman plough all the day? or will he prepare the seed beforehand, before he tills the ground?
25 Sa dihang naandam na niya ang yuta, wala ba niya gipangsabwag ang binhi nga lunga, gipugas ang anis, gibutang ang trigo diha sa mga tudling ug ang sebada sa angay nga dapit, ug ang gisabwag sa matag tumoy niini?
Does he not, when he has levelled the surface thereof, then sow the small black poppy, or cumin, and afterward sow wheat, and barley, and millet, and bread-corn in thy borders?
26 Gipahimangnoan siya sa iyang Dios; gitudloan niya kini nga maalamon.
So thou shalt be chastened by the judgment of thy God, and shalt rejoice.
27 Dugang pa, wala pa nagiok ang binhi nga lunga pinaagi sa karomata, ni paligsan sa ligid sa kariton ang anis; apan gipusposan ang lunga pinaagi sa kahoy, ug ang anis pinaagi sa sungkod.
For the black poppy is not cleansed with harsh treatment, nor will a wagon-wheel pass over the cumin; but the black poppy is threshed with a rod, and the cumin shall be eaten with bread;
28 Gigaling ang lugas alang sa tinapay apan dili kaayo pino, bisan pa ug katagon kini sa ligid sa iyang kariton ug sa iyang mga kabayo, dili kini madugmok sa iyang kabayo.
for I will not be wroth with you for ever, neither shall the voice of my anger crush you.
29 Naggikan usab kini kang Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom, nga maoy kahibulongan sa pagtambag ug halangdon sa kaalam.
And these signs came forth from the Lord of hosts. Take counsel, exalt vain comfort.
