Hosea 3

1 Miingon si Yahweh nganhi kanako, “Lakaw pag-usab, higugmaa ang babaye, nga gihigugma sa laing lalaki, apan usa ka mananapaw. Higugmaa siya sama nga ako, si Yahweh, nga nahigugma ang katawhan sa Israel, bisan ug misimba sila sa mga diosdios ug gihigugma ang mga torta nga adunay mga pasas.”

Then said the Lord unto me, Go once more, love a woman beloved of her husband, yet committing adultery; like the love of the Lord toward the children of Israel, who turn themselves after other gods, and love flagons of wine.

2 Busa gipalit ko siya sa napulo ug lima ka plata ug usa ka homer ug lethek nga sukod sa sibada.

So I bought me such a one for fifteen pieces of silver, and for a chomer of barley, and half a chomer of barley.

3 Gisultihan ko siya, “Kinahanglan mopuyo ka na uban kanako sa taas nga panahon. Dili kana usa ka babaye nga gabaligya ug dungog o gipanag-iya sa ubang lalaki. Sa samang paagi, mag-uban ako kanimo.”

And I said unto her, Many days shalt thou abide [true] for me: thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not belong to any man, and so will I also be toward thee.

4 Kay ang katawhan sa Israel magpuyo sa taas nga panahon nga walay hari, prinsipe, halad, haligi nga bato, efod o mga diosdios.

For many days shall the children of Israel abide without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without a standing image, and without an ephod and theraphim.

5 Pagkahuman niana mobalik ug mangita ang mga katawhan sa Israel kang Yahweh nga ilang Dios ug kang David nga ilang hari, ug sa kataposang mga adlaw, moduol sila nga magapangurog sa atubangan ni Yahweh tungod sa iyang pagkamaayo.

After that will the children of Israel return, and seek for the Lord their God and David their king; and fearing will they hasten to the Lord and to his goodness in the latter days,
