Esdras 10

1 Samtang nag-ampo si Esdras ug nagsugid, mihilak siya ug mihapa siya atubangan sa balay sa Dios. Ang dakong pundok sa mga Israelita nga kalalakin-an, mga kababayen-an, ug mga kabataan nagtigom uban kaniya, kay hilabihan ang panaghilak sa katawhan.

And just as was praying Ezra and just as was confessing he weeping and prostrating himself before [the] house of God they gathered to him from Israel a company great very men and women and children for they wept the people great weeping.

2 Si Sekanias ang anak nga lalaki ni Jehiel nga kaliwat ni Elam miingon ngadto kang Esdras, “Wala kami nagmatinumanon sa atong Dios ug nakigminyo sa mga babayeng langyaw gikan sa katawhan sa ubang mga nasod. Apan bisan pa man niini, aduna pa gihapoy paglaom alang sa Israel.

And he answered Shecaniah [the] son of Jehiel one of [the] descendants of (Elam *Q(K)*) and he said to Ezra we we have acted unfaithfully against God our and we have married women foreign from [the] peoples of the land and now there [is] hope for Israel on this.

3 Busa karon maghimo kita ug usa ka kasabotan sa atong Dios nga papaulion ang tanang mga babaye ug ang ilang mga anak sumala sa gitudlo sa Ginoo ug sa mga gipanudlo niadtong nagmahinadlokon sa mga mando sa atong Dios, ug tugoti kini nga mahitabo sumala sa balaod.

And therefore let us make a covenant to God our to send out all wives and those born from them by [the] counsel of [the] Lord and the [people] trembling at [the] commandment of God our and according to the law let it be done.

4 Barog, kay kining butanga alang kanimo aron ipatuman, ug mag-uban kami kanimo. Pagmalig-on ug buhata kini.”

Arise for [is] on you the matter and we [will be] with you be strong and act.

5 Busa mibarog si Esdras ug ang mga parianong opisyal, mga Levita, ug ang tanan sa Israel gipasaad sa pagbuhat niini. Busa silang tanan maligdong nga nanumpa.

And he arose Ezra and he made to swear an oath [the] leaders of the priests the Levites and all Israel to do according to the manner this and they swore [the] oath.

6 Unya mibarog si Esdras gikan sa atubangan sa balay sa Dios ug miadto sa lawak ni Jehohanan ang anak nga lalaki ni Eliasib. Wala siya mikaon sa bisan unsang tinapay o miinom bisan ug tubig, sanglit nagbangotan man siya mahitungod sa pagka dili matinumanon niadtong mga binihag.

And he arose Ezra from to before [the] house of God and he went into [the] room of Jehohanan [the] son of Eliashib and he went there food not he ate and water not he drank for [he was] mourning on [the] unfaithfulness of the exile[s].

7 Busa nagpadala sila ug pulong sa Juda ug sa Jerusalem ngadto sa tanang katawhan nga mibalik gikan sa pagkabihag aron magtigom sa Jerusalem.

And they caused to pass a proclamation in Judah and Jerusalem to all [the] children of the exile to assemble Jerusalem.

8 Si bisan kinsa ang dili moadto sulod sa tulo ka adlaw sumala sa mga panudlo gikan sa mga opisyal ug mga kadagkoan pagailogon ang tanan nilang kabtangan ug dili na mahiapil sa dakong panagtigom sa katawhan nga nahibalik gikan sa pagkabihag.

And every [one] who not he will come to [the] three the days according to [the] counsel of the leaders and the elders it will be forfeited all property his and he he will be separated from [the] assembly of the exile[s].

9 Busa ang tanang katawhan sa Juda ug sa Benjamin nagtigom sa Jerusalem sulod sa tulo ka adlaw. Ika-siyam nga bulan kadto ug ika-20 nga adlaw sa bulan. Ang tibuok katawhan nagbarog sa hawanan atubangan sa balay sa Dios ug nangurog tungod sa pulong ug sa ulan.

And they assembled all [the] people of Judah and Benjamin - Jerusalem to [the] three the days it [was the] month ninth on [day] twenty in the month and they sat all the people in [the] open place of [the] house of God trembling on the matter and from the rains.

10 Mibarog si Esdras nga pari ug miingon, “Nagbudhi kamo. Nagpuyo kamo uban ang mga babayeng langyaw nga maoy nakapadako sa sala sa Israel.

