Deuteronomio 13

1 Kung adunay motungha taliwala kaninyo nga propeta o magdadamgo, ug kung mohatag siya kaninyo ug ilhanan o kahibulongan,

If there arise amog you a prophet or a dreamer of dreames, (and giue thee a signe or wonder,

2 ug kung ang ilhanan ug kahibulongan mahitabo, nga iyang gisulti kaninyo nga nag-ingon, 'Moadto kita sa laing mga dios, nga wala ninyo mailhi, ug simbahon nato sila,'

And the signe and the wonder, which hee hath tolde thee, come to passe) saying, Let vs go after other gods, which thou hast not knowen, and let vs serue them,

3 ayaw paminawa ang mga pulong niana nga propeta, o niana nga magdadamgo; tungod kay si Yahweh nga inyong Dios nagsulay kaninyo aron masayran kung nahigugma ba gayod kamo kang Yahweh nga inyong Dios sa tibuok ninyong kasingkasing ug sa tibuok ninyong kalag.

Thou shalt not hearken vnto the wordes of the prophet, or vnto that dreamer of dreames: for the Lord your God prooueth you, to knowe whether ye loue the Lord your God with al your heart, and with all your soule.

4 Magalakaw kamo sunod kang Yahweh nga inyong Dios, tahora siya, tipigi ang iyang kasugoan, ug tumana ang iyang tingog, ug simbaha siya ug kupot ngadto kaniya.

Yee shall walke after the Lord your God and feare him, and shall keepe his commandements, and hearken vnto his voyce, and yee shall serue him, and cleaue vnto him.

5 Kana nga propeta o magdadamgo pagapatyon, tungod kay nagsulti siya nga masinupakon batok kang Yahweh nga inyong Dios, nga nagpagawas kaninyo gikan sa yuta sa Ehipto, ug naglukat kaninyo pagawas gikan sa panimalay nga nagbihag. Buot niana nga propeta nga ipalayo kamo sa dalan nga buot palakwan ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios. Busa wagtanga ang daotan gikan kaninyo.

But that prophet, or that dreamer of dreames, he shall be slaine, because hee hath spoken to turne you away from the Lord your God (which brought you out of the lande of Egypt, and deliuered you out of the house of bodage) to thrust thee out of the way, wherein the Lord thy God commanded thee to walke: so shalt thou take the euill away foorth of the middes of thee.

6 Pananglitan ang imong igsoon, ang anak nga lalaki sa imong inahan, o imong anak nga lalaki, o imong anak nga babaye, o ang asawa sa imong dughan, o imong higala nga sama sa imong kaugalingong kalag, magdani kanimo sa tago nga moingon, 'Mangadto kita ug mosimba sa ubang dios nga wala pa nimo mailhi, ni ikaw o ang imong mga katigulangan—

If thy brother, the sonne of thy mother, or thine owne sonne, or thy daughter, or the wife, that lyeth in thy bosome, or thy friend, which is as thine owne soule, intice thee secretly, saying, Let vs goe and serue other gods, (which thou hast not knowen, thou, I say, nor thy fathers)

7 bisag unsa sa mga dios sa katawhan nga nagpalibot kanimo, duol kanimo, o layo gikan kanimo, gikan sa pikas nga kinatumyan sa kalibotan ngadto sa lahi nga kinatumyan sa kalibotan.'

Any of the gods of the people which are round about you, neere vnto thee or farre off from thee, from the one ende of the earth vnto ye other:

8 Ayaw pakig-uyon o paminaw kaniya. Ni ang imong mata maluoy kaniya, ni mopalingkawas o tagoan siya.

Thou shalt not cosent vnto him, nor heare him, neither shall thine eye pitie him, nor shewe mercie, nor keepe him secret:

9 Hinuon, kinahanglan patyon mo siya; ang imong kamot maoy mangunag dala kaniya ngadto sa kamatayon, ug pagkahuman ang kamot sa tanang katawhan.

