Amos 2
1 Mao kini ang gisulti ni Yahweh: “Sa tulo ka mga sala sa Moab, bisan gani sa ika-upat, dili ko gayod bakwion ang silot, tungod kay gisunog niya ang mga bukog sa hari sa Edom hangtod nga naabo kini.
Thus saith the Lord: For three crimes of Moab, and for four I will not convert him: because he hath burnt the bones of the king of Edom even to ashes.
2 Paulanan ko ug kalayo ang Moab, ug lamyon niini ang mga kuta sa Keriot. Mangamatay ang Moab diha sa kaguliyang, inubanan sa panagsinggit ug tingog sa trumpeta.
And I will seed a fire into Moab, and it shall devour the houses of Carioth: and Moab shall die with a noise, with the sound of the trumpet:
3 Laglagon ko ang iyang maghuhukom, ug pamatyon ko ang tanang prinsipe uban kaniya,” nag-ingon si Yahweh.
And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all his princes with him, saith the Lord.
4 Mao kini ang gisulti ni Yahweh: “Sa tulo ka mga sala sa Juda, bisan gani sa ika-upat, dili ko gayod bakwion ang silot, tungod kay gisalikway nila ang balaod ni Yahweh ug wala tumana ang iyang mga kasugoan. Ang ilang pagkabakakon maoy nakapasalaag kanila nga gisubay usab sa ilang mga amahan.
Thus saith the Lord: For three crimes of Juda, and for four I will not convert him: because he hath cast away the law of the Lord, and hath not kept his commandments: for their idols have caused them to err, after which their fathers have walked.
5 Paulanan ko ug kalayo ang Juda, ug lamyon niini ang mga kuta sa Jerusalem.”
And I will send a fire into Juda, and it shall devour the houses of Jerusalem.
6 Mao kini ang gisulti ni Yahweh, “Sa tulo ka mga sala sa Israel, bisan gani sa ika-upat, dili ko gayod bakwion ang silot, tungod kay gibaligya nila ang mga walay sala alang sa plata ug ang mga kabos sa usa ka pares sa sandalyas.
Thus saith the Lord: For three crimes of Israel, and for four I will not convert him: because he hath sold the just man for silver, and the poor man for a pair of shoes.
7 Gitunobtunoban nila ang mga ulo sa mga kabos sama sa mga tawo nga nagtunob sa abog diha sa yuta; gisalikway nila ang mga dinaogdaog. Ang usa ka lalaki ug ang iyang amahan nakighilawas sa usa ra ka babaye busa gipakaulawan ang akong balaang ngalan.
They bruise the heads of the poor upon the dust of the earth, and turn aside the way of the humble: and the son and his father have gone to the same young woman, to profane my holy name.
8 Nanghigda sila sa kilid sa matag halaran nga nagsul-ob sa mga bisti ingon nga mga garantiya, ug diha sa templo sa ilang Dios nanginom sila ug bino gikan niadtong nakamulta.
And they sat down upon garments laid to pledge by every altar: and drank the wine of the condemned in the house of their God.
9 Apan gilaglag ko ang mga Amorihanon sa ilang atubangan, diin ang ilang katas-on sama sa gitas-on sa kahoy nga sidro; kusgan siya sama sa kahoy nga tugas. Bisan pa man niana laglagon ko ang iyang mga bunga ug ang iyang mga gamot sa ilalom.
Yet I cast out the Amorrhite before their face: whose height was like the height of cedars, and who was strong as an oak: and I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots beneath.
10 Gipalingkawas ko usab kamo gikan sa yuta sa Ehipto ug gigiyahan kamo sulod sa 40 ka tuig didto sa kamingawan nga gipanag-iya sa mga Amorihanon.
It is I that brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and I led you forty years through the wilderness, that you might possess the land of the Amorrhite.
11 Nagpili ako ug mga propeta taliwala sa inyong mga anak nga lalaki ug mga Nazareno gikan sa inyong mga kabatan-onan. Dili ba mao man kini, O katawhan sa Israel? -mao kini ang pamahayag ni Yahweh.
And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not so, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord?
12 Apan gidani ninyo ang mga Nazareno nga moinom ug bino ug gimandoan ang mga propeta nga dili managna.
And you will present wine to the Nazarites: and command the prophets, saying: Prophesy not.
13 Tan-awa, dugmokon ko kamo sama sa karomata nga puno sa trigo nga modugmok sa usa ka tawo.
Behold, I will screak under you as a wain screaketh that is laden with hay.
14 Bisan pa ang tawong abtik dili gayod makaikyas; ang kusgan mawad-an gayod sa iyang kaugalingong kusog; bisan pa ang mga gamhanan dili gayod makaluwas sa iyang kaugalingon.
And flight shall perish from the swift, and the valiant shall not possess his strength, neither shall the strong save his life.
15 Dili gayod makasugakod ang tigpana; dili gayod makaikyas ang kusog modagan; ang tawong nangabayo dili gayod makaluwas sa iyang kaugalingon.
And he that holdeth the bow shall not stand, and the swift of foot shall not escape, neither shall the rider of the horse save his life.
16 Bisan pa ang labing isog nga mga manggugubat mangikyas nga hubo niadtong adlawa -mao kini ang pamahayag ni Yahweh.”
And the stout of heart among the valiant shall flee away naked in that day, saith the Lord.
