Ezequiel 9
1 Unya nadungog ko ang iyang singgit, ug miingon, “Tugoti nga moadto ang mga tigbantay ngadto sa siyudad, padad-a ang matag-usa uban sa iyang hinagiban sa kalaglagan.”
Then I heard Yahweh call out loudly, “[You men who are going to punish this city, ] bring here the guards of the city, each carrying a weapon.”
2 Unya tan-awa! Miabot ang unom ka kalalakin-an gikan sa agianan sa ibabaw nga ganghaan nga nag-atubang sa amihanan, dala sa matag usa ang iyang hinagiban sa pagpatay. Adunay usa ka tawo sa ilang taliwala nga nagbisti ug lino nga adunay kagamitan sa escriba sa iyang kiliran. Busa misulod sila ug mibarog sa tapad sa tumbaga nga halaran.
Then I saw six men coming from the north gate of the temple area. Each one was carrying a weapon. With them was a man wearing a white linen robe. [carried] at his side a case containing things to write with. They [all] came into the temple and stood beside the bronze altar.
3 Unya mikayab ang himaya sa Dios sa Israel gikan sa mga kerubin diin kini nahimutang sa pultahan sa balay. Gitawag niya ang tawo nga nagbisti ug lino nga adunay kagamitan sa escriba sa iyang kiliran.
[Then] the (glory/dazzling light) [that symbolized the presence] of the God of Israel rose up from above the four winged creatures and moved to the entrance of the temple. Then Yahweh called to the man wearing the linen robe,
4 Miingon si Yahweh kaniya, “Agi taliwala sa siyudad —taliwala sa Jerusalem—ug paghimo ug timailhan sa mga agtang niadtong mga nag-agulo ug nanghupaw tungod sa tanang kadaotan nga gibuhat taliwala sa siyudad.”
and said to him, “Go throughout Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who are very sad [DOU] because of the detestable things that are being done inside the city.”
5 Unya nakigsulti siya sa uban samtang ako naminaw, “Agi sa siyudad sunod kaniya ug pagpatay. Ayaw pagpakita ug kaluoy, ug ayaw palingkawasa
While I was listening, he said to the other six men, “Follow the man wearing the white robe, and kill people. Do not pity them or act mercifully toward them.
6 hamtong man nga lalaki, batan-ong lalaki, ulay, gamay nga mga bata o kababayen-an. Pamatya silang tanan! Apan ayaw ilakip ang si bisan kinsa nga adunay timailhan sa iyang ulo. Pagsugod sa akong balaang dapit!” Busa nagsugod sila sa mga kadagkoan nga anaa atubangan sa balay.
Slaughter old men, young men and women, older women and children, but do not harm any of those who have that mark on their forehead. Start at my temple.” So they began by killing the elders who were [worshiping idols] in front of the temple.
7 Miingon siya kanila, “Hugawi ang balay, ug pun-a sa patay kining mga hawanan. Padayon!” Busa milakaw sila ug gisulong ang siyudad.
Then Yahweh said to those men, “Pollute the temple by filling the [with the corpses of those whom] you kill! Start now!” So they went out and starting killing people throughout the city.
8 Samtang gisulong nila kini, nakita ko ang akong kaugalingon nga nag-inusara, mihapa ug midanguyngoy ako ug miingon, “O, Yahweh nga Ginoo, laglagon mo ba ang tanang nahibilin sa Israel diha sa pagbubo sa imong kapungot sa Jerusalem?”
While they were doing that, I was left alone. I prostrated myself on the ground and cried out, “Yahweh my Lord, are you going to get rid of all the people of Israel and Judah who are still alive, while you are severely punishing [MTY] [the people of] Jerusalem?”
9 Miingon siya kanako, “Hilabihan gayod kadako ang kasal-anan sa panimalay sa Israel ug Juda.” Napuno ug dugo ang yuta ug napuno sa mga kadaotan ang siyudad, sanglit miingon man sila, 'Gikalimtan ni Yahweh ang yuta,' ug 'wala nakakita si Yahweh!'
He replied, “The sins of the people [MTY] of Israel and Judah are extremely great. People are murdered [MTY] everywhere [in this country], and this city is full of [people who act] unjustly. They say, ‘Yahweh has abandoned this country, and he does not [what we are doing].’
10 Busa, dili ako magpakita ug kaluoy, dili ko sila palingkawason. Dad-on ko hinuon kining tanan diha kanila.”
[So] I will not pity them or act mercifully toward them. I will do to them the evil things that they have done to other people.”
11 Tan-awa! mibalik ang tawo nga nagbisti ug lino nga adunay kagamitan sa escriba sa iyang kiliran. Nagpahibalo siya ug miingon, “Gibuhat ko na ang tanan nimong gimando.”
Then the man wearing the linen robe returned, saying, “I have done what you commanded me to do.”
