Mga Buhat 9
1 Apan si Saulo, nagpadayon sa pagsulti ug mga bahad bisan sa pagpatay batok sa mga disipulo sa Ginoo, miadto sa labaw sa mga pari
And Saul was still full of threats and deadly hatred against the disciples of our Lord.
2 ug nangayo kaniya ug mga sulat sa mga sinagoga sa Damasco, aron kung siya makakaplag bisan kinsa nga sakop sa Dalan, bisan lalaki o babaye, siya magdala kanila balik sa Jerusalem.
And he requested that a letter from the high priest might be given him unto Damascus to the synagogues; that if he should find persons pursuing this course, men or women, he might bind and bring them to Jerusalem.
3 Samtang siya naglakaw, kini nahitabo sa dihang siya duol na sa Damasco, sa kalit lang midan-ag sa iyang palibot ang kahayag nga gikan sa langit;
And as he was going, and began to approach Damascus, suddenly there was poured upon him a light from heaven.
4 ug siya natumba sa yuta ug nakadungog sa usa ka tingog nga nag-ingon ngadto kaniya, “Saulo, Saulo, nganong ginalutos mo ako?”
And he fell to the ground; and he heard a voice which said to him: Saul! Saul! why persecutest thou me? It will be hard for thee to kick against the goads.
5 Si Saulo mitubag, “Kinsa ka, Ginoo?” Ang Ginoo miingon, “Ako si Jesus nga imong ginalutos;
He replied, and said: Who art thou, my Lord? And our Lord said: I am Jesus the Nazarean, whom thou persecutest.
6 apan barog, sulod didto sa siyudad, ug pagasultihan ka kung unsa ang angay nimong buhaton.”
But arise and go into the city, and there it will be told thee what thou oughtest to do.
7 Ang mga tawo nga kauban ni Saulo sa paglakaw nagtindog nga wala makatingog, nakadungog sa tingog, apan walay nakita.
And the men who travelled with him in the way, stood amazed; for they heard merely the voice, and no one was visible to them.
8 Si Saulo mitindog gikan sa yuta, ug sa dihang gibuka niya ang iyang mga mata, wala na siyay makita; busa sila nag-agak kaniya nga ginunitan ang kamot ug gidala siya didto sa Damasco.
And Saul arose from the ground; and nothing was visible to him, with his eyes opened. And they took him by the hand, and led him into Damascus.
9 Sulod sa tulo ka adlaw siya dili makakita, ug siya wala mikaon ni miinom.
And he had no sight for three days; and he neither ate nor drank.
10 Karon adunay usa ka disipulo sa Damasco nga ginganlan ug Ananias; ug ang Ginoo nakigsulti kaniya sa usa ka panan-awon, “Ananias.” Ug siya miingon, “Tan-awa, ania ako dinhi, Ginoo.”
And there was in Damascus a certain disciple, whose name was Ananias. And the Lord said to him, in a vision: Ananias! And he said: Lo, I am here, my Lord.
11 Ang Ginoo miingon kaniya, “Tindog ug adto sa dalan nga ginatawag ug Tul-id, ug didto sa balay ni Judas pangutana sa usa ka gingalan ug Saulo, usa ka tawo nga gikan sa Tarso; kay siya nag-ampo; ug siya nakakita
And our Lord said to him: Arise, go to the street which is called Straight; and inquire in the house of Judas, for Saul who is from the city of Tarsus: for, lo, while he prayed,
12 ug usa ka panan-awon sa usa ka tawo nga ginganlan ug Ananias nga misulod ug mitapion sa iyang kamot ngadto kaniya, aron siya makadawat sa iyang panan-aw.”
he saw in vision a man named Ananias, who came and laid his hand upon him, that his eyes might be opened.
13 Apan si Ananias mitubag, “Ginoo, ako nakadungog gikan sa kadaghanan mahitungod niining tawhana, kung unsa ka dako ang pagpangdaot nga iyang gibuhat ngadto sa imong katawhan sa Jerusalem.
And Ananias said: My Lord, I have heard of this man, from many, how much evil he hath perpetrated towards thy saints at Jerusalem.
14 Siya adunay katungod gikan sa pangulong pari aron pangdakpon ang tanan dinhi nga motawag pinaagi sa imong ngalan.”
And, lo, here also, he hath authority from the chief priests, to bind all them that call on thy name.
15 Apan ang Ginoo miingon ngadto kaniya, “Lakaw, kay siya usa ka pinili nga galamiton alang kanako, nga magdala sa akong ngalan sa atubangan sa mga Gentil ug sa mga hari ug sa mga anak sa Israel;
The Lord said to him: Arise and go; for he is to me a chosen vessel, to carry my name to the Gentiles, and to kings, and among the sons of Israel.
