Deuteronomio 28

1 Kung maminaw ka pag-ayo sa tingog ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios ug sa pagbantay sa tanan niyang mga sugo nga akong gisugo kanimo karong adlawa, ipataas ka ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios labaw sa tanang kanasoran sa kalibotan.

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all His commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all the nations of the earth.

2 Kining tanan nga mga panalangin moabot ug modangat kanimo, kung paminawon nimo ang tingog ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios.

And all these blessings shall come upon thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

3 Mabulahan ka dinhi sa siyudad, ug panalanginan ka diha sa kaumahan.

Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4 Mabulahan ang bunga sa imong lawas, ug ang bunga sa imong yuta, ug ang bunga sa imong mga kahayopan, ang pagdaghan sa imong mga baka, ug sa mga nati sa imong panon sa mga karnero.

Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the young of thy flock.

5 Mabulahan ang imong bukag ug ang imong dolang nga masahan.

Blessed shall be thy basket and thy kneading-trough.

6 Mabulahan ka sa imong pagsulod, ug mabulahan ka usab sa imong paggawas.

Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

7 Laglagon ni Yahweh ang imong mga kaaway nga makigbatok kanimo diha sa imong atubangan; makig-away sila batok kanimo sa usa ka dalan apan mokalagiw sila gikan kanimo sa pito ka dalan.

The LORD will cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thee; they shall come out against thee one way, and shall flee before thee seven ways.

8 Mandoan ni Yahweh ang panalangin nga moabot diha sa imong mga kamalig ug sa tanan nga ibutang mo sa imong kamot; magapanalangin siya kanimo diha sa yuta nga gihatag niya kanimo.

The LORD will command the blessing with thee in thy barns, and in all that thou puttest thy hand unto; and He will bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

9 Kung ilingiw sa tawo ang iyang dalunggan aron dili makapaminaw sa balaod, mahimong kasilagan bisan gani ang iyang pag-ampo.

The LORD will establish thee for a holy people unto Himself, as He hath sworn unto thee; if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in His ways.

10 Kung kinsa man ang modala sa mga matarong ngadto sa kadaotan, maunay ug kahulog sa iyang kaugalingon nga bung-aw, apan ang mga dili sad-an makaangkon gayod ug maayo nga panulondon.

And all the peoples of the earth shall see that the name of the LORD is called upon thee; and they shall be afraid of thee.

11 Pauswagon pag-ayo ni Yahweh ang bunga sa imong lawas, ang bunga sa imong baka, ang bunga sa imong yuta, diha sa yuta nga iyang gipanumpa sa imong mga amahan nga ihatag kanimo.

And the LORD will make thee over-abundant for good, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, in the land which the LORD swore unto thy fathers to give thee.

12 Pagaablihan ni Yahweh alang kanimo ang kaban sa kalangitan aron sa pagpaulan sa imong yuta sa tukmang panahon, ug sa pagpanalanginan sa tanang buhat sa imong kamot; magpahulam ka sa daghang kanasoran, apan dili ka manghulam kanila.

The LORD will open unto thee His good treasure the heaven to give the rain of thy land in its season, and to bless all the work of thy hand; and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow.

13 Pagahimoon ka ni Yahweh nga ulo ug dili ang ikog; maibabaw ka lamang ug dili gayod mailalom, kung patalinghogan mo ang sugo ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios nga akong gisugo kanimo karong adlawa, ingon man sa pagbantay ug sa pagbuhat niini,

And the LORD will make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if thou shalt hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them;

14 ug kung dili ka motipas sa bisan unsang mga pulong nga akong gisugo kanimo karong adlawa, ngadto sa tuong kamot o sa wala, bisan ang pag-alagad sa laing mga dios.

and shalt not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

15 Apan kung dili ka maminaw sa tingog ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios, bisan ang pagtuman sa tanan niyang mga sugo ug sa iyang mga balaod nga akong gisugo kanimo karong adlawa, nan kining tanan nga tunglo moabot ug modangat kanimo.

But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee.

