Mga Buhat 7
1 Ang labaw nga pari miingon, “Tinuod ba kining mga butanga?”
And the chief of the priests demanded if these (things) were so?
2 Si Stefen mitubag, “Mga igsoon ug mga amahan, pamati kamo kanako: Ang Dios nga mahimayaon nagpakita sa atong amahan nga si Abraham kadtong atua siya sa Mesopotamia, sa wala pa siya nagpuyo sa Haran;
But he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hear! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was between the rivers, he had not yet come to dwell in Charan,
3 miingon siya kaniya, “Pagbiya sa imong yuta ug kaparyentihan, ug lakaw ngadto sa dapit nga akong ipakita kanimo.
and said to him, Go forth from thy country and from (being) with the sons of thy family, and come to the land that I will show thee.
4 Busa mibiya siya sa yuta sa taga-Caldaean ug nagpuyo sa Haran; gikan didto, human mamatay ang iyang amahan, gidala siya sa Dios niining yutaa, diin kamo nakapuyo karon.
Then went forth Abraham from the land of the Kaldoyee, and came and dwelt in Charan: and from thence, his father being dead, Aloha caused him to pass into this land in which you dwell to-day.
5 Wala siyay gihatag nga panulondon kaniya, wala, bisan igo lang nga matindogan sa tiil. Apan siya nagsaad— bisan ug si Abraham wala pa gayoy anak—nga iyang ihatag ang yuta isip usa ka panag-iyahon alang kaniya ug sa iyang kaliwatan nga mosunod kaniya.
And (yet) he gave him no inheritance in it, nor a place of the feet, but he promised to give it to him for an heritage to himself and to his seed, while as yet he had not a son.
6 Ang Dios nakigsulti kaniya sama niini nga paagi, nga ang iyang kaliwatan mopuyo sa mubo nga panahon sa langyaw nga yuta, ug ang mga lumulupyo didto pagahimuon silang ulipon ug motagad kanila ug dili maayo sulod sa 400 ka tuig.
And Aloha spake with him, telling him that his seed should be a sojourner in a strange land, and that they would enslave and ill-treat them four hundred years.
7 'Ug akong pagahukman ang nasod diin sila mahimong mga ulipon,' miingon ang Dios, 'ug pagkahuman niana sila mogawas ug mosimba kanako niining dapita.'
And the nation whom they will serve (in) bondage will I judge, saith Aloha: and afterward they shall come forth and serve me in this place.
8 Ug gihatag niya kang Abraham ang kasabotan sa pagtuli, busa si Abraham nahimong amahan ni Isaac ug gituli niya siya sa ikawalo nga adlaw; Si Isaac nahimong amahan ni Jacob, ug si Jacob amahan sa dose ka patriarka.
And he gave to him the covenant of circumcision. And then begat he Ishok, and circumcised him on the eighth day, and Ishok begat Jakub, and Jakub begat our twelve fathers.
9 Ang patriarka gidumalahan sa ilang kasina batok kang Jose ug gibaligya siya sa Ehipto, ug ang Dios miuban kaniya,
And these our fathers were incited against Jauseph, and sold him into Mitsreen. And Aloha was with him:
10 giluwas siya sa tanan niyang kalisdanan, ug gihatagan siya ug pinasahi nga pagtagad ug kaalam sa atubangan sa Paraon, nga hari sa Ehipto. Gihimo siya sa Paraon nga gobernador sa Ehipto ug sa tibuok niyang panimalay.
and he delivered him from all his afflictions, and gave him grace and wisdom before Pherun king of Mitsreen, and he appointed him prince over Mitsreen, and over all his house.
11 Unya miabot ang kagutom ug dakong kalisdanan sa tibuok Ehipto ug Canaan: ug ang atong mga amahan walay nakaplagan nga pagkaon.
AND there was a famine and great affliction in all Mitsreen, and in the land of Kenaan, and our fathers had nothing to satisfy them.
12 Apan sa dihang nakadungog si Jacob nga adunay trigo sa Ehipto, gipadala niya sa unang higayon ang atong mga katigulangan.
And when Jakub heard that there was corn in Mitsreen, he sent forth our fathers before.
13 Sa ikaduha nga higayon, nagpaila na sa iyang kaugalingon si Jose sa iyang mga igsoon; ug nailhan sa Paraon ang pamilya ni Jose.
And when they had gone the second time, Jauseph made himself known to his brethren, and the family of Jauseph were made known unto Pherun.
14 Gipapauli ni Jose ang iyang mga igsoon aron sultihan si Jacob, ang iyang amahan, nga moadto sa Ehipto, kauban ang iyang mga paryente, 75 ka tawo tanan.
And Jauseph sent and brought his father Jakub and all his family, and they were in number seventy and five souls.