But thou shalt euen kill him: thine hand shall be first vpon him to put him to death, and then the handes of all the people.

10 Batohon mo siya hangtod sa iyang kamatayon, tungod kay misulay siya sa pagpahilayo kanimo gikan kang Yahweh nga imong Dios, nga nagpagawas kaninyo sa yuta sa Ehipto, pagawas gikan sa panimalay nga nagbihag.

And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he dye (because he hath gone about to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of ye land of Egypt, from ye house of bondage)

11 Ang tanang Israelita makadungog ug mahadlok, ug dili na magpadayon sa pagbuhat niining matang sa pagkadaotan taliwala kaninyo.

That all Israel may heare and feare, and doe no more any such wickednesse as this among you.

12 Kung makadungog kamo ni bisan kinsa nga magsulti mahitungod sa usa sa inyong mga siyudad, nga gihatag ni Yahweh kaninyo nga inyong Dios aron puy-an:

If thou shalt heare say (concerning any of thy cities which the Lord thy God hath giuen thee to dwell in)

13 Ang pipila ka mga daotan mogula gikan kaninyo ug mopatipas sa mga lumulopyo sa ilang siyudad ug moingon, 'Mangadto kita ug mosimba sa ubang dios nga wala ninyo mailhi.'

Wicked men are gone out from among you, and haue drawen away the inhabitants of their citie, saying, Let vs go and serue other gods, which ye haue not knowen,

14 Kinahanglan susihon ninyo ang pamatuod, pangutana, ug susiha gayod kini. Sa dihang masayran ninyo nga kini tinuod ug matuod gayod nga ang maong gikasilagang butang nahitabo taliwala kaninyo, busa paghimo kamo ug lakang.

Then thou shalt seeke, and make searche and enquire diligently: and if it be true, and the thing certaine, that such abomination is wrought among you,

15 Kinahanglan gayod nga inyong hasmagan ang mga lumolupyo niana nga siyudad pinaagi sa espada, laglaga kini sa hingpit ug ang tanang tawo nga anaa niini, uban ang mananap, sa tumoy sa espada.

Thou shalt euen slay the inhabitants of that citie with the edge of the sworde: destroy it vtterly, and all that is therein, and the cattel thereof with the edge of the sworde.

16 Tigomon ninyo ang tanang inilog gikan niini ngadto sa tungatunga sa dalan ug sunogon ang siyudad, ingon usab ang tanang inilog— alang kang Yahweh nga inyong Dios. Ang siyudad mahimong tipun-og sa pagkaguba hangtod sa hangtod; dili na kini angay nga tukoron pag-usab.

And thou shalt gather all the spoyle of it into the middes of the streete thereof, and burne with fire the citie and all the spoyle thereof euery whit, vnto the Lord thy God: and it shall be an heape for euer: it shall not be built againe.

17 Kinahanglan nga wala niadtong mga butanga nga nakatagana alang sa kalaglagan ang motapot sa inyong kamot. Mao kini ang hinungdan, aron ipalayo ni Yahweh ang kaligutgot sa iyang kasuko, magpakita kaninyo ug kaluoy, magmahigugmaon diha kaninyo, ug mopadaghan kaninyo, sama sa iyang gisaad ngadto sa inyong mga katigulangan.

And there shall cleaue nothing of ye damned thing to thine hand, that the Lord may turne from the fiercenes of his wrath, and shewe thee mercie, and haue compassion on thee and multiplie thee, as he hath sworne vnto thy fathers:

18 Buhaton niya kini tungod kay naminaw man kamo sa tingog ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios, nga nagtipig sa tanan niyang kasugoan nga akong gisugo kaninyo karong adlawa, nagbuhat kung unsa ang maayo sa panan-aw ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios.

When thou shalt obey the voyce of the Lord thy God, and keepe all his commandements which I command thee this day, that thou do that which is right in the eyes of the Lord thy God.