16 Matinunglo ka diha sa siyudad ug matinunglo ka didto sa kaumahan.

Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

17 Matinunglo ang imong bukag ug ang imong dolang nga masahan.

Cursed shall be thy basket and thy kneading-trough.

18 Matinunglo ang bunga sa imong lawas, ang bunga sa imong yuta, ang pagpanaghan sa imong mga baka, ug sa mga nating panon sa imong mga karnero.

Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the young of thy flock.

19 Matinunglo ang imong pagsulod, ug matinunglo usab sa imong paggawas.

Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

20 Ipahamtang ni Yahweh kanimo ang mga tunglo, ang mga kalibog, ug ang mga kapakyasan sa tanan nga pagabuhaton sa imong kamot, hangtod nga malaglag ka, ug hangtod nga mawala ka sa makadiyot tungod sa imong mga daotang binuhatan nga tungod niana gibiyaan mo ako.

The LORD will send upon thee cursing, discomfiture, and rebuke, in all that thou puttest thy hand unto to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the evil of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken Me.

21 Pagahimoon ni Yahweh nga magpabilin kanimo ang mga kasakit hangtod nga malaglag ka gikan sa yuta nga inyong pagaadtoan aron panag-iyahon.

The LORD will make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until He have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest in to possess it.

22 Patakboyan ka ni Yahweh sa makatakod nga mga sakit, sa mga hilanat, sa mga hubag, ug sa hulaw ug sa hilabihan nga kainit, ug sa makapaso nga hangin ug sa mga agup-op sa mga tanom. Magagukod kini kanimo hangtod nga malaglag ka.

The LORD will smite thee with consumption, and with fever, and with inflammation, and with fiery heat, and with drought, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.

23 Ang kawanangan nga anaa sa ibabaw sa imong ulo mahimong tumbaga ug ang yuta nga anaa sa imong ilalom mahimong puthaw.

And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.

24 Pagahimoon ni Yahweh nga abog ug abo ang ulan sa imong yuta; moulan kini gikan sa langit hangtod nga malaglag ka.

The LORD will make the rain of thy land powder and dust; from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

25 Pagatugotan ni Yahweh nga malaglag ka atubangan sa imong mga kaaway; makigbatok ka kanila sa usa ka dalan apan mokalagiw ka agi sa pito ka dalan sa ilang atubangan. Mahimo kang ilabay ngadto-nganhi taliwala sa tanang gingharian sa kalibotan.

The LORD will cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies; thou shalt go out one way against them, and shalt flee seven ways before them; and thou shalt be a horror unto all the kingdoms of the earth.

26 Ang imong patay nga lawas maoy pagkaon sa tanang langgam sa kalangitan ug sa tanang mananap sa yuta; walay si bisan kinsa ang makaabog kanila.

And thy carcasses shall be food unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and there shall be none to frighten them away.

27 Ipahamtang ni Yahweh kanimo ang mga sakit sa Ehipto ug ang mga hubag, ang mga nuka, ug ang mga katolkatol, nga dili ka gayod mamaayo gikan niini.

The LORD will smite thee with the boil of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.

28 Ipahamtang ni Yahweh kanimo ang pagkabuang, ang pagkabuta ug ang pagkalibog sa hunahuna.

The LORD will smite thee with madness, and with blindness, and with astonishment of heart.

29 Mangapkap ka sa kaudtohon sama sa buta nga magpangapkap diha sa kangitngit, ug dili ka magmauswagon sa imong mga dalan; daogdaogon ka ug tulison sa kanunay, ug walay usa nga moluwas kanimo.

And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not make thy ways prosperous; and thou shalt be only oppressed and robbed alway, and there shall be none to save thee.

30 Magapangasawa ka sa usa ka dalaga, apan ang laing lalaki ang mokuha kaniya ug molugos kaniya. Magatukod ka ug balay apan dili ka makapuyo niini; magtanom ka ug kaparasan apan dili ka makapahimulos sa bunga niini.

Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her; thou shalt build a house, and thou shalt not dwell therein; thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not use the fruit thereof.

