Ezequiel 20
1 Nahitabo kini sa ikapito nga tuig, sa ikanapulo nga adlaw sa ikalima nga bulan, nga miabot ang mga kadagkoan sa Israel aron sa pagpakisayod kang Yahweh ug milingkod sa akong atubangan.
And it came to pass in the seventh year in the fifth month, on the tent of the month, that there came in men of the elders of Israel to enquire of Yahweh, —and they sat before me.
2 Unya miabot ang pulong ni Yahweh nganhi kanako, nga nag-ingon,
Then came the word of Yahweh unto me saying: -
3 “Anak sa tawo, ipahayag ngadto sa mga kadagkoan sa Israel ug sultihi sila, 'Miingon si Yahweh nga Ginoo niini: Mianhi ba kamo aron sa pagpakisayod kanako? Ingon nga ako buhi, dili na gayod ninyo ako mapangutana! —mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh nga Ginoo.'
Son of man Speak thou with the elders of Israel and say unto them, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, To enquire of me, are ye coming in? As I live, verily I will not be enquired of by you, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
4 Hukman mo ba sila? Maghukom ka ba, anak sa tawo? Pahibaloa sila mahitungod sa daotang mga butang nga gipangbuhat sa ilang mga amahan.
Wilt thou judge them, wilt thou judge, O son of man? The abominations of their fathers, let them know:
5 Isulti kini kanila, 'Miingon si Yahweh nga Ginoo niini: Sa adlaw nga akong gipili ang Israel ug giisa nako ang akong kamot aron sa pagpanumpa ngadto sa mga kaliwat sa panimalay ni Jacob, ug gipaila ang akong kaugalingon ngadto kanila sa yuta sa Ehipto, sa dihang giisa ko ang akong kamot aron sa pagpanumpa kanila. Miingon ako, “Ako si Yahweh nga inyong Dios”—
So then thou shalt say unto them Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, In the day when I made choice of Israel, then lifted I up my hand. to the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known to them, in the land of Egypt, - Yea I lifted up my hand to them, saying, I Yahweh, am your God.
6 nianang adlawa giisa ko ang akong kamot aron sa pagpanumpa ngadto kanila nga pagawson ko sila gikan sa yuta sa Ehipto ngadto sa yuta nga gipili ko gayod pag-ayo alang kanila. Nagadagayday niini ang gatas ug dugos; labing maanindot ug tabunok kini taliwala sa tanang kayutaan.
In that day, lifted I up my hand to them, to bring them forth out of the land of Egypt, —into a land that I had looked out for them flowing with milk and honey, The beauty, it was of all lands,
7 Miingon ako kanila, “Ipalabay sa matag tawo ang dulumtanang mga butang ug ang mga diosdios sa Ehipto nga iyang gisimba. Ayaw hugawi ang inyong kaugalingon; Ako si Yahweh nga inyong Dios.”
And I said unto them. Every one the abomination of his eyes, cast ye away, And with the manufactured gods of Egypt, let it not be that ye defile yourselves: I, Yahweh, am your God.
8 Apan misupak sila batok kanako ug dili buot maminaw kanako. Wala gipanglabay sa matag tawo ang dulumtanang mga butang ni gisalikway ang mga diosdios sa Ehipto nga iyang gisimba, busa buot ko gayod nga ibubo ang akong kapungot ngadto kanila aron sa pagtagbaw sa akong kaligutgot ngadto kanila taliwala sa yuta sa Ehipto.
But they rebelled against me And were not willing to hearken unto me, Every man the abominations of their eyes, they cast not away, And the manufactured gods of Egypt, forsook they not; Therefore spake I of pouring out mine indignation upon them to bring mine anger to an end against them, in the midst of the land of Egypt.
9 Namuhat ako alang sa kaayohan sa akong ngalan aron nga dili kini mapasipalahan diha sa atubangan sa mga nasod diin sila namuyo. Gipaila ko ang akong kaugalingon ngadto kanila, sa ilang atubangan, pinaagi sa pagpagawas kanila gikan sa yuta sa Ehipto.
Howbeit I wrought with effect, for the sake of mine own Name, that it might not be profaned—before the eyes of the nations in whose midst they were, —before whose eyes I made myself known unto them, by bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.