15 Mao nga si Jacob milugsong sa Ehipto; unya siya namatay, siya ug lakip na ang atong mga katigulangan.
And Jakub went down into Mitsreen and died there; he and our fathers.
16 Gidala sila sa Shechem ug gibutang sa lubnganan nga napalit ni Abraham sa plata nga kantidad gikan sa mga anak ni Hamor sa Shechem.
And he was removed to Shechem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought with silver from the B'nai Chamur.
17 Samtang ang panahon sa gisaad nagkaduol na sama sa gisaad sa Dios kang Abraham, ang mga tawo midako ug nanaghan sa Ehipto,
And when was come the time of that which Aloha promised with an oath unto Abraham, the people had multiplied and increased in Mitsreen
18 hangtod nga adunay mitungha nga laing hari sa Ehipto, usa ka hari nga wala makaila kang Jose.
until another king had arisen over Mitsreen, who knew not Jauseph,
19 Kini nga hari gilimbongan ang atong katawhan ug gidaogdaog ang atong mga katigulangan, gipanglabay nila ang ilang mga gagmayng bata aron dili sila mabuhi.
and he dealt fraudulently against our kindred, and shamefully entreated our fathers, and commanded that their children should be cast away, that they might not live.
20 Niana nga panahon si Moises natawo; siya ambungan gayod kaayo atubangan sa Dios ug giatiman sa tulo ka bulan sa puloy-anan sa iyang amahan.
In that time Musha was born, and was beloved of Aloha, and was brought up three months in the house of his father.
21 Sa dihang gilabay siya sa gawas, gikuha siya sa anak nga babaye sa Paraon ug giatiman siya ingon nga iyang anak.
And when he was outcast from his people, the daughter of Pherun found him, and brought him up unto her for a son.
22 Natudloan si Moises sa tanan nga nahibaw-an sa mga Ehiptohanon; ug siya gamhanan sa iyang mga pulong ug mga buhat.
And Musha was instructed in all the wisdom of the Mitsroyee, and was excellent in words (and) also in deeds.
23 Apan pagtungtong niya sa edad nga 40, miabot sa iyang kasingkasing nga susihon ang kahimtang sa iyang mga kaigsoonan, ang mga anak sa Israel.
And when he became a son of forty years, it arose upon his heart to visit his brethren the sons of Israel.
24 Pagkakita ni Moises nga gidaogdaog ang usa ka Israelita, gipanalipdan niya kini ug gipanimaslan gikan sa Ehiptohanon nga maoy nagdaogdaog pinaagi sa pagpuspus niini:
And he saw one of the sons of his tribe treated with violence, and he avenged him, and did him justice, and he killed the Mitsroya who had offended him and
25 naghunahuna siya nga ang iyang mga kaigsoonan makasabot nga giluwas sila sa Dios pinaagi sa iyang kamot, apan wala sila makasabot.
hoped that his brethren, the sons of Israel, would understand that Aloha by his hand would give them deliverance; but they understood not.
26 Sa sunod nga adlaw miduol siya sa mga Israelita samtang sila nag-away; gisulayan niya sila ug husay; miingon siya, 'Mga sir, managsoon kamo; nganong buhatan man ninyo ug sayop ang usag usa?'
And the day after he appeared to them while they strove one with another: and he persuaded them to be pacified, saying, Men, you are brethren; why offend you one the other?
27 Apan ang usa nga maoy nakabuhat ug sayop sa iyang silingan gituklod siya, ug miingon, 'Kinsa ang naghatag kanimo ug katungod nga magmando ug maghukom kanamo?
But he who had offended his neighbour removed himself from him, and said to him, Who appointed thee over us a prince and a judge?
28 Buot ba nimong patyon ako, sama sa pagpatay nimo sa Ehiptohanon kagahapon?'
Seekest thou to kill me as thou killedst the Mitsroya yesterday?
29 Nibiya si Moises palayo human niya kini madungog; nahimo siyang langyaw sa yuta sa Midian, diin siya nahimong amahan sa duha ka anak nga lalaki.
And Musha fled at that word, and became a sojourner in the land of Median, and there were to him two sons.
30 Paglabay sa 40 ka tuig, adunay usa ka anghel nga mipakita kaniya sa kamingawan sa Bungtod sa Sinai, sa usa ka nagdilaab nga kalayo sa gamay nga kahoy.
AND when forty years were there fulfilled to him, there appeared to him in the desert of Mount Sinai the angel of the Lord in a flame that burned in a bush.
31 Pagkakita ni Moises sa kalayo, natingala siya sa iyang nakita; sa dihang giduol niya kini ug gisusi, ang tingog sa Ginoo miingon,
And while Musha looked, he wondered at the sight. And as he drew near to gaze, the Lord spake to him with the voice:
32 'Ako ang Dios sa imong mga amahan, ang Dios ni Abraham, ni Isaac, ug ni Jacob.' Nangurog si Moises ug wala gayod siya nisulay ug tan-aw.