16 kay akong ipakita kaniya unsa ka dako ang iyang pagaantuson tungod sa akong ngalan.”
For I will show him, how much he is to suffer on account of my name.
17 Busa si Ananias milakaw, ug misulod ngadto sa balay. Mitapion sa iyang kamot ngadto kaniya, siya miingon, “Igsoong Saulo, ang Ginoong Jesus, nga nagpakita kanimo sa dalan sa imong pagpadulong nganhi, gipadala ako aron ikaw makadawat sa imong panan-aw ug mapuno sa Balaang Espiritu.”
Then Ananias went to the house to him; and he laid his hand upon him, and said to him: Saul, my brother, our Lord Jesus, he who appeared to thee by the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thy eyes might be opened, and thou be filled with the Holy Spirit.
18 Dihadiha dayon usa ka butang sama sa himbis ang nangahulog gikan sa mata ni Saulo, ug siya nakadawat sa iyang panan-aw; siya mitindog ug nagpabawtismo;
And immediately there fell from his eyes something like a scab; and his eyes were opened. And he arose and was baptized.
19 ug siya mikaon ug nabaskog. Siya nagpabilin uban sa mga disipulo sa Damasco sulod sa pipila ka mga adlaw.
And he took food, and was invigorated. And he was some days with the disciples of Damascus.
20 Pagkahuman siya nagmantala kang Jesus didto sa mga sinagoga, nga nag-ingon nga siya ang Anak sa Dios.
And forthwith he announced Jesus, in the synagogues of the Jews, that he is the Son of God.
21 Ang tanan nga nakadungog kaniya nahibulong ug miingon, “Dili ba mao man kini nga tawo ang naglaglag niadtong anaa sa Jerusalem nga mosangpit niining ngalana? Ug siya mianhi dinhi aron pagdala kanila balik ngadto sa mga pangulong pari.”
And all they that heard him were amazed; and they said: Is not this he, who persecuted all them that call on this name in Jerusalem? And lo, for this very thing also, was he sent hither, that he might bind and carry them to the chief priests.
22 Apan si Saulo gigamhan sa pagsangyaw ug gilibog ang mga Judio nga nagpuyo sa Damasco pinaagi sa pagpamatuod nga si Jesus mao ang Cristo.
But Saul was the more strengthened; and he confounded those Jews who dwelt at Damascus, while be demonstrated that this is the Messiah.
23 Pagkahuman sa daghang mga adlaw, ang mga Judio naglaraw aron sa pagpatay kaniya.
And when he had been there many days, the Jews formed a conspiracy against him, to kill him.
24 Apan ang ilang mga laraw nasayran ni Saulo. Sila nagbantay sa mga ganghaan adlaw ug gabii aron sa pagpatay kaniya.
And the plot which they sought to execute upon him, was made known to Saul: and they watched the gates of the city by day and by night, in order to kill him.
25 Apan ang iyang mga disipulo mikuha kaniya pagkagabii ug gipanaog siya agi sa pader, gitunton siya sa usa ka bukag.
Then the disciples placed him in a basket, and let him down from the wall by night.
26 Sa dihang siya miabot ngadto sa Jerusalem, si Saulo misulay sa pag-apil sa mga disipulo, apan silang tanan nangahadlok pa kaniya, wala motuo nga siya usa na ka disipulo.
And he went to Jerusalem; and he wished to join himself with the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, and did not believe that he was a disciple.
27 Apan si Barnabas mikuha kaniya ug nagdala kaniya ngadto sa mga apostoles. Ug siya misulti kanila kung giunsa ni Saulo pagkakita sa Ginoo didto sa dalan ug ang Ginoo nagkigsulti ngadto kaniya, ug kung giunsa didto sa Damasco nga si Saulo sa walay kukahadlok nagasangyaw sa ngalan ni Jesus.
But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the legates, and related to them how the Lord appeared to him in the way, and how he conversed with him; and how, in Damascus, he had discoursed openly in the name of Jesus.
28 Siya nakigkita kanila sulod ug gawas sa Jerusalem. Siya nagsulti sa walay kukahadlok sa ngalan ni Ginoong Jesus
And he went in and out with them, at Jerusalem.
29 ug nagkiglantugi uban sa mga Judio sa Gresya; apan sila nagpadayon sa pagsulay sa pagpatay kaniya.
