Hageo 1
1 Sa ika duhang tuig nga naghari si Darius, sa ika unom nga bulan, unang adlaw sa bulan, ang pulong ni Yahweh miabot pinaagi sa propeta nga si Hageo ngadto sa gobernador sa Juda, nga si Zerubabel ang anak ni Shealtiel, ug ngadto sa labaw nga pari nga si Josue ang anak ni Jehozadak, ug miingon,
In the second year of the reign of Darius, on the first day of the sixth month, the word of the LORD came through Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, stating
2 “Miingon niini si Yahweh nga tinubdan sa tanan: 'Nag-ingon kining mga tawhana, “Dili pa karon ang takna nga moadto kami o motukod pag-usab sa templo ni Yahweh.'””
that this is what the LORD of Hosts says: “These people say, ‘The time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the LORD.’”
3 Busa ang pulong ni Yahweh miabot pinaagi kang Hageo, ang propeta nga nag-ingon,
Then the word of the LORD came through Haggai the prophet, saying:
4 “Karon ba ang takna nga magpuyo kamo sa inyong nahuman nga mga balay, samtang kining balay nagpabiling guba?
“Is it a time for you yourselves to live in your paneled houses, while this house lies in ruins?”
5 Busa karon miingon si Yahweh nga tinubdan sa tanan: 'Pamalandongi ang inyong gibuhat!
Now this is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Consider carefully your ways.
6 Nagtanom kamo ug daghang mga binhi, apan diyutay ra ang abot; mikaon kamo apan wala nangabusog; miinom kamo apan wala nangahubog. Nagsuot kamo ug mga bisti apan gitugnaw gihapon kamo, ug ang nagadawat ug suhol nga salapi daw nagabutang lang niini sa usa ka panudlanan nga daghan ug buslot!'
You have planted much but harvested little. You eat but never have enough. You drink but never have your fill. You put on clothes but never get warm. You earn wages to put into a bag pierced through.”
7 Si Yahweh nga tinubdan sa tanan miingon niini: 'Pamalandongi ang inyong mga gibuhat!
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Consider carefully your ways.
8 Tungas ngadto sa bukid, pagdala ug mga kahoy, ug tukora pag-usab ang akong balay; unya mahimoot ako niini, ug mahimaya ako!' miingon si Yahweh.
Go up into the hills, bring down lumber, and build the house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified, says the LORD.
9 Nagtinguha kamo ug daghan, apan tan-awa! diyutay lang ang inyong nadala sa panimalay, kay gihuypan ko kini! Ngano man?'— mao kini ang gipamulong ni Yahweh nga tinubdan sa tanan! 'Tungod kay ang akong balay nagpabiling guba, samtang ang matag tawo nagpahayahay sa iyang kaugalingong balay.
You expected much, but behold, it amounted to little. And what you brought home, I blew away. Why? declares the LORD of Hosts. Because My house still lies in ruins, while each of you is busy with his own house.
10 Tungod niini ang kalangitan dili na mohatag ug yamog diha kaninyo, ug ang yuta dili na mohatag ug abot.
Therefore, on account of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth has withheld its crops.
11 Nagpadala ako ug hulaw ngadto sa kayutaan ug kabukiran, ngadto sa katrigohan ug sa mga bag-o nga bino, ngadto sa mga lana ug ngadto sa anihunon sa kalibotan, ngadto sa tawo ug sa mga mananap, ug ngadto sa tanan nga hinagoan sa inyong mga kamot!”'
I have summoned a drought on the fields and on the mountains, on the grain, new wine, and oil, and on whatever the ground yields, on man and beast, and on all the labor of your hands.”
12 Unya si Zerubabel nga anak ni Shealtiel, ug ang labaw nga pari nga si Josue nga anak ni Jehozadak, ug sa tanang nahibilin nga katawhan gikan sa pagkabihag, mituman sa tingog ni Yahweh nga ilang Dios, ug sa mga pulong ni Hageo nga propeta, tungod kay ang nagpadala kaniya mao si Yahweh nga ilang Dios. Ug ang katawhan nahadlok sa panagway ni Yahweh.
Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, as well as all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God and the words of the prophet Haggai, because the LORD their God had sent him. So the people feared the LORD.
13 Unya si Hageo, ang mensahero ni Yahweh, misulti sa mensahe ni Yahweh ngadto sa mga katawhan ug miingon, “'Magauban ako kaninyo!' — mao kini ang gipamulong ni Yahweh!”
Haggai, the messenger of the LORD, delivered the message of the LORD to the people: “I am with you,” declares the LORD.
14 Busa gidasig ni Yahweh ang espiritu sa gobernador sa Juda, nga si Zerubabel ang anak ni Shealtiel, ug ang espiritu sa labaw nga pari nga si Josue ang anak ni Jehozadak, ug ang espiritu sa tanang nahibilin nga katawhan gikan sa pagkabihag, mao nga miadto sila ug nagtukod sa templo ni Yahweh nga tinubdan sa tanan, nga ilang Dios,
So the LORD stirred the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, as well as the spirit of all the remnant of the people. And they came and began the work on the house of the LORD of Hosts, their God,
15 sa ika-24 ka adlaw sa ika-unom nga bulan, sa ika-duhang tuig sa paghari ni Darius.
on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month, in the second year of King Darius.