I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham and of Ishok and of Jakub. And Musha, trembling, dared not look upon the sight.
33 Ang Ginoo misulti kaniya, 'Huboa ang imong sandalyas, kay kining dapit nga imong gibarogan balaan.
And the Lord said to him, Loose thy sandals from thy feet: for the ground on which thou standest is holy.
34 Nakita ko na gayod ang kalisdanan sa akong katawhan nga atua sa Ehipto; Nadungog ko ang ilang pag-agulo, ug mikanaog ako aron luwason sila; mao nga duol ngari, kay ipadala ko ikaw sa Ehipto.'
Seeing I have seen the affliction of my people who in Mitsreen, and his groaning I have heard, and I have descended that I may deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Mitsreen.
35 Kining Moises nga ilang gisalikway, sa dihang sila miingon nga, 'Kinsa ang naghimo kanimo nga mahimong usa ka magmamando ug usa ka maghuhukom?'—siya ang gipadala sa Dios nga mangulo ug moluwas. Gipadala siya pinaagi sa kamot sa anghel nga nagpakita kang Moises sa gamay nga kahoy.
This Musha whom they denied, when they said, Who appointed thee over us a prince and a judge? this, sent Aloha unto them a prince and a deliverer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him at the bush.
36 Nangulo kanila si Moises pagawas sa Ehipto, pagkahuman niya ug buhat ug mga milagro ug ilhanan sa Ehipto, sa Pula nga Dagat, ug sa kamingawan sa sulod sa 40 ka tuig.
This brought them out, when he had wrought signs and wonders and mighty deeds in the land of Mitsreen, and at the Sea of Suph, and in the desert forty years.
37 Mao usab kini ang Moises nga miingon sa katawhan sa Israel, 'Magpabarog ang Dios ug usa ka propeta alang kaninyo gikan sa inyong mga kaigsoonan, usa ka propeta sama kanako.'
THIS is that Musha, who said to the sons of Israel, A Prophet will Aloha the Lord raise up unto you from your brethren, like me; him shall you hear.
38 Kini mao ang tawo nga anaa sa panagtigom sa kamingawan kauban ang mga anghel nga nakigsulti kaniya sa Bungtod sa Sinai. Kini mao ang tawo nga kauban sa atong katigulangan; kining tawhana ang nakadawat ug buhing mga pulong aron ipadayag kanato.
This is he who was with the congregation in the desert, with the angel himself who spake with him and with our fathers at the mountain of Sinai; and he it was who received the words of life to give (them) to us.
39 Kini mao ang tawo nga wala gisunod sa atong mga katigulangan; Ilaha siyang gituklod palayo kanila, ug ang ilang kasingkasing nibalik ngadto sa Ehipto.
And our fathers willed not to give heed to him, but left him, and in their hearts turned back to Mitsreen,
40 Nianang panahona miingon sila kang Aaron, 'Himoi kami ug diosdios nga mangulo kanamo. Kini nga Moises, nga maoy nangulo sa atong kagawasan sa Ehipto, wala na kami makabalo kung unsa ang nahitabo kaniya.'
saying to Aharun, Make us alohee that may go before us, because this Musha, who brought us forth from the land of Mitsreen, we know not what is become of him.
41 Mao nga naghimo sila ug nating baka niadtong panahona ug nagdala ug halad sa diosdios, unya naglipay tungod sa binuhat sa ilang mga kamot.
And he made them the calf in those days, and they sacrificed sacrifices to idols, and were delighted with the work of their hands.
42 Apan ang Dios mibiya ug gitugyan sila nga moalagad sa binuhat sa langit; ingon sa nahisulat sa libro sa mga propeta, 'Naghalad ba kamo kanako ug gipatay nga mapintas nga mananap ug uban pang mga halad sulod sa 40 ka tuig sa kamingawan, panimalay sa Israel?
And Aloha turned, and delivered them up to be worshippers of the hosts of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, Forty years in the desert Victims or sacrifices did you offer to me, Sons of Israel?
43 Gidawat ninyo ang tolda ni Molec ug ang bituon sa diosdios nga si Repan, ug ang mga larawan nga inyong gibuhat aron mosimba kanila: Ug dalhon ko kamo saylo pa sa Babilonia.'
But you took up the tabernacle of Malkum, And the star of the god of Raphan, Images you have made to worship them; I will remove you beyond Babel.
44 Ang atong mga katigulangan adunay tolda sa pagpamatuod sa kamingawan, sama sa gimando sa Dios sa dihang nakig-istorya siya kang Moises, nga kinahanglan niyang buhaton kini sama sa iyang nakita.
