2 Tesalonica 2

1 Karon naghangyo kami kaninyo, mga igsoon, mahitungod sa pagbalik sa atong Ginoong Jesu Cristo ug sa pagtigum kanatong tanan diha kaniya,

But we entreat of you, my brethren, in regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, and in respect to our being congregated unto him,

2 nga dili dali mauyog ang inyong mga hunahuna o mabalaka, pinaagi man sa espiritu o sa pulong o sa sulat nga gikan kanamo — aron dili kamo motuo nga ang adlaw sa atong Ginoo niabot na.

that ye be not soon agitated in your mind, nor be troubled, neither by word, nor by spirit, nor by letter, as coming from us, that lo, the day of our Lord is at hand.

3 Ayaw kamo palimbong kang bisan kinsa sa bisan unsang pamaagi. Kay dili moabot kini hangtod dili pa moabot ang pagkahulog, ug maipadayag ang tawo nga masinupakon, nga mao ang anak sa kadautan.

Let no one deceive you in any way; because that day will not come, unless there previously come a defection, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Mao kini siya ang mobatok ug magpadayeg sa iyang kaugalingon batok sa tanan nga gitawag nga Dios o gisimba, aron siya maglingkod didto sa templo sa Dios ug iyang gipahulagway ang iyang kaugalingon nga Dios.

who is an opposer, and exalteth himself above all that is called God and Worshipful; so that he also sitteth in the temple of God, as a God, and displayeth himself, as if he were God.

5 Wala ba kamo makahihumdum nga kadtong diha pa ako kaninyo nga gisultihan namo nako aning mga butanga?

Do ye not remember, that, when I was with you, I told you these things?

6 Karon nahibaloan na ninyo kung kinsa ang nagpugong kaniya, aron maipadayag lang siya sa saktong panahon.

And now, ye know what hindereth his being manifested in his time.

7 Kay ang misteryo mahitungud sa masinupakon nagsugod nga napadayag na, apan adunay nagpugong kaniya karon samtang dili pa siya mapahawa sa dalan.

For the mystery of the evil One already beginneth to be operative: and only, if that which now hindereth shall be taken from the midst;

8 Diha pa dayon maipadayag ang masinupakon, nga patyon sa Ginoong Jesus pinaagi sa ginhawa sa iyang baba ug iyang himuon nga wala na pinaagi sa pagpadayag sa iyang pagbalik.

then at length will that evil One be revealed; whom our Lord Jesus will consume by the breath of his mouth, and will bring to naught by the visibility of his advent.

9 Ang pag-anhi sa masinupakon pinaagi sa trabaho ni Satanas puno siya sa tanang gahum, mga timaan, ug mga katingalahan nga dili tinuod,

For the coming of that evil One, is the working of Satan, with all power, and signs, and lying wonders,

10 ug tanang limbong sa pagka dili matarong alang sa adtong mga laglagonon, kay wala nila gidawat ang gugma sa kamatuoran aron unta maluwas sila.

and with all the deceptiveness of iniquity, in them that perish; because they did not receive the love of the truth, by which they might have life.

11 Tungod niini nga hinungdan magpadala kanila ang Dios sa sayop nga bulohaton,

Therefore God will send upon them the operation of deception, that they may believe a lie;

12 aron touhan nila ang bakak, aron mahukman silang tanan, kadtong wala motuo sa kamatuoran apan nagpakalipay sa dili matarong.

and that they all may be condemned, who believe not the truth, but have pleasure in iniquity.

13 Apan angay kaming magpasalamat sa Dios kanunay mahitungod kaninyo, mga igsoon nga hinigugma sa Ginoo, kay kamo ang gipili sa Dios nga maoy unang bunga sa kaluwasan nga gigahin niya pinaagi sa Espiritu ug sa pagtuo sa kamatuoran,

But we are bound to give thanks to God always, on your account, my brethren beloved of our Lord, that God hath from the beginning chosen you unto life, through sanctification of the Spirit, and through faith in the truth.

14 nga diin gitawag kamo niya pinaagi sa maayong balita aron maangkon ninyo ang himaya sa atong Ginoong Jesu Cristo.

For unto these it was, that God called you by our preaching; that ye might be the glory to our Lord Jesus the Messiah.

15 Mao nga, mga igsoon, pagbarog kamo nga lig-on, ug guniti pag-ayo ang naandan nga pamaagi nga gitudlo kaninyo pinaagi sa pagsulti o sa among sulat.

Therefore, my brethren, be established, and persevere in the precepts which ye have been taught, whether by word or by our epistle.

16 Karon hinaot nga ang atong Ginoong Jesu Cristo mismo, ug ang atong Dios Amahan nga naghigugma kanato ug naghatag kanato ug hupay nga walay katapusan ug maayong pagsalig sa umaabot nga panahon pinaagi sa grasya, (aiōnios g166)

And may our Lord Jesus the Messiah himself, and God our Father, who hath loved us, and given us everlasting consolation and a good hope through his grace, (aiōnios g166)

17 maghupay ug magmalig-on sa inyong mga kasingkasing sa tanang maayong buluhaton ug sinultihan.

comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word, and in every good work.
