2 Timoteo 3

1 Apan kini hibalo-i: sa mga ulahi nga mga adlaw moabot ang mga peligro nga mga panahon.

But of this be assured: in the last days grievous times will set in.

2 Kay ang mga tawo higugmaon nila ang ilang mga kaugalingon, mahigugmaon sila sa kwarta, hambogero, mapahitas-on, tigpasipala, masinupakon sa mga ginikanan, dili mapasalamaton, dili balaan,

For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, profane. They will be disobedient to parents, thankless, irreligious,

3 wala sa kinaiyanhon nga pagbati, walay kaluoy, madinauton, walay pagpugong sa kaugalingon, bayolente, dili mahigugma-on sa maayo,

destitute of natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers. They will have no self-control, but will be brutal, opposed to goodness,

4 mga traydor, walay pagmatngon, magarboso, mahigugma-on sa lawasnon nga kalipay imbes mahigugma-on sa Dios.

treacherous, headstrong, self-important. They will love pleasure instead of loving God,

5 Aduna silay porma nga pagkadiosnon, apan gilimod nila ang gahum niini. Talikdi kini nga mga tao.

and will keep up a make-believe of piety and yet live in defiance of its power. Turn away from people of this sort.

6 Kay ang uban niining mga tawhana mosulod sa mga panimalay ug danihon ang mga babaye nga luya sa espirituhanong bahin nga napuno sa mga kasal-anan hinungdan nga nadani sila sa lainlaing tinguha.

Among them are included the men who make their way into private houses and carry off weak women as their prisoners--women who, weighed down by the burden of their sins, are led by ever-changing caprice,

7 Kini nga mga babaye kanunay nga mosulay nga makakat-on ug bag-ong mga butang, apan dili gyud sila makahibalo sa kamatuoran.

and are always learning something new, and yet are never able to arrive at real knowledge of the truth.

8 Sa sama nga pamaagi nga si Jannes ug si Jambres mikontra kang Moises, kini nga mga bakakon nga magtutudlo mitindog sad batok sa kamatuoran. Nadaut ang ilang hunahuna ug ang ilang pagtuo dili mapamatud-an.

And just as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so also these false teachers withstand the truth--being, as they are, men of debased intellects, and of no real worth so far as faith is concerned.

9 Apan dili gyud sila makauswag pag-ayo, kay ang ilang pagkabuang makita man sa tanan, sama sa pagkabuang adtong duha ka mga lalaki.

But they will have no further success; for their folly will be as clearly manifest to all men, as that of the opponents of Moses came to be.

10 Apan ikaw misunod sa akong mga pagtulon-an, pamatasan, tumong, pagtuo, taas nga pag-antos, gugma, pailob,

But you have intimately known my teaching, life, aims, faith, patience, love, resignation,

11 mga paglutos, mga pag-antos, ug kung unsa ang nahitabo kanako sa Antioquia, sa Iconio ug sa Listra. Giantos nako kadtong mga paglutos, ug sa tanan niini, ang Ginoo nagluwas kanako.

and the persecutions and sufferings which I have endured; the things which happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra. You know the persecutions I endured, and how the Lord delivered me out of them all.

12 Ang tanan nga gusto nga magkinabuhi sa diosnon nga pamaagi diha kang Cristo Jesus lutuson gyud.

And indeed every one who is determined to live a godly life as a follower of Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

13 Ang mga dautan ug mga impostor mosamot gyud, samtang panguluhan nila ang uban nga masalaag sama nga sila mismo nahisalaag.

But bad men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, misleading and being misled.

14 Apan ikaw, magpadayon ka sa imong nakat-onan ug gituohan pag-ayo, kay nakahibalo ikaw kung kang kinsa nimo kini nakat-onan.

But you must cling to the things which you have learnt and have been taught to believe, knowing who your teachers were,

15 Nakahibalo ka nga gikan pa sa imong pagkabata nahibaw-an na nimo ang balaan nga mga kasulatan nga naghimo kanimong maalamon sa kaluwasan pinaagi sa pagtuo diha kang Cristo Jesus.

and that from infancy you have known the sacred writings which are able to make you wise to obtain salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

16 Ang tanan nga Kasulatan dinasig sa Dios ug kini mapuslanon sa doktrina, sa pagtuo, sa paghusto, ug sa pagbansay sa pagkamatarong

Every Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for convincing, for correction of error, and for instruction in right doing;

17 aron nga ang tawo sa Dios mahimong takos, sangkap sa mga maayo nga buhat.

so that the man of God may himself be complete and may be perfectly equipped for every good work.