31 Pagaihawon ang imong baka diha sa imong atubangan, apan dili ka makakaon sa unod niini, pagailogon ang imong asno gikan sa imong atubangan ug dili na kini iuli kanimo. Ihatag ngadto sa imong mga kaaway ang imong mga karnero, ug walay bisan usa ang makatabang kanimo.

Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof; thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee; thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies; and thou shalt have none to save thee.

32 Itugyan sa ubang katawhan ang imong mga anak nga lalaki ug mga anak nga babaye; ang imong mga mata magtan-aw lamang kanila sa tibuok adlaw, apan mapakyas ka lamang uban ang paghandom kanila. Wala na gayoy kusog diha sa imong kamot.

Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day; and there shall be nought in the power of thy hand.

33 Ang abot sa imong yuta ug ang tanan nimong kahago - kaonon sa usa ka nasod nga wala mo mailhi; kanunay kang daogdaogon ug mahugno,

The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed away:

34 sa ingon niana mabuang ka tungod sa makita mo nga mahitabo.

so that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

35 Ipahamtang ni Yahweh kanimo ang makalilisang nga kabahong diha sa mga tuhod ug sa mga tiil nga dili ka na mamaayo pa, gikan sa imong lapalapa hangtod sa imong alimpulo.

The LORD will smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore boil, whereof thou canst not be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the crown of thy head.

36 Itugyan ka ni Yahweh ug ang hari nga imong ibutang nga labaw sa imong kaugalingon ngadto sa usa ka nasod nga wala mo mailhi, ikaw ni ang imong mga katigulangan; ug didto magsimba kamo sa lain nga mga dios sa kahoy ug sa bato.

The LORD will bring thee, and thy king whom thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation that thou hast not known, thou nor thy fathers; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.

37 Mahimo kang tinubdan sa kalisang, sa pagtumotumo, ug sa mga paglibak taliwala sa tanang katawhan nga gidad-an kanimo ni Yahweh.

And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all the peoples whither the LORD shall lead thee away.

38 Magpugas ka sa daghang mga binhi sa kaumahan, apan makatigom ka ug diyutay lamang nga mga binhi, kay ang mga dulon ang magaut-ot niini.

Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather little in; for the locust shall consume it.

39 Magtanom ka sa kaparasan ug mag-ugmad niini, apan dili ka makainom sa bisan unsang bino, ni makatigom sa mga ubas, kay pagakaonon man sila sa mga ulod.

Thou shalt plant vineyards and dress them, but thou shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worm shall eat them.

40 Makabaton ka sa mga kahoy nga olibo diha sa tanan mong mga utlanan, apan dili ka makahaplas sa lana niini sa imong kaugalingon, kay mangatagak man ang bunga sa kahoy nga olibo.

Thou shalt have olive-trees throughout all thy borders, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olives shall drop off.

41 Makabaton ka ug mga anak nga lalaki ug mga anak nga babaye, apan dili sila magpabiling maimo kay mangabihag sila.

Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but they shall not be thine; for they shall go into captivity.

42 Ang tanan mong kakahoyan ug ang bunga sa imong yuta panag-iyahon sa mga dulon.

All thy trees and the fruit of thy land shall the locust possess.

43 Ang mga dumuduong nga anaa sa imong taliwala mas mouswag pa; ikaw mag-anam ug kaus-os.

The stranger that is in the midst of thee shall mount up above thee higher and higher; and thou shalt come down lower and lower.

44 Magpahulam siya kanimo, apan dili ka makapahulam kaniya, mahimo siya nga ulo, ug ikaw mahimong ikog.

He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him; he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.

45 Kining tanan nga mga tunglo moabot kanimo, molutos kanimo ug modangat kanimo hangtod nga malaglag ka. Mahitabo kini tungod kay wala ka man magpatalinghog sa tingog ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios, ingon man ang pagbantay sa iyang mga sugo ug sa iyang mga balaod nga gisugo niya kanimo.

And all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou didst not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded thee.