And he spoke openly in the name of Jesus and disputed with those Jews who understood Greek. But they wished to kill him:
30 Sa dihang ang mga kaigsoonan nasayod niini, sila nagdala kaniya palugsong ngadto sa Caesarea ug gipadala siya palayo ngadto sa Tarso.
and when the brethren knew it, they conducted him by night to Caesarea, and from there they sent him to Tarsus.
31 Busa, ang simbahan sa tibuok Judea, Galilea, ug Samaria adunay kalinaw ug nalig-on; ug, nagalakaw sa kahadlok sa Ginoo ug sa kahupay sa Balaang Espiritu, ang simbahan mitubo ang kadaghan.
Moreover the church, in all Judaea, and in Galilee, and in Samaria, had peace and was edified; and it walked in the fear of God, and abounded in the consolation of the Holy Spirit.
32 Karon nahitabo nga, samtang si Pedro miadto sa tibuok rehiyon, siya miadto palugsong usab sa katawhan sa Dios nga nagpuyo sa lungsod sa Lida.
And it occurred, that, as Simon travelled about the cities, he came down to the saints also who dwelt in the city of Lydda.
33 Didto niya nakaplagan ang usa ka tawo nga ginganlan ug Eneas, anaa sa iyang higdaanan sa walo ka tuig, kay siya paralisado.
And he found a certain man whose name was 'neas, who had lain on a bed and been paralytic eight years.
34 Si Pedro miingon kaniya, “Eneas, si Jesu-Cristo ang nag-ayo kanimo. Bangon ug hiposa ang imong higdaanan.” Ug dihadiha dayon siya mibangon.
And Simon said to him: 'neas, Jesus the Messiah doth heal thee; arise, and spread thy bed. And he rose up immediately.
35 Busa ang tanan nga nagpuyo sa Lida ug sa Sharon nakakita sa tawo ug sila nangakabig ngadto sa Dios.
And all they that dwelt at Lydda and Saron, saw him; and they turned to God.
36 Karon didto sa Jopa adunay usa ka disipulo nga ginganlan ug Tabita, mahubad kini nga “Dorcas.” Kini nga babaye puno sa maayong mga buhat ug maluluy-on nga nagbuhat alang sa mga kabos.
And there was in the city of Joppa, a certain female disciple named Tabitha; and she was rich in good works, and in the alms which she did.
37 Kini nahitabo niadtong mga adlawa nga siya nagsakit ug namatay; sa dihang nahugasan na nila siya, ila siyang gihaya sa taas nga lawak.
And she fell sick in those days, and died; and they washed her, and laid her in an upper room.
38 Tungod kay ang Lida duol lang sa Jopa, ug ang mga disipulo nakadungog nga si Pedro tua pa didto, sila nagpadala ug duha ka tawo ngadto kaniya, paghangyo kaniya, “Kuyog kanamo sa walay langan.”
And the disciples heard that Simon was in the city of Lydda, which is near to Joppa; and they sent two men to him, to request of him that he would not delay to come to them.
39 Si Pedro mitindog ug mikuyog uban kanila. Sa dihang siya miabot, gidala nila siya ngadto sa taas nga lawak. Ug ang tanang mga balo nag-alirong kaniya nga naghilak, gipakita kaniya ang kupo ug mga bisti nga gibuhat ni Dorcas samtang siya uban pa kanila.
And Simon arose and went with them. And when he arrived, they conducted him to the chamber; and there were assembled around her all the widows, weeping, and showing him the tunics and the cloaks which Tabitha had given them when alive.
40 Si Pedro nagpagawas nilang tanan sa lawak, miluhod, ug nag-ampo; unya, miatubang ngadto sa lawas, siya miingon, “Tabita, bangon.” Iyang gibuka ang iyang mga mata, ug sa dihang nakita niya si Pedro milingkod siya.
And Simon put all the people out, and fell on his knees and prayed; and he turned to the corpse and said: Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes; and when she saw Simon, she sat up.
41 Unya gigunitan ni Pedro ang iyang kamot ug gipatindog siya; ug dihang gitawag niya ang mga magtutuo ug ang mga balo, gipakita niya kanila nga siya buhi na.
And he reached to her his hand, and raised her up: and he called the saints and the widows, and presented her to them alive.
42 Kining butanga nasayran sa tibuok Jopa, ug daghang katawhan ang mituo sa Ginoo.
And this became known throughout the city; and many believed on our Lord.
43 Nahitabo kadto nga si Pedro nagpabilin sa daghang mga adlaw sa Joppa uban sa usa ka tawo nga ginganlan ug Simon, usa ka magtatabas ug panit sa hayop.
And he tarried in Joppa not a few days: and he lodged in the house of Simon a tanner.