10 Busa gipagawas ko sila sa yuta sa Ehipto ug gidala sila ngadto sa kamingawan.
Therefore brought I them forth out of the land of Egypt, —and caused them to come into the desert.
11 Unya gihatag ko kanila ang akong mga balaod ug gipahibalo ko ang akong mga kasugoan ngadto kanila, nga diin mabuhi ang tawo kung motuman siya niini.
Then gave I unto them my statutes, And my regulations, caused I them to know, - By the which the man that doeth them shall live.
12 Gihatag ko usab kanila ang akong mga Adlaw nga Igpapahulay ingon nga timaan tali sa akong kaugalingon ug kanila, aron mahibaloan nila nga ako si Yahweh ang naghimo kanila nga balaan.
Moreover also my sabbaths, gave I unto them, to become a sign betwixt me and them, —that it might be known that, I, Yahweh, was hallowing them.
13 Apan misupak ang panimalay sa Israel batok kanako didto sa kamingawan. Wala sila naglakaw diha sa akong mga balaod; hinuon, gisalikway nila ang akong mga kasugoan, nga diin mabuhi ang tawo kung motuman siya niini. Gipasipad-an nila pag-ayo ang akong mga Adlaw nga Igpapahulay, busa miingon ako nga ibubo ko ngadto kanila ang akong kapungot didto sa kamingawan aron sa pagtapos kanila.
But the house of Israel, rebelled against me, in the desert, In my statutes, walked they not, And my regulations, they rejected By the which the man, that doeth them, shall live, My sabbaths also, they profaned exceedingly. Therefore spake I of pouring out mine indignation upon them in the desert, to make an end of them.
14 Apan namuhat ako alang sa akong ngalan aron nga dili kini mapasipalahan diha sa atubangan sa mga nasod, nga nakakita sa akong pagpagawas kanila gikan sa Ehipto.
Howbeit I wrought with effect for the sake of mine own Name, —that it should not be profaned in the eyes of the nations, in whose eyes I had brought them forth.
15 Busa giisa ko usab ang akong kamot aron sa pagpanumpa kanila ngadto sa kamingawan nga dili sila dad-on ngadto sa yuta nga igahatag unta nako kanila, ang yuta nga nagadagayday ang gatas ug dugos, nga mao ang labing matahom ug tabunok taliwala sa tanang kayutaan.
Yet even I lifted up my hand to them. in the desert, — That I would not bring them into the land which I had given to them flowing with milk and honey, The beauty, it was. of all lands:
16 Gipanumpa ko kini tungod kay gisalikway nila ang akong mga kasugoan ug wala naglakaw diha sa akong mga balaod, ug gipasipalahan nila ang akong mga Adlaw nga Igpapahulay, sanglit nagsunod man ang ilang mga kasingkasing sa ilang mga diosdios.
Because my regulations, they had rejected. And as for my statutes, they had not walked therein, My sabbaths also, had they profaned; For after their manufactured gods, their heart had been going.
17 Apan gikaluy-an ko sila gikan sa ilang kalaglagan ug wala ko sila patya ngadto sa kamingawan.
Nevertheless mine eye threw a shield over them that they should not be destroyed; So I made not of them a full end in the desert.
18 Miingon ako sa ilang mga anak nga lalaki ug mga anak nga babaye ngadto sa kamingawan, “Ayaw paglakaw sumala sa mga balaod sa inyong mga ginikanan; ayaw sunda ang ilang mga kasugoan o pasipalahan ang inyong mga kaugalingon pinaagi sa mga diosdios.
But I said unto their children in the desert, In the statutes of your fathers, let it not be that ye walk, And their regulations, let it not be that ye observe, — And with their manufactured gods, let it not be that ye defile yourselves.
19 Ako si Yahweh nga inyong Dios, paglakaw diha sa akong mga balaod; tipigi ang akong mga kasugoan ug tumana kini.
I, Yahweh, am your God, In my statutes, walk ye, — And my regulations, observe ye and do them;
20 Balaana ang akong mga Adlaw nga Igpapahulay aron nga mahimo kining timaan tali kanako ug kaninyo, aron nga mahibaloan ninyo nga ako si Yahweh nga inyong Dios.”