And he arose Ezra the priest and he said to them you you have acted unfaithfully and you have married women foreign to add to [the] guilt of Israel.

11 Apan karon dayega si Yahweh, ang Dios sa inyong katigulangan, ug buhata ang iyang kabubut-on. Bulag gikan sa katawhan sa maong yuta ug gikan sa mga babayeng langyaw.”

And therefore give praise to Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your and do will his and separate yourselves from [the] peoples of the land and from the women foreign.

12 Ang tibuok tigom mitubag sa makusog nga tingog, “Buhaton namo ang imong gisulti.

And they answered all the assembly and they said a voice great so (according to word your *Q(K)*) on us to do.

13 Apan, adunay daghang mga tawo, ug ting-ulan kini nga panahon. Wala na kami kusog nga mobarog pa sa gawas, ug dili lamang kini usa o duha ka adlaw nga buhaton, sanglit dako man ang among kalapasan niining butanga.

But the people [is] numerous and the time [is] rains and there not [is] ability to stand on the outside and the business not [belongs] to a day one and not to two for we have increased to transgress in the matter this.

14 Busa tugoti ang among mga opisyal nga magpaila sa tibuok tigom. Paanhia ang tanan nga mitugot sa mga babayeng langyaw nga magpuyo sa atong mga siyudad sa gitakdang panahon sa mga kadagkoan ug sa mga maghuhukom sa siyudad hangtod nga mawagtang gikan kanamo ang hilabihang kapungot sa Dios.”

Let them stand please leaders our for all the assembly and every [one] - who [is] in cities our who he has married women foreign let him come to times appointed and with them [the] elders of a city and a city and judges its until turn back [the] burning of [the] anger of God our from us until to the matter this.

15 Misupak niini ang anak nga lalaki ni Asahel nga si Jonatan ug si Jaaseia ang anak nga lalaki ni Tekoa, unya miuyon kanila si Mesulam ug si Sabetai nga usa ka Levita.

Only Jonathan [the] son of Asahel and Jahzeiah [the] son of Tikvah they stood on this and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Levite[s] they supported them.

16 Busa gibuhat kining tanan sa mga tawo nga nahibalik gikan sa pagkabihag. Si Esdras ang pari nagpili ug mga lalaki, ang mga pangulo sa mga banay sa ilang katigulangan ug panimalay—ang tanan sumala sa ilang ngalan, ug gisusi nila ang mga butang sa unang adlaw sa ika-napulo nga bulan.

And they did thus [the] children of the exile and they separated themselves Ezra the priest men [the] leaders of the fathers for [the] house of ancestors their and all of them by names and they sat down on day one of the month tenth to investigate the matter.

17 Sa unang adlaw sa unang bulan nahuman nila ang pagsusi kung kinsa ang mga tawo nga nakigminyo sa mga babayeng langyaw.

And they finished with everything [the] men who they had married women foreign until day one of the month first.

18 Taliwala sa mga kaliwat sa mga pari adunay mga nakigminyo sa mga babayeng langyaw. Lakip ang mga kaliwat ni Josue ang anak ni Josadak ug ang iyang mga igsoong lalaki nga si Maasias, si Elieser, si Jarib, ug si Gedalias.

And it was found some of [the] sons of the priests who they had married women foreign some of [the] sons of Jeshua [the] son of Jozadak and brothers his Maaseiah and Eliezer and Jarib and Gedaliah.

19 Busa hugot silang misaad nga isalikway ang ilang mga asawa. Sanglit nakasala man sila, naghalad sila ug torong karnero gikan sa panon sa kahayopan alang sa ilang sala.

And they gave hand their to send out wives their and [being] guilty a ram of [the] flock on guilt their.

20 Lakip sa mga kaliwat ni Imer: si Hanani ug si Sebadias.

And of [the] sons of Immer Hanani and Zebadiah.

21 Lakip sa mga kaliwat ni Harim: mao si Maasias, si Elias, si Semaias, si Jehiel, ug si Usias.

And of [the] sons of Harim Maaseiah and Elijah and Shemaiah and Jehiel and Uzziah.

22 Lakip sa mga kaliwat ni Pasur: si Elionai, si Maasias, si Ismael, si Netanel, si Josabad, ug si Elasa.

And of [the] sons of Pashhur Elioenai Maaseiah Ishmael Nethanel Jozabad and Eleasah.

