Isaias 25
1 Yahweh, ikaw ang akong Dios; ituboy ko ikaw, daygon ko ang imong ngalan; kay nagbuhat ka ug kahibulongang mga butang, mga butang nga gilaraw kaniadto, sa husto nga pagkamatinud-anon.
O LORD, thou [art] my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful [things]; [thy] counsels of old [are] faithfulness [and] truth.
2 Kay gibuhat mong tipun-og ang siyudad, ang lig-on nga siyudad, usa ka gun-ob, ug ang salipdanan sa mga langyaw aron nga wala nay siyudad.
For thou hast made of a city a heap; [of] a fortified city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
3 Busa himayaon ka sa mga kusgan nga katawhan; mahadlok kanimo ang siyudad sa walay kaluoy nga mga nasod.
Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.
4 Kay ikaw ang dapit sa kaluwasan alang niadtong mga kabos, kapasilongan alang niadtong nagkinahanglan nga anaa sa iyang kasub-anan— kapasilongan gikan sa unos ug landong gikan sa init. Sa dihang mohuyop ang walay kaluoy nga hangin nga sama sa unos batok sa paril,
For thou hast been a defense to the poor, a defense to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones [is] as a storm [against] the wall.
5 ug sama sa kainit sa uga nga yuta, nabuntog mo ang kasaba sa mga langyaw, sama nga nabuntog sa landong sa panganod ang kainit, busa gitubag ang awit sa mga walay kaluoy.
Thou wilt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; [even] the heat with the shade of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
6 Niini nga bukid maghimo si Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom ug kombira sa mga tambok nga mga butang alang sa tanang katawhan, sa gipili nga mga bino, sa humok nga mga karne, usa ka kombira sa labing maayong bino.
And on this mountain will the LORD of hosts make to all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
7 Pagagun-obon niya niini nga bukid ang nakatabon sa tanang katawhan, ang pandong nga nabuklad ibabaw sa tanang mga nasod.
And he will destroy on this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail [that is] spread over all nations.
8 Lamoyon niya ang kamatayon hangtod sa kahangtoran, ug pahiran ni Yahweh nga Ginoo ang mga luha nga gikan sa tanan ninyong mga nawong; kuhaon niya ang kaulaw sa iyang katawhan gikan sa tanang yuta, kay gisulti kini ni Yahweh.
He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people will he remove from all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken [it].
9 Isulti kini nianang adlawa, “Tan-awa, mao kini ang atong Dios; nagpaabot kita niya, ug luwason kita niya. Mao kini si Yahweh; ang atong gipaabot, magpalipayon kita ug magmaya sa iyang kaluwasan.”
And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this [is] our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD, we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
10 Kay niini nga bukid mopahulay ang kamot ni Yahweh; ug pagayatak-yatakan ang Moab sa iyang dapit, sama sa uhot nga giyatak-yatakan didto sa bangag nga puno sa mga hugaw sa hayop.
For on this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
11 Ibuklad nila ang ilang mga kamot taliwala niini, sama sa manlalangoy nga nagbuklad sa iyang mga kamot aron makalangoy. Apan ipaubos ni Yahweh ang ilang garbo taliwala sa kahanas sa ilang mga kamot.
And he will spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth [his hands] to swim: and he will bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.
12 Tumpagon niya ang imong habog nga salipdanang mga paril ngadto sa yuta, ngadto sa abog.
And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls will he bring down, lay low, [and] bring to the ground, [even] to the dust.