My sabbaths also, hallow ye, — And they shall become a sign betwixt me and you, That it may be known that I Yahweh am your God.
21 Apan misupak batok kanako ang ilang mga anak nga lalaki ug mga babaye. Wala sila maglakaw diha sa akong mga balaod o gisunod ang akong mga kasugoan, nga diin mahimong mabuhi ang tawo kung motuman siya niini. Gipasipalahan nila ang akong Adlaw nga Igpapahulay, busa buot ko gayod nga ibubo ang akong kapungot ngadto kanila aron sa pagtagbaw sa akong kaligutgot batok kanila didto sa kamingawan.
Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me, In my statutes, walked they not, And my regulations, observed they not to do them Wherein the man who shall do them shall live, My sabbaths, they profaned. Therefore spake I of pouring out mine indignation upon them to bring mine anger to an end against them. in the desert.
22 Apan gipaiway ko ang akong kamot ug namuhat alang sa akong ngalan, aron nga dili kini mapasipalahan diha sa atubangan sa mga nasod nga nakakita sa akong pagpagawas sa mga Israelita.
Howbeit I withdrew my hand, and wrought with effect for the sake of mine own Name, —that it should not be profaned before the eyes of the nations, before whose eyes I had brought them forth:
23 Busa giisa ko usab ang akong kamot ug nanumpa kanila didto sa kamingawan, nga patibulaagon ko sila taliwala sa kanasoran ug ipakatag sila taliwala sa kayutaan.
Even, I, lifted up my hand to them in the desert, — That I would disperse them throughout the nations, And scatter them throughout the lands;
24 Nakahukom ako sa pagbuhat niini sanglit wala man nila tumana ang akong mga kasugoan, ug sanglit gisalikway man nila ang akong mga balaod ug gipasipalahan ang akong mga Adlaw nga Igpapahulay. Nagtinguha sila sa pagsunod sa mga diosdios sa ilang mga amahan.
Because my regulations, had they not done And my statutes, they had rejected, My sabbaths also, they had profaned, - And after the manufactured gods of their fathers, were their eyes turned.
25 Unya gihatagan ko usab sila ug dili maayo nga mga balaod, ug mga kasugoan nga diin dili sila mabuhi.
I myself, indeed, suffered them to walk in statutes which were not good, — And regulations in which they could not live.
26 Gihugawan ko sila pinaagi sa ilang mga gasa sa dihang naghimo sila ug paghalad sa matag kamagulangan sa tagoangkan ug sunogon sila. Gibuhat ko kini sa paglisang kanila ug aron mahibaloan nila nga ako si Yahweh.'
Yea I let them defile themselves with their gifts, when they caused every firstborn to pass through the fire, -. that I might make them desolate. To the end they might know that, I, am Yahweh.
27 Busa, anak sa tawo, pagpakigsulti sa panimalay sa Israel ug sultihi sila, 'Miingon si Yahweh nga Ginoo niini: Niining paagiha nagpasipala usab ang inyong mga amahan kanako sa dihang wala sila nagmatinud-anon kanako.
Therefore speak thou unto the house of Israel Son of man, and say unto them, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, — Yet further in this, did your fathers insult me, by the treachery wherewith they dealt treacherously against me;
28 Sa dihang gidala ko sila ngadto sa yuta nga akong gipanumpa nga ihatag kanila, ug unya inig kakita nila ug bisan unsa nga taas nga bungtod ug labong nga kahoy, naghalad sila sa ilang mga halad, gihagit nila ako pinaagi sa ilang mga halad, ug nagsunog usab sila didto ug humot nga insenso ug gibubo ang ilang mga halad nga ilimnon.
When I brought them into the land as to which I had lifted up mine hand to give it them, then beheld they every high hill and every tangled tree And offered there their sacrifices, And presented there, their provoking gift, And placed there, their satisfying odour, And poured out there, their drink- offerings.
29 Unya miingon ako kanila, “Unsa man kining taas nga dapit diin nagdala kamo ug mga halad didto?” Busa ginganlan kini ug ngalan nga Bama hangtod niining adlawa.'
Therefore said I unto them, What! a high-place, whereinto ye are entering? And so the name thereof hath been called High-place, until this day.