46 Kini nga mga tunglo moabot kanimo ingon nga mga ilhanan ug mga katingalahan, ug sa imong mga kaliwatan sa hangtod sa kahangtoran.

And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever;

47 Tungod kay wala mo man simbaha si Yahweh nga inyong Dios uban sa kasadya ug kalipay sa kasingkasing sa dihang anaa pa kamo sa kaharuhay,

because thou didst not serve the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things;

48 busa mag-alagad ka sa mga kaaway nga ipadala ni Yahweh batok kanimo; mag-alagad ka kanila diha sa kagutom, sa kauhaw, sa kahubo, ug diha sa kakabos. Ibutang niya ang usa ka yugo nga puthaw diha sa imong liog hangtod nga malaglag ka.

therefore shalt thou serve thine enemy whom the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things; and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

49 Magpadala si Yahweh batok kanimo ug usa ka nasod nga gikan sa halayo, gikan sa kinatumyan sa kalibotan, sama sa paglupad sa usa ka agila sa iyang biktima, usa ka nasod nga dili mo masabtan ang pinulongan;

The LORD will bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as the vulture swoopeth down; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;

50 usa ka nasod nga adunay mapintas nga panagway nga walay pagtahod sa mga tigulang ug dili usab magmaluloy-on sa mga batan-on.

a nation of fierce countenance, that shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favour to the young.

51 Kaonon nila ang imong mga nating baka ug ang bunga sa imong yuta hangtod nga malaglag ka. Dili ka nila pagabinlan ug trigo, bag-ong bino, o lana, walay mga nati diha sa imong mga baka o sa panon sa imong mga karnero, hangtod nga mahanaw ka.

And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy ground, until thou be destroyed; that also shall not leave thee corn, wine, or oil, the increase of thy kine, or the young of thy flock, until he have caused thee to perish.

52 Mag-alirong sila kanimo sa tanang ganghaan sa imong siyudad, hangtod nga magun-ob sa bisan asang dapit sa imong yuta ang hataas ug lig-on mong kuta nga imong gisaligan. Mag-alirong sila kanimo sulod sa tanang ganghaan sa imong siyudad sa tibuok kayutaan nga gihatag kanimo ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios.

And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fortified walls come down, wherein thou didst trust, throughout all thy land; and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.

53 Mokaon ka sa bunga sa imong kaugalingong lawas, sa unod sa imong mga anak nga lalaki ug sa mga anak nga babaye nga gihatag kanimo ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios, sa pag-alirong ug sa kagul-anan nga gipahamtang sa imong mga kaaway kanimo.

And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters whom the LORD thy God hath given thee; in the siege and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall straiten thee.

54 Ang lalaki nga malumo ug mahuyang kaayo diha kaninyo - masina sa iyang igsoong lalaki ug sa iyang minahal nga asawa, ug sa mga anak nga mahibilin kaniya.

The man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil against his brother, and against the wife of his bosom, and against the remnant of his children whom he hath remaining;

55 Busa dili siya manghatag kang bisan kinsa kanila sa unod sa iyang kaugalingong mga anak nga kaonon niya, tungod kay wala nay mahibilin alang sa iyang kaugalingon sa panahon sa pag-alirong ug sa kagul-anan nga ipahamtang kanimo sa imong kaaway sa tanang ganghaan sa imong siyudad

so that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat, because he hath nothing left him; in the siege and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall straiten thee in all thy gates.

56 Ang malumo ug mahuyang kaayo nga babaye diha kaninyo, nga dili gayod magtiniil sa yuta tungod sa pagkalumo ug pagkaluya - masina sa iyang minahal nga bana, sa iyang anak nga lalaki, ug sa iyang anak nga babaye,

The tender and delicate woman among you, who would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil against the husband of her bosom, and against her son, and against her daughter;

57 ug sa iyang bag-o pang nahimugso nga anak nga migawas taliwala sa iyang mga tiil, ug alang sa mga bata nga ipahimugso pa niya. Kaonon niya kini sa tago tungod sa pagkakulang sa bisan unsang butang, sa panahon sa paglikos ug sa kagul-anan nga ipahamtang kanimo sa imong kaaway diha sulod sa mga ganghaan sa imong siyudad.

and against her afterbirth that cometh out from between her feet, and against her children whom she shall bear; for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly; in the siege and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall straiten thee in thy gates.

