Ester 3
1 Human niining mga butanga, gipauswag ni Haring Ahasuerus si Haman ang anak nga lalaki ni Hamedata nga Agagnon, ug gibutang ang iyang lingkoranan labaw sa tanang mga opisyal nga uban niya.
After these things did King Ahashuerosh promote Haman the sonne of Hammedatha the Agagite, and exalted him, and set his seate aboue all the princes that were with him.
2 Kanunay moluhod ug mohapa ang tanang mga sulugoon sa hari nga anaa sa ganghaan sa hari ngadto kang Haman, sama sa gimando sa hari nga ilang pagabuhaton. Apan wala miluhod ni mihapa si Mordecai.
And all the Kings seruants that were at the Kings gate, bowed their knees, and reuerenced Haman: for the King had so commanded concerning him: but Mordecai bowed not the knee, neither did reuerence.
3 Unya miingon kang Mordecai ang mga sulugoon sa hari nga anaa sa ganghaan sa hari, “Nganong misupak ka man sa mando sa hari?”
Then the Kings seruants which were at the Kings gate, said vnto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the Kings commandement?
4 Misulti sila kaniya adlaw-adlaw, apan midumili siya sa pagtuman sa ilang mga hangyo. Busa misulti sila kang Haman aron tan-awon kung magpabilin nga sama niana ang mga butang mahitungod kang Mordecai, kay miingon siya ngadto kanila nga siya usa ka Judio.
And albeit they spake dayly vnto him, yet he would not heare them: therefore they tolde Haman, that they might see how Mordecais matters would stande: for he had tolde them, that he was a Iewe.
5 Sa dihang nakita ni Haman nga wala miluhod ug miyukbo si Mordecai kaniya, napuno sa kasuko si Haman.
And when Haman sawe that Mordecai bowed not the knee vnto him, nor did reuerence vnto him, then Haman was full of wrath.
6 Nagpasipala siya sa panghunahuna nga patyon lamang si Mordecai, kay ang sulugoon sa hari miingon kaniya kung kinsa ang katawhan ni Mordecai. Buot pamatyon ni Haman ang tanang mga Judio, ang katawhan ni Mordecai, nga anaa sa tibuok gingharian ni Ahasuerus.
Now he thought it too litle to lay hands onely on Mordecai: and because they had shewed him the people of Mordecai, Haman sought to destroy all the Iewes, that were throughout the whole kingdome of Ahashuerosh, euen the people of Mordecai.
7 Sa unang bulan (nga bulan sa Nisan), sa ikanapulo ug duha ka tuig ni Haring Ahasuerus, ang Pur—nga maoy ripa giitsa sa—atubangan ni Haman, aron pagpili sa adlaw ug bulan. Giitsa nila ang ripa hangtod napadulong sa ikanapulo ug duha ka bulan (nga bulan sa Adar).
In the first moneth (that is the moneth Nisan) in the twelft yere of King Ahashuerosh, they cast Pur (that is a lot) before Haman, from day to day, and from moneth to moneth, vnto the twelft moneth, that is the moneth Adar.
8 Unya miingon si Haman ngadto kang Haring Ahasuerus, “Adunay usa ka pundok sa katawhan nga nagkatag ug nagkatibulaag sa tanang mga probinsya sa imong gingharian. Lahi ang ilang mga balaod gikan niadtong ubang katawhan, ug wala nila tumana ang mga balaod sa hari, busa dili maayo alang sa hari nga tugotan sila nga magpabilin.
Then Haman said vnto King Ahashuerosh, There is a people scattered, and dispersed among the people in all the prouinces of thy kingdome, and their lawes are diuers from all people, and they doe not obserue the Kings lawes: therefore it is not the Kings profite to suffer them.
9 Kung ikahimuot kini sa hari, paghatag ug sugo nga pamatyon sila, ug magbayad ako ug 10, 000 ka talent nga plata ngadto sa kamot niadtong sinaligan nga tigpatigayon sa hari, aron ibutang nila kini didto sa panudlanan sa hari.”
If it please the King, let it be written that they may he destroyed, and I will pay ten thousand talents of siluer by the handes of them that haue the charge of this businesse to bring it into the Kings treasurie.
10 Unya gitanggal sa hari ang iyang pangselyo nga singsing sa iyang kamot ug gihatag kang Haman nga anak nga lalaki ni Hamedata nga Agagnon, ang kaaway sa mga Judio.
Then the King tooke his ring from his hand and gaue it vnto Haman the sonne of Hammedatha the Agagite the Iewes aduersarie.
11 Miingon ang hari kang Haman, “Sigurohon ko nga mabalik ang salapi diha kanimo ug sa imong katawhan. Buhata ang bisan unsa nga gitinguha nimo nga buhaton.”
And the King sayde vnto Haman, Let the siluer be thine, and the people to doe with them as it pleaseth thee.
12 Unya gipatawag ang mga escriba sa hari sa ikanapulo ug tulo ka adlaw sa unang bulan, ug ang sugo naglangkob sa tanan nga gimando ni Haman gisulat ngadto sa mga gobernador sa probinsya sa hari, niadtong anaa sa tibuok nga mga probinsya, ngadto sa tanang nagkalainlaing mga katawhan, ug ngadto sa mga opisyal sa tanang katawhan, sa matag probinsya sa ilang kaugalingong sinulatan, ug sa matag katawhan sa ilang kaugalingong pinulongan. Gisulat kini sa ngalan ni Haring Ahasuerus ug giselyohan sa iyang singsing.
Then were the Kings scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first moneth, and there was written (according to all that Haman commanded) vnto the Kings officers, and to the captaines that were ouer euery prouince, and to the rulers of euery people, and to euery prouince, according to the writing thereof, and to euery people according to their language: in the name of King Ahashuerosh was it written, and sealed with the Kings ring.
13 Gihatod ang mga sulat pinaagi sa mga tigdala ug sulat ngadto sa tanang mga probinsya sa hari, aron pagpuo, pagpatay, ug paglaglag sa tanang mga Judio, gikan sa batan-on hangtod sa hamtong, mga bata ug mga babaye, sulod sa usa ka adlaw—sa ikanapulo ug tulo ka adlaw sa ikanapulo ug duha ka bulan (nga bulan sa Adar) —ug aron pagkuha sa ilang mga gipanag-iyahan.
And the letters were sent by postes into all the Kings prouinces, to roote out, to kill and to destroy all the Iewes, both yong and olde, children and women, in one day vpon the thirteenth day of the twelft moneth, (which is the moneth Adar) and to spoyle them as a pray.
14 Ang kopya sa maong sulat gihimo nga balaod sa matag probinsya. Nasayran sa tanang katawhan sa matag probinsya nga kinahanglan mangandam sila alang niini nga adlaw.
The contents of the writing was, that there shoulde be giuen a commandement in all prouinces, and published vnto all people, that they should be ready against the same day.
15 Miadto ug nagdalidali sa pagpang-apod-apod ang mga tigdala ug sulat sa mando sa hari. Ang sugo giapod-apod usab sa salipdanan sa Susa. Nag-inom ang hari ug si Haman, apan ang siyudad sa Susa anaa sa hilabihan nga kaguliyang.
And the postes compelled by the Kings commandement went forth, and the commandement was giuen in the palace at Shushan: and the King and Haman sate drinking, but the citie of Shushan was in perplexitie.
