Amos 6
1 Pagkaalaot niadtong nagpaharuhay sa Zion, ug kadtong luwas sa kabungtoran sa Samaria, nga inila nga mga tawo sa maayo nga mga nasod, kadtong anaa sa balay sa Israel nga mianha sa pagtabang!
Woe to them that are at ease in Zion and trust in the moutaine of Samaria, which were famous at the beginning of the nations: and the house of Israel came to them.
2 Ang inyong mga pangulo nag-ingon, “Adto sa Calne ug tan-awa; gikan didto paingon sa Hamat, ang bantogan nga siyudad; dayon lugsong ngadto sa Gat sa filistihanon. Mas maayo ba sila kay sa imong duha ka gingharian? mas dako ba ang ilang utlanan kaysa imong utlanan?”
Goe you vnto Calneh, and see: and from thence goe you to Hamath the great: then goe downe to Gath of the Philistims: be they better then these kingdomes? or the border of their land greater then your border,
3 Alaot kadtong nagbaliwala sa adlaw sa katalagman ug naghimo sa trono sa kasamok nga mahiduol.
Ye that put farre away the euill day, and approch to the seate of iniquitie?
4 Naghigda sila sa mga mahalon nga higdaanan ug naghigda sila sa humok nga lingkoranan. Nagkaon sila sa karne sa mga nating karnero gikan sa ilang mga kahayopan ug sa mga baka nga gikan sa pasungan.
They lie vpon beddes of yuorie, and stretch themselues vpon their beddes, and eate the lambes of the flocke, and the calues out of the stall.
5 Nag-awit sila ug mga awit nga walay pulos inubanan sa tugtog sa alpa; gihimo nila ang mga tulonggon sama sa gibuhat ni David.
They sing to the sounde of the viole: they inuent to themselues instruments of musike like Dauid.
6 Nag-inom sila ug ilimnom gikan sa mga panaksan ug gidihogan nila ang ilang mga kaugalingon sa mga maayong lana, apan wala sila magbangotan sa pagkalaglag ni Jose.
They drinke wine in bowles, and anoynt themselues with the chiefe ointments, but no man is sory for the affliction of Ioseph.
7 Busa karon bihagon sila uban sa mga unang binihag na ug ang pista niadtong nagpahigayon mangahanaw lamang.
Therefore nowe shall they go captiue with the first that go captiue, and the sorow of them that stretched themselues, is at hand.
8 Ako ang Ginoo nga si Yahweh, nanumpa pinaagi sa akong kaugalingon— mao kini ang gipahayag sa Ginoo nga si Yahweh, ang Dios nga makagagahom, gidumtan ko ang garbo ni Jacob; gikasilagan ko ang iyang mga salipdanan. Busa itugyan ko ang siyudad ug ang tanan nga anaa niini.”
The Lord God hath sworne by himselfe, saith the Lord God of hostes, I abhorre the excellencie of Iaakob, and hate his palaces: therefore wil I deliuer vp the citie with all that is therein.
9 Kung mahitabo kini nga adunay napulo ka mga tawo nga mahibilin sa usa ka balay, mamatay silang tanan.
And if there remaine ten men in one house, they shall die.
10 Kung ang paryenti sa usa ka tawo moadto aron pagkuha sa ilang lawas—ang tawo nga mosunog kanila human mapagawas ang mga patay nga lawas sa balay—kung mosulti siya ngadto sa tawo sa balay, “Aduna ka bay kauban dinhi?” Unsa kaha kung ang tawo mosulti nga “Wala” Unya mosulti siya, “Paghilom, kay kinahanglan dili nato hisgutan ang ngalan ni Yahweh.”
And his vncle shall take him vp and burne him to cary out the bones out of the house, and shall say vnto him, that is by ye sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee? And he shall say, None. Then shall he say, Holde thy tongue: for we may not remember the Name of the Lord.
11 Kay, tan-awa, maghatag si Yahweh ug mando, ug madugmok ang dakong balay ngadto sa pagkapino, ug ang gamay nga balay.
For behold, the Lord commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the litle house with clefts.
12 Modagan ba ang mga kabayo diha sa batoon nga mga pangpang? Modaro ba ang tawo didto pinaagi sa mga baka? Apan gihimo ninyong hilo ang hustisya ug ang bunga sa pagkamatarong ngadto sa pagkapait.
Shal horses runne vpon the rocke? or wil one plowe there with oxen? for yee haue turned iudgement into gall, and the fruite of righteousnes into wormewood.
13 Kamo nga nagmaya sa Lo Debar, nga nag-ingon, “Wala ba namo nailog ang Karnaim pinaagi sa among kaugalingong kusog?”
Ye reioyce in a thing of nought: yee say, Haue not wee gotten vs hornes by our owne strength?
14 Apan tan-awa, magtuboy ako ug nasod nga makigbatok kaninyo, o balay sa Israel—mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh, ang Dios nga makagagahom. Sakiton nila kamo gikan sa Lebo Hamat ngadto sa sapa sa Arabia.”
But behold, I wil raise vp against you a nation, O house of Israel, sayeth the Lord God of hostes: and they shall afflict you, from the entring in of Hamath vnto the riuer of the wildernes.
