Ezequiel 33

1 Unya miabot kanako ang pulong ni Yahweh, nga nag-ingon,

Again, the woorde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

2 “Anak sa tawo, isulti kini ngadto sa imong katawhan; ingna sila, 'Sa dihang dad-on ko pag-usab ang espada batok sa bisan asa nga yuta, unya ang katawhan niana nga yuta mopilig usa ka tawo gikan kanila aron himoong magbalantay kanila.

Sonne of man, speake to the children of thy people, and say vnto them, When I bring the sworde vpon a lande, if the people of the lande take a man from among them, and make him their watchman,

3 Bantayan niya ang espada sa dihang mopadulong kini sa yuta, ug patingogon niya ang budyong aron pasidan-an ang katawhan!

If when hee seeth the sworde come vpon ye land, he blow the trumpet, and warne the people,

4 Kung madungog sa katawhan ang tingog sa budyong apan dili magpakabana niini, ug kung moabot ang espada ug mopatay kanila, nan ang dugo sa matag-usa paninglon kaniya.

Then hee that heareth the sounde of the trumpet, and will not bee warned, if the sworde come, and take him away, his blood shall be vpon his owne head.

5 Kung adunay makadungog sa tingog sa budyong apan wala magtagad niini, ang iyang kaugalingong dugo paninglon diha kaniya; apan kung mihatag siya ug pagtagad, giluwas niya ang iyang kinabuhi.

For he heard the sound of the trumpet, and woulde not bee admonished: therefore his blood shall be vpon him: but he that receiueth warning, shall saue his life.

6 Apan, kung ang magbalantay magtukaw ug makita ang espada nga moabot, apan kung wala niya gipatingog ang budyong, hinungdan nga wala makapangandam ang katawhan, ug kung moabot ang espada ug mokuha sa usa ka kinabuhi, nan kanang tawhana mamatay pinaagi sa kaugalingon niyang sala, apan paninglon ko ang iyang dugo gikan sa magbalantay.'

But if the watchman see the sworde come, and blowe not the trumpet, and the people be not warned: if the sworde come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away for his iniquitie, but his blood will I require at the watchmans hande.

7 Karon ikaw, anak sa tawo! Himoon ko ikaw nga magbalantay alang sa panimalay sa Israel; madungog nimo ang mga pulong gikan sa akong baba ug pasidan-an mo sila alang kanako.

So thou, O sonne of man, I haue made thee a watchman vnto the house of Israel: therefore thou shalt heare the woorde at my mouth, and admonish them from me.

8 Kung moingon ako ngadto sa daotang tawo, 'Daotang tawo, mamatay ka gayod!' apan kung dili nimo kini isulti ingon nga pasidaan sa tawong daotan mahitungod sa iyang dalan, ug kung kanang tawhana mamatay tungod sa iyang sala, ang dugo nianang tawhana paninglon ko gikan sa imong kamot!

When I shall say vnto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt die the death, if thou doest not speake, and admonish the wicked of his way, that wicked man shall die for his iniquitie, but his blood will I require at thine hand.

9 Apan kung, pasidan-an mo kanang tawhana mahitungod sa iyang binuhatan, aron nga talikdan niya kini, ug kung dili niya kini talikdan, nan mamatay siya tungod sa iyang sala, ug maluwas ang imong kinabuhi.

Neuerthelesse, If thou warne the wicked of his way, to turne from it, if he doe not turne from his way, he shall die for his iniquitie, but thou hast deliuered thy soule.

10 Busa ikaw, anak sa tawo, sultihi ang panimalay sa Israel, 'Nagsulti kamo niini, “Ang among mga kalapasan ug ang among kasal-anan anaa kanamo, ug nangadunot kami niini! Unsaon man namo pagkabuhi?'''

Therefore, O thou sonne of man, speake vnto the house of Israel, Thus yee speake and say, If our transgressions and our sinnes bee vpon vs, and we are consumed because of them, howe should we then liue?

11 Ingna sila, 'Ingon nga ako buhi—mao kini ang gipamulong ni Yahweh nga Ginoo, wala ako malipay sa kamatayon sa daotan, tungod kay kung ang daotan maghinulsol sa iyang binuhatan, nan mabuhi siya! Paghinulsol! Paghinulsol gikan sa inyong daotang binuhatan! Tungod kay nganong kinahanglan man kamo nga mamatay, panimalay sa Israel?'

Say vnto them, As I liue, sayeth the Lord God, I desire not the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turne from his way and liue: turne you, turne you from your euill waies, for why will ye die, O ye house of Israel?