BEHOLD, the tabernacle of testimony of our fathers was in the desert, as He who spake with Musha had commanded to make it after the pattern which he had seen.
45 Kini mao ang balongbalong nga gidala sa atong katigulangan sa atong yuta pinaagi kang Josue. Kini nahitabo sa dihang sila misulod sa tanang gipanag-iyahan sa maong mga nasod, nga gipapahawa sa Dios atubangan sa atong mga katigulangan. Sama kini niini hangtod sa kapanahonan ni David,
And this tabernacle also our fathers bringing brought in with Jeshu to the land which Aloha had given to them, an inheritance from those peoples whom he had expelled from before them, and it was carried until the days of David;
46 nga nakakaplag ug kaluoy sa mata sa Dios; nangayo siya ug usa ka puloy-anan alang sa Dios ni Jacob.
who found favour before Aloha, and asked to find a tabernacle for the God of Jakub.
47 Apan gibuhatan ni Solomon ug balay ang Dios.
But Shelemun builded the house.
48 Ngani, ang Labing Halangdon wala magpuyo sa mga balay nga binuhat lamang sa mga kamot; sama sa giingon sa propeta,
But the Most High dwelleth not in the work of hands, as saith the prophet,
49 'Ang langit ang akong trono, ug ang yuta ang tumbanan sa akong tiil. Unsa nga matang sa balay ang imong matukod alang kanako? miingon ang Ginoo: O diin man ang dapit nga ako makapahulay?
Heaven is my throne, And earth the footstool beneath my feet: What house will you build me? saith the Lord: Or what is the place of my rest?
50 Dili ba ang akong kaugalingong kamot man ang nagbuhat niining mga butanga?'
Hath not my hand made all these?
51 Kamong mga tawo nga gahi ug liog ug wala natuli ang kasingkasing ug dalunggan, kanunay kamong nagdumili sa Balaang Espiritu; sama lamang ang inyong binuhatan sa binuhatan sa inyong mga katigulangan.
O, hardened of neck and uncircumcised in your hearts and in your hearing, you at all times against the Spirit of Holiness stand up; as your fathers, so you also.
52 Kinsa sa mga propeta ang wala gilutos sa inyong mga katigulangan? Gipatay nila ang propeta nga miabot sa wala pa niabot ang Usa ka Matarong; ug kamo nahimo na usab nga magbubudhi ug mamumuno kaniya,
For which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted and slain? they who before announced the coming of the Righteous; him whom you delivered up and slew.
53 kamong mga tawo nga nakadawat sa balaod nga gipatukod sa mga anghel, apan wala ninyo kini gitipigan.”
And you have received the law by the precept of angels. and have not kept it.
54 Karon sa dihang nakadungog ang mga miyembro sa konseho niining mga butanga, nahiwa ilang kasingkasing, ug mikagot sa ilang mga ngipon ngadto kang Stefen.
AND when they heard these they were filled with wrath in themselves, and they gnashed their teeth upon him.
55 Apan siya, nga puno sa Balaang Espiritu, mihangad sa langit ug nakita ang himaya sa Dios; ug iyang nakita si Jesus nga nagtindog sa tuo nga kamot sa Dios.
And he, being full of faith and of the Spirit of Holiness, looked up to heaven, and saw the glory of Aloha, and Jeshu standing at the right hand of Aloha.
56 Miingon si Stefen, “Tan-awa, nakita ko ang langit nga naabli, ug ang Anak sa Tawo nagtindog sa tuo nga kamot sa Dios.”
And he said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing at the right hand of Aloha.
57 Apan ang mga miyembro sa konseho misinggit sa makusog, ug nanampong sa ilang mga dalunggan, unya dalidali nga miduol kaniya;
And they cried with a high voice, and stopped their ears, and rushed upon him, all of them,
58 gipapahawa nila siya pagawas sa siyudad ug gibato: ug gipamutang sa mga saksi ang ilang panggawas nga mga sinina sa tiilan sa batan-ong lalaki nga ginganlan ug Saulo.
and seizing they brought him out of the city and stoned him. And they who witnessed against him laid their garments before the feet of a certain young man named Shaol.
59 Samtang gibato nila si Stefen, nagsangpit siya sa Dios ug miingon, “Ginoong Jesus, dawata ang akong espiritu.”
And they stoned Estephanos, (he) praying and saying, Our Lord Jeshu, receive my spirit.
60 Miluhod siya ug misangpit sa makusog nga tingog, “Ginoo, ayaw sila pakasad-a niining mga butanga.” samtang gisulti niya kini, natulog siya.
And kneeling down, he cried with a high voice, and said, Our Lord, let not this sin arise against them. And when this he had said, he slept.