30 Busa sultihi ang panimalay sa Israel, 'Miingon si Yahweh nga Ginoo niini: Nganong gihugawan man ninyo ang inyong mga kaugalingon pinaagi sa mga pamaagi sa inyong mga amahan? Busa nganong nagpakasama man kamo sa mga babaye nga nagbaligya ug dungog, nga nagapangita ug malaw-ay nga mga butang?
Therefore say thou unto the house of Israel. Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Is it in the way of your fathers, ye are defiling yourselves, - And after their abominations, that ye are committing lewdness?
31 Kay sa dihang gihalad ninyo ang inyong mga gasa ug gisunog ninyo ang inyong mga anak nga lalaki, hangtod niining adlawa gihugawan ninyo ang inyong mga kaugalingon pinaagi sa tanan ninyong mga diosdios. Busa nganong tugotan ko man kamo sa pagpangutana kanako, panimalay sa Israel? Ingon nga ako buhi—mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh—dili ko gayod kamo tugotan sa pagpangutana kanako.
Yea when ye lift up your gifts When ye cause your children to pass through the fire, Ye are defiling yourselves unto all your manufactured gods unto this day, And shall, I, be enquired of by you O house of Israel? As I live, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, Surely I will not be enquired of by you.
32 Dili gayod mahitabo ang inyong gihunahuna. Moingon kamo, “Magpakasama kita sa ubang mga nasod, sama sa mga banay didto sa ubang mga yuta nga nagsimba sa kahoy ug bato.”
And as for that which is rising up on your spirit, it shall, not at all come to pass, In that ye are saying Let us be like the nations Like the families of the lands, By ministering unto Wood and Stone!
33 Ingon nga ako buhi —mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh—maghari gayod ako diha kaninyo pinaagi sa gamhanang kamot, sa giisa nga bukton, ug sa igabubo nga kapungot diha kaninyo.
As I live, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, Surely, with a strong hand and With an outstretched arm and With outpoured indignation, Will I be king over you;
34 Pagawson ko kamo gikan sa ubang katawhan ug tigomon ko kamo gikan sa mga nasod diin kamo gipatibulaag. Buhaton ko kini pinaagi sa gamhanang kamot ug sa gibubo nga kapungot.
And I will bring you forth from among the peoples, And gather you together out of the lands, throughout which ye have been dispersed, With a strong hand and With an outstretched arm, and With outpoured indignation;
35 Unya dad-on ko kamo ngadto sa kamingawan sa mga katawhan, ug atubangon ko kamo didto ug pagahukman.
And I will bring you into the desert of the peoples, —and will contend with you there, face to face.
36 Ingon nga gihukman ko ang inyong mga amahan ngadto sa kamingawan sa yuta sa Ehipto, busa hukman ko usab kamo—mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh.
Just as I contended with your fathers in the desert of the land of Egypt, So will I contend with you, Declareth My Lord Yahweh;
37 Pasuongon ko kamo sa ilalom sa akong sungkod, ug patumanon ko kamo sa akong mga gikinahanglan sa kasabotan.
And I will cause you to pass under the rod And will bring you into the bond of the covenant;
38 Laglagon ko ang mga masinupakon diha kaninyo ug kadtong mga nakigbatok kanako. Papahawaon ko sila gikan sa yuta diin nagpuyo sila ingon nga mga langyaw, apan dili sila makasulod sa yuta sa Israel. Unya mahibaloan ninyo nga ako si Yahweh.
And will sever from you those who are rebelling and those who are transgressing against me, Out of the land of their sojournings, will I bring them forth, Yet upon the soil of Israel, shall they not enter, So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.
39 Busa alang kaninyo, panimalay sa Israel, miingon si Yahweh nga Ginoo niini: Kinahanglan nga moadto ang matag usa kaninyo sa iyang kaugalingong mga diosdios. Simbaha sila kung modumili kamo sa pagpaminaw kanako, apan kinahanglan nga dili na ninyo pasipalahan ang akong balaan nga ngalan pinaagi sa inyong mga gasa ug sa inyong mga diosdios.
But as for you, O house of Israel Thus, saith my Lord. Yahweh, Go. serve every man his own manufactured gods, Yet afterwards, surely Ye shall be ready to hearken unto me, — And my holy name, shall ye profane no more, With your gifts, and With your manufactured gods.