23 Lakip sa mga Levita: mao si Josabad, Simei, Kelaias—nga ang laing ngalan mao si Kelita, si Fetaias, si Juda, ug si Elieser.

And of the Levites Jozabad and Shimei and Kelaiah that [is] Kelita Pethahiah Judah and Eliezer.

24 Lakip sa mga mag-aawit: mao si Eliasib. Lakip sa mga tigbantay sa ganghaan: mao si Salum, si Telem, ug si Uri.

And of the singers Eliashib and of the gatekeepers Shallum and Telem and Uri.

25 Taliwala sa nabilin nga mga Israelita—ang mga kaliwat ni Faros: nga si Remeya, si Isias, si Malquias, si Eleasar, si Malquias, si Benaias ug si Hasabias.

And of Israel of [the] sons of Parosh Ramiah and Izziah and Malkijah and Mijamin and Eleazar and Malkijah and Benaiah.

26 Lakip sa mga kaliwat ni Elam: mao si Matanias, si Zecarias, si Jehiel, si Abni, si Jeremot, ug si Elias.

And of [the] sons of Elam Mattaniah Zechariah and Jehiel and Abdi and Jeremoth and Elijah.

27 Lakip sa mga kaliwat ni Sato: mao si Elioenai, si Eliasib, si Matanias, si Jeremot, si Zabad, ug si Asisa.

And of [the] sons of Zattu Elioenai Eliashib Mattaniah and Jeremoth and Zabad and Aziza.

28 Lakip sa mga kaliwat ni Bebai: mao si Johakanan, si Hananias, si Zabai, ug si Atlai.

And of [the] sons of Bebai Jehohanan Hananiah Zabbai Athlai.

29 Lakip sa mga kaliwat ni Bani: mao si Mesulam, si Maluc, si Adaias, si Jasub, ug si Saal Jeremot.

And of [the] sons of Bani Meshullam Malluch and Adaiah Jashub and Sheal (and Ramoth. *Q(K)*)

30 Lakip sa mga kaliwat ni Pahat Moab: mao si Adna, si Calal, sii Benaias, si Maaseias, si Matanias, si Besalel, si Binui ug si Manases.

And of [the] sons of Pahath-Moab Adna and Kelal Benaiah Maaseiah Mattaniah Bezalel and Binnui and Manasseh.

31 Lakip sa mga kaliwat ni Harim: mao si Elieser, si Isiha, si Melquias, si Semaias, si Simeon,

And [the] sons of Harim Eliezer Isshiah Malkijah Shemaiah Simeon.

32 si Benjamin, si Maluc, ug si Semarias.

Benjamin Malluch Shemariah.

33 Lakip sa mga kaliwat ni Hasum: mao si Matenai, si Matata, si Sabad, si Elifelet, si Jeremai, si Manases, ug si Simei.

Of [the] sons of Hashum Mattenai Mattattah Zabad Eliphelet Jeremai Manasseh Shimei.

34 Lakip sa mga kaliwat ni Bani: mao si Maadai, si Amram, si Uel,

Of [the] sons of Bani Maadai Amram and Uel.

35 si Benaias, si Badeias, si Seluhi,

Benaiah Bedeiah (Keluhi. *Q(K)*)

36 si Banias, si Merimot, si Eliasib.

Vaniah Meremoth Eliashib.

37 si Matanias, si Matenai, ug si Jasu.

Mattaniah Mattenai (and Jaasai. *Q(K)*)

38 Lakip sa mga kaliwat ni Binui: mao si Simei Bani, si Binui, si Simei,

And Bani and Binnui Shimei.

39 si Selemias, si Natan, si Adaias,

And Shelemiah and Nathan and Adaiah.

40 si Maknadebai, si Sasai, si Sarai, si Sacai,

Machnadebai Shashai Sharai.

41 si Asarel, si Selemias, si Semarias,

Azarel and Shelemiah Shemariah.

42 si Salum, si Amarias, ug si Jose.

Shallum Amariah Joseph.

43 Sa mga kaliwat ni Nebo: si Jeiel, si Matitias, si Sabad, si Sebina, si Ido, si Joel, ug si Benaias.

Of [the] sons of Nebo Jeiel Mattithiah Zabad Zebina (Jaddai *Q(K)*) and Joel Benaiah.

44 Kining tanan nakigminyo sa mga langyaw apan gipalakaw nila uban ang ilang mga anak.

All these (they had taken *Q(K)*) women foreign and there [were] some of them wives and they [masc] had made children.