58 Kung dili mo matngonan ang tanang pulong niini nga balaod nga nahisulat niini nga basahon, sa pagpasidungog niining mahimayaon ug makalilisang nga ngalan, si Yahweh nga inyong Dios,

If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and awful Name, the LORD thy God;

59 nan pagahimoon ni Yahweh kanimo nga makalilisang ang imong mga hampak, ug sa imong mga kaliwatan; may dakong kamatay ug mangil-ad nga mga sakit sa hataas nga panahon.

then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.

60 Ipahamtang niya kanimo pag-usab ang tanang sakit sa Ehipto nga imong gikahadlokan; motakboy sila kanimo.

And He will bring back upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast in dread of; and they shall cleave unto thee.

61 Ug maingon man usab ang matag sakit ug kamatay nga wala nahisulat sa basahon niini nga balaod, ipahamtang ni Yahweh hangtod nga malaglag ka.

Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

62 Magkagamay ang imong gidaghanon, bisan tuod nga kaniadto ang imong gidaghanon sama sa mga kabituonan sa kalangitan, tungod kay wala mo man patalinghogi ang tingog ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios.

And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou didst not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

63 Ingon nga nagmaya sa makausa si Yahweh kanimo sa pagbuhat ug kaayohan, ug sa pagpadaghan kanimo, mao usab ang iyang pagmaya sa pagpukan ug sa paglaglag kanimo. Lukaton ka sa yuta nga imong adtoan aron panag-iyahon.

And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to cause you to perish, and to destroy you; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest in to possess it.

64 Ipatibulaag ka ni Yahweh taliwala sa tibuok katawhan gikan sa pikas tumoy sa yuta ngadto sa laing tumoy sa yuta; ug didto magasimba ka sa laing mga dios nga wala mo mailhi, ikaw bisan ang imong mga katigulangan, mga dios sa kahoy ug sa bato.

And the LORD shall scatter thee among all peoples, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou nor thy fathers, even wood and stone.

65 Taliwala niining kanasoran dili ka makakaplag ug kaharuhay, ug walay kapahulayan alang sa mga lapalapa sa imong tiil; kondili, si Yahweh maghatag kanimo didto ug kasingkasing nga mahinadlokon, luya nga mga mata, ug kalag nga magbangotan.

And among these nations shalt thou have no repose, and there shall be no rest for the sole of thy foot; but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and languishing of soul.

66 Magduhaduha ka sa imong kinabuhi; mahadlok ka matag gabii ug matag adlaw ug wala gayoy kasigurohan sa tibuok mong kinabuhi.

And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear night and day, and shalt have no assurance of thy life.

67 Sa kabuntagon magasulti ka, 'Maayo unta nga magabii na!' ug sa kagabhion magasulti ka, 'Maayo unta nga mabuntag na!' tungod sa kahadlok sa imong kasingkasing ug sa mga butang nga makita sa imong mga mata.

In the morning thou shalt say: 'Would it were even!' and at even thou shalt say: 'Would it were morning!' for the fear of thy heart which thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

68 Dad-on ka pag-usab ni Yahweh didto sa Ehipto sakay sa usa ka sakayan, pinaagi sa dalan nga gisulti ko kanimo, “Dili mo na gayod makita pag-usab ang Ehipto.' Ug didto ibaligya ninyo ang inyong kaugalingon ngadto sa inyong mga kaaway ingon nga lalaki ug babayeng ulipon, apan walay bisan usa ang mopalit kaninyo.”

And the LORD shall bring thee back into Egypt in ships, by the way whereof I said unto thee: 'Thou shalt see it no more again'; and there ye shall sell yourselves unto your enemies for bondmen and for bondwoman, and no man shall buy you.