12 Busa karon, anak sa tawo, sultihi ang imong katawhan, 'Ang pagkamatarong sa tawo dili makaluwas kaniya kung siya makasala! Ang pagkadaotan sa tawo dili makalaglag kaniya kung maghinulsol siya gikan sa iyang kasal-anan! Tungod kay ang tawong matarong dili mabuhi tungod sa iyang pagkamatarong kung siya makasala.

Therefore thou sonne of man, saye vnto the children of thy people, The righteousnesse of the righteous shall not deliuer him in the day of his transgression, nor the wickednesse of the wicked shall cause him to fall therein, in the day that he returneth from his wickednesse, neither shall the righteous liue for his righteousnesse in the day that he sinneth.

13 Kung moingon ako ngadto sa matarong, “Sigurado gayod nga buhi siya!” ug kung mosalig siya sa iyang pagkamatarong ug makabuhat sa dili makiangayon, dili ko hinumdoman ang iyang pagkamatarong. Mamatay gayod siya tungod sa daotan niyang nabuhat.

When I shall say vnto the righteous, that he shall surely liue, if he trust to his owne righteousnes, and commit iniquitie, all his righteousnes shall be no more remembred, but for his iniquitie that he hath committed, he shall die for the same.

14 Busa kung mosulti ako sa tawong daotan, “Mamatay ka gayod,” apan kung maghinulsol siya gikan sa iyang pagpakasala ug mobuhat kung unsa ang angay ug matarong,

Againe when I shall say vnto the wicked, thou shalt die the death, if he turne from his sinne, and doe that which is lawfull and right,

15 ug kung ibalik niya ang garantiya sa hulam nga mapugsanon niyang gipangayo, o kung ibalik niya kung unsa ang iyang gikawat, ug kung molakaw siya sa kasugoan nga mohatag ug kinabuhi ug dili na magpakasala, nan mabuhi gayod siya. Dili siya mamatay.

To wit, if the wicked restore the pledge, and giue againe that he had robbed, and walke in the statutes of life, without committing iniquitie, he shall surely liue, and not die.

16 Wala sa mga sala nga iyang nabuhat ang pagahinumdoman pa. Nagbuhat siyag angay ug matarong, ug busa, sigurado gayod nga mabuhi siya!

None of his sinnes that he hath comitted, shall be mentioned vnto him: because he hath done that, which is lawful, and right, he shall surely liue.

17 Apan miingon ang imong katawhan, “Ang pamaagi sa Ginoo dili makiangayon!” apan ang imong mga pamaagi dili makiangayon!

Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equall: but their owne way is vnequall.

18 Sa dihang ang matarong nga tawo mobiya gikan sa pagkamatarong ug unya mobuhat sa pagpakasala, nan mamatay gayod siya!

When the righteous turneth from his righteousnesse, and committeth iniquitie, he shall euen die thereby.

19 Sa dihang ang tawong daotan mobiya gikan sa iyang pagkadaotan ug mobuhat kung unsa ang angay ug matarong, nan mabuhi gayod siya tungod niadtong mga butanga!

But if the wicked returne from his wickednesse, and doe that which is lawfull and right, hee shall liue thereby.

20 Apan kamo nga katawhan miingon, “Ang pamaagi sa Ginoo dili makiangayon!” Hukman ko ang matag-usa kaninyo sumala sa iyang binuhatan, panimalay sa Israel!”

Yet yee say, The way of the Lord is not equall. O ye house of Israel, I will iudge you euery one after his waies.

21 Nahitabo kini sa ika-dose ka tuig, sa ika lima ka adlaw sa ika-napulo nga bulan sa atong pagkabinihag, nga adunay mikalagiw gikan sa Jerusalem nga miduol kanako ug miingon, “Nabihag ang siyudad!”

Also in the twelfth yere of our captiuitie, in the tenth moneth, and in the fift day of the moneth, one that had escaped out of Ierusalem, came vnto me, and said, The citie is smitten.

22 Sa kagabhion ang kamot ni Yahweh nagauban kanako sa wala pa miabot ang mga mikalagiw, ug naabri ang akong baba sa takna nga miabot siya sa kabuntagon. Busa ang akong baba naabri; dili na gayod ako amang!

Now the hand of the Lord had bene vpon me in ye euening afore hee that had escaped, came, and had opened my mouth vntill he came to me in the morning: and when hee had opened my mouth, I was no more dumme.

