Amos 1
1 Mao kini ang mga butang mahitungod sa Israel nga nadawat ni Amos, nga usa sa mga magbalantay sa karnero sa Tekoa, diha sa panan-awon. Nadawat niya kining mga panan-awon sa mga adlaw ni Uzia nga hari sa Juda, ug sa mga adlaw ni Jeroboam nga anak nga lalaki ni Joas nga hari sa Israel, duha ka tuig sa wala pa ang linog.
The wordes of Amos, who was among the heardmen at Tecoa, which he sawe vpon Israel, in the dayes of Vzziah king of Iudah, and in the dayes of Ieroboam the sonne of Ioash King of Israel, two yeere before the earthquake.
2 Miingon siya, “Modahunog ang tingog ni Yahweh gikan sa Zion; mosinggit siya gikan sa Jerusalem. Mauga ang mga pasibsibanan sa mga magbalantay ug karnero, ug mangalaya ang mga sagbot sa tumoy sa Carmel.”
And he saide, The Lord shall roare from Zion, and vtter his voyce from Ierusalem, and the dwelling places of the shepheards shall perish, and the top of Carmel shall wither,
3 Mao kini ang giingon ni Yahweh: “Pagasilotan ko ang Damascus, sa tulo, bisan sa upat ka mga sala niini, tungod sa pagpasipala nila sa Gilead pinaagi sa mga hinagiban nga puthaw.
Thus saith the Lord, For three transgressions of Damascus, and for foure I will not turne to it, because they haue threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of yron.
4 Magpadala ako ug kalayo sa balay ni Hazael, ug lamuyon niini ang mga kota ni Ben Hadad.
Therefore will I sende a fire into the house of Hazael, and it shall deuoure the palaces of Ben-hadad.
5 Gun-obon ko ang mga babag sa ganghaan sa Damascus ug patyon ang tawo nga nagpuyo sa Biqat Aven, ug ang tawo usab nga nagkupot sa sitro sa Bet Eden. Pagabihagon ngadto sa Kir ang katawhan sa Aram,” miingon si Yahweh.
I will breake also the barres of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant of Bikeath-auen: and him that holdeth the scepter out of Beth-eden, and the people of Aram shall goe into captiuitie vnto Kir, sayth the Lord.
6 Mao kini ang giingon ni Yahweh: “Pagasilotan ko ang Gaza, sa tulo, bisan sa upat ka mga sala niini, tungod kay gibihag nila ang tibuok katawhan, aron itugyan ngadto sa Edom.
Thus sayth the Lord, For three transgressions of Azzah, and for foure, I will not turne to it, because they caried away prisoners the whole captiuitie to shut them vp in Edom.
7 Magpadala ako ug kalayo ngadto sa mga paril sa Gaza, ug pagalamuyon niini ang iyang mga kota.
Therefore will I sende a fire vpon the walles of Azzah, and it shall deuoure the palaces thereof.
8 Patyon ko ang tawo nga nagpuyo sa Ashdod, ug ang tawo nga nagkupot ug sitro gikan sa Ashkelon. Bakyawon ko ang akong kamot batok sa Ekron, ug mangamatay ang nahibilin nga mga Filistihanon,” miingon si Yahweh nga Ginoo.
And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the scepter from Ashkelon, and turne mine hande to Ekron, and the remnant of the Philistims shall perish, sayth the Lord God.
9 Mao kini ang giingon ni Yahweh; ''Pagasilotan ko ang Tyre, sa tulo, o bisan sa upat ka mga sala niini, tungod sa pagtugyan nila sa tibuok katawhan ngadto sa Edom, ug gisupak nila ang kasabotan sa pagnag-igsoonay.
Thus sayth the Lord, For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for foure, I will not turne to it, because they shut the whole captiuitie in Edom, and haue not remembred the brotherly couenant.
10 Magpadala ako ug kalayo sa mga paril sa Tyre, ug pagalamuyon niini ang iyang mga kota.”
Therefore wil I send a fire vpon ye walles of Tyrus, and it shall deuoure the palaces thereof.
11 Mao kini ang giingon ni Yahweh, ''Pagasilotan ko ang Edom, sa tulo, o bisan sa upat ka mga sala niini, tungod kay gigukod niya ug espada ang iyang igsoon ug wala niya kini gikaloy-an. Nagpadayon ang iyang kasuko, ug milungtad hangtod sa kahangtoran ang iyang kaligutgot.
Thus sayeth the Lord, For three transgressions of Edom, and for foure, I will not turne to it, because hee did pursue his brother with the sworde, and did cast off all pitie, and his anger spoyled him euermore, and his wrath watched him alway.
12 Magpadala ako ug kalayo sa Teman, ug pagalamuyon niini ang mga palasyo sa Bozra.”
Therefore will I send a fire vpon Teman, and it shall deuoure the palaces of Bozrah.
13 Mao kini ang giingon ni Yahweh, ''Pagasilotan ko ang Amon, sa tulo, o bisan sa upat ka mga sala niini, tungod kay gilaslas nila ang tiyan sa mga babayeng mabdos sa Gilead, aron makapalapad sila sa ilang mga utlanan.
Thus sayth ye Lord, For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for foure, I will not turne to it, because they haue ript vp the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border.
14 Pagasunogon ko ang mga paril sa Raba, ug pagalamuyon niini ang mga palasyo, uban ang singgit sa adlaw sa pagpakiggubat, uban ang makusog nga hangin sa adlaw sa alimpulos.
Therefore will I kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall deuoure the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battell, and with a tempest in the day of the whirlewinde.
15 Mabihag ang ilang hari, siya ug ang iyang mga opisyal,” miingon si Yahweh.
And their King shall go into captiuitie, he and his princes together, saith the Lord.