40 Kay sa akong balaan nga bukid, sa kinatumyan sa bukid sa Israel—mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh—simbahon ako sa tanang panimalay sa Israel didto sa yuta. Mahimuot ako sa pagpadala kaninyo ug mga halad didto, ug ang unang mga abot nga inyong gigahin uban sa inyong mga balaang butang.
For in my holy mountain. In the mountain of the height of Israel, Declareth, My Lord Yahweh, There shall all the house of Israel serve me, all of it, in the land, There will I accept them, and There, will I seek your heave-offerings and the firstfruits of your gifts, in all your holy things:
41 Dawaton ko kamo sama sa humot nga insenso sa dihang pagawson ko kamo gikan sa mga katawhan ug tigomon kamo gikan sa mga nasod diin kamo gipatibulaag. Ipakita ko ang akong kaugalingon ingon nga balaan taliwala kaninyo aron makita sa mga nasod.
As a satisfying odour, will I accept you, Through my bringing you forth from among the peoples, And gathering you out of the lands, throughout which ye have been dispersed; Thus will I hallow myself in you before the eyes of the nations.
42 Unya, makaila kamo nga ako si Yahweh sa dihang dad-on ko na kamo sa yuta sa Israel, ngadto sa yuta diin giisa ko ang akong kamot aron sa pagpanumpa nga ihatag sa inyong mga amahan.
So shall ye know that I am Yahweh, Through my bringing you in unto the soil of Israel, Unto the land as to which I lifted up my hand, to give it unto your fathers.
43 Unya mahinumdoman ninyo didto ang daotan ninyong mga binuhatan, ug ang tanan ninyong mga binuhatan nga nakapahugaw kaninyo, ug kasilagan ninyo ang inyong mga kaugalingon diha sa inyong panan-aw alang sa tanan ninyong daotang mga butang nga inyong gibuhat.
Then shall ye call to mind. there, your own ways and all your own doings, wherewith ye had defiled yourselves, - And ye shall become loathsome in your own sight, for all your wickednesses, which ye have done.
44 Busa mahibaloan ninyo nga ako si Yahweh sa dihang himoon ko kini kaninyo alang sa akong ngalan, dili alang sa inyong daotang mga pamaagi o sa inyong malaw-ay nga binuhatan, panimalay sa Israel—mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh nga Ginoo.'”
So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh, Through my dealing effectively with you, for the sake of mine own Name, - Not according to your own wicked ways. Nor according to your corrupted doings. O house of Israel, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
45 Unya miabot ang pulong ni Yahweh kanako, nga nag-ingon,
Then came the word of Yahweh unto me. saying:
46 “Anak sa tawo, atubang sa habagatang bahin sa kayutaan, ug pagpakigsulti batok sa habagatan; pagpanagna batok sa kalasangan sa Negev.
Son of man Set thy face the way towards Teman, And drop thy word against the land of the sun, And prophesy unto the forest of the field of the South;
47 Isulti ngadto sa kalasangan sa Negev, 'Mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh—miingon si Yahweh nga Ginoo niini: Tan-awa, maghaling ako ug kalayo diha kaninyo. Sunogon niini ang matag lunhaw nga kahoy ug ang matag laya nga kahoy diha kaninyo. Dili mapalong ang nagdilaab nga kalayo; pagasunogon ang tanang tawo nga gikan sa habagatan paingon sa amihanan.
And thou shalt say to the forest of the South Hear the word of Yahweh, — Thus saith My Lord Yahweh-Behold me! kindling in thee a fire. And it shall devour in thee every moist tree and every dry tree. The spreading flame shall not be quenched, Then shall be scorched thereby all faces from south to north;
48 Unya makakita ang tanang tawo nga ako si Yahweh sa dihang dagkotan ko ang kalayo, ug dili kini mapalong.'”
And all flesh shall see that I. Yahweh have kindled it, - It shall not be quenched.
49 Unya miingon ako, “Pagkaalaot! Yahweh nga Ginoo, moingon sila kanako, 'Dili ba tigsulti lamang siya ug mga sambingay?”'
Then said I, Ah! My Lord Yahweh: They are saying of me, Is not he a putter forth of parables?
