2 Timoteo 1
1 Gikan kang Pablo, nga apostol ni Cristo Jesus pinaagi sa kabubut-on sa Dios, sumala sa saad sa kinabuhi nga anaa kang Cristo Jesus,
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
2 alang kang Timoteo, nga gihigugmang anak: Grasya, kalooy, ug kalinaw gikan sa Dios Amahan ug kang Cristo Jesus nga atong Ginoo.
To Timothy, [my] dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, [and] peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 Nagpasalamat ako sa Dios nga gialagaran nako gikan sa akong mga katigulangan sa putli nga konsensiya, samtang kanunay ako gahinumdom kanimo sa akong mga pag-ampo, gabii ug adlaw
I thank God, whom I serve from [my] forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
4 nangandoy nga makakita kanimo, gahinumdom sa imong mga luha, aron mapuno ako sa kalipay;
Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;
5 sa dihang nahinumduman nako ang imong pagtuo nga tinuod; nga diha una sa imong lola nga si Lois, ug sa imong inahan nga si Eunice, ug diin kombinsido ako nga anaa sad kanimo.
When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
6 Mao kini ang hinungdan nga ako kang pahinumduman nga pagpainiton nimo ang gasa sa Dios nga anaa kanimo pinaagi sa pagpandung nako sa akong mga kamot kanimo.
For which cause I put thee in remembrance, that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the imposition of my hands.
7 Kay ang Dios wala naghatag kanato ug espiritu sa kahadlok, kondili sa gahum ug gugma ug sa disiplina.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
8 Busa ayaw kaulaw sa saksi mahitungod sa atong Ginoo, ni bisan sa akoa, Pablo, nga iyang priniso, apan makig-ambit ka sa mga pag-antos alang sa maayong balita pinaagi sa gahum sa Dios
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
9 nga nagluwas kanato ug nagtawag kanato sa balaan nga pagkatawag, dili pinaagi sa atong mga binuhatan, kondili pinaagi sa iyang kaugalingong plano ug grasya nga Iyang gihatag kanato diha kang Cristo Jesus sukad sa wala pa nagsugod ang panahon; (aiōnios g166)
Who hath saved us, and called [us] with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the world began; (aiōnios g166)
10 apan karon ang kaluwasan sa Dios gipahayag sa pagpakita sa atong manluluwas nga si Cristo Jesus nga naglaglag sa kamatayon ug nagdala ug kinabuhi nga walay katapusan sa kahayag pinaagi sa maayong balita,
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
11 diin gipili ako nga magsasangyaw, apostol, ug magtutudlo.
To which I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 Tungod niini nga hinungdan nag-antos sad ako niining mga butanga: apan wala ako maulaw; kay nakaila ako kaniya nga akong gituohan, ug ako nakombinsi nga iyang ampingan kadtong akong gipiyal kaniya hangtod moabot ang adlaw.
For which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed to him against that day.
13 Magpadayon ka sa pagsundog sa himsog nga mga pulong nga nadunggan nimo gikan kanako, sa pagtuo ug sa gugma nga anaa kang Cristo Jesus.
Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard from me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14 Kanang maayong butang nga gitugyan sa Dios kanimo, bantayi pinaaagi sa Balaang Espiritu, nga nagpuyo kanato.
That good thing which was committed to thee keep by the Holy Spirit which dwelleth in us.
15 Nahibaw-an na nimo kini, nga ang tanan nga nagpuyo diha sa Asia nisalikway kanako; lakip niini nga grupo sila Figelo ug Hermogenes.
This thou knowest, that all they who are in Asia are turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
16 Hinaot unta nga kaloy-an sa Ginoo ang panimalay ni Onesiforo: kay kanunay siya nga nagpalagsik kanako, ug wala maulaw sa akong kadena,
The Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus; for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:
17 apan kadtong nianhi siya sa Roma, gakugi gyud siya ug pangita kanako, ug nakit-an niya ako -
But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found [me].
18 hinaot nga hatagan siya sa Ginoo ug kalooy inig abot sa adlaw - ug sa tanang pagtabang niya kanako sa Efeso, nakahibalo kaayo ka niini.
The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered to me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.