23 Unya ang pulong ni Yahweh miabot kanako, ug miingon,

Againe the worde of the Lord came vnto me, and saide,

24 Anak sa Tawo, ang mga tawo nga namuyo niadtong linumpag sa yuta sa Israel miingon, 'Nag-inusara lamang si Abraham, ug napanunod niya ang yuta, apan kita daghan! Gihatag ang yuta alang kanato ingon nga panag-iyahon.'

Sonne of man, these that dwel in the desolate places of the land of Israel, talke and say, Abraham was but one, and hee possessed the lande: but we are many, therefore the lande shall be giuen vs in possession.

25 Busa ingna sila, 'Miingon si Yahweh nga Ginoo: Mokaon kamo ug dugo, ug iyahat ang inyong panan-aw diha sa inyong diosdios, unya paagason ninyo ang dugo sa katawhan. Angayan ba gayod kamong manag-iya niining yutaa?

Wherefore say vnto them, Thus saieth the Lord God, Ye eate with the blood, and lift vp your eyes towarde your idoles, and sheade blood: should ye then possesse the land?

26 Nagsalig lamang kamo sa inyong mga espada ug nagbuhat sa law-ay nga mga butang; ang matag lalaki nakigdulog sa asawa sa uban. Angay ba gayod kamong manag-iya sa yuta?'

Ye leane vpon your swordes: ye worke abomination, and yee defile euery one his neighbours wife: should ye then possesse the land?

27 Isulti kini kanila, 'Si Yahweh nga Ginoo nagsulti niini: Ingon nga ako buhi, sigurado gayod nga ang usa nga anaa sa linumpag mamatay pinaagi sa espada, ug ihatag ko kadtong anaa sa mga uma ingon nga pagkaon sa mga buhing binuhat, ug mangamatay sa hampak kadtong anaa sa kota ug sa mga langob.

Say thus vnto them, Thus saieth the Lord God, As I liue, so surely they that are in the desolate places, shall fall by the sword: and him that is in the open field, will I giue vnto the beasts to be deuoured: and they that be in the forts and in the caues, shall die of the pestilence.

28 Unya himoon ko ang yuta nga awaaw ug makahahadlok, ug ang garbo sa pagkabantogan niini matapos gayod, tungod kay ang kabungtoran sa Israel mahimong biniyaan, ug walay usa nga moagi niini.'

For I will lay the land desolate and waste, and the pompe of her strength shall cease: and the moutaines of Israel shalbe desolate, and none shall passe through.

29 Busa masayod sila nga ako mao si Yahweh, sa dihang buhaton ko nga mingaw ug makahahadlok ang yuta tungod sa tanang dulumtanang mga butang nga ilang gibuhat.

Then shall they know that I am the Lord, when I haue laid ye land desolate and wast, because of al their abominations, that they haue committed.

30 Busa karon, anak sa tawo, nagsulti ang imong katawhan sa mga butang mahitungod kaninyo diha sa kilid sa mga pader ug sa mga ganghaan sa mga panimalay, nagsulti ang matag-usa—ang matag lalaki ngadto sa iyang igsoon nga lalaki, 'Moadto kita ug maminaw sa mga pulong ni Yahweh nga isulti sa propeta!'

Also thou sonne of man, the children of thy people that talke of thee by the wals and in the dores of houses, and speake one to another, euery one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and heare what is the word that commeth from the Lord.

31 Busa moduol kanako ang akong katawhan sama sa kasagaran nilang ginabuhat, ug molingkod sila sa imong atubangan ug maminaw sa imong mga pulong, apan dili nila kini tumanon. Ang matarong nga mga pulong anaa sa ilang mga baba, apan ang ilang mga kasingkasing nagtinguha sa dili makiangayong butang.

For they come vnto thee, as the people vseth to come: and my people sit before thee, and heare thy wordes, but they will not doe them: for with their mouthes they make iestes, and their heart goeth after their couetousnesse.

32 Tungod kay sama ka sa usa ka nindot nga awit diha kanila, usa ka maanindot nga sonata nga gitugtog sa kinuldasang tulonggon, busa maminaw sila sa imong mga pulong, apan walay usa kanila ang misunod niini.

And loe, thou art vnto them, as a iesting song of one that hath a pleasant voyce, and can sing well: for they heare thy woordes, but they doe them not.

33 Busa sa dihang mahitabo kining tanan, pagbantay! Mahitabo kini! Unya masayod sila nga ang usa ka propeta kauban nila.”

And when this commeth to passe (for loe, it will come) then shall they know, that a Prophet hath bene among them.
