1 Karon sa ikatulong tuig ni Hosea ang anak nga lalaki ni Ela, nga hari sa Israel, nagsugod sa paghari si Hezekia nga anak nga lalaki ni Ahaz, nga hari sa Juda.
And it was in year three of Hoshea [the] son of Elah [the] king of Israel he became king Hezekiah [the] son of Ahaz [the] king of Judah.
2 Nagsugod siya sa paghari sa dihang 25 pa ka tuig ang iyang pangidaron; naghari siya sulod sa 29 ka tuig sa Jerusalem. Ang ngalan sa iyang inahan mao si Abia; anak siya nga babaye ni Zacarias.
A son of twenty and five year[s] he was when became king he and twenty and nine year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Abi [the] daughter of Zechariah.
3 Nagbuhat siya ug matarong sa panan-aw ni Yahweh, gisunod niya ang tanang panag-ingnan nga nabuhat ni David, nga iyang katigulangan.
And he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh according to all that he had done David ancestor his.
4 Gitanggal niya ang anaa sa taas nga mga dapit, giguba ang bato nga mga haligi, ug giputol ang mga mga poste nga si Asera. Gidugmok niya ang tumbaga nga bitin nga gibuhat ni Moises, tungod kay niadtong mga adlawa ang katawhan sa Israel nagsunog ug insenso niini; gitawag kini nga “Nehustan.”
He - he removed the high places and he broke the sacred pillars and he cut down the Asherah pole and he crushed to pieces [the] snake of bronze which he had made Moses for until the days those they were [the] people of Israel making smoke to it and someone had called it Nehushtan.
5 Misalig si Hezekia kang Yahweh, ang Dios sa Israel, mao nga human kaniya wala na gayoy susama kaniya taliwala sa mga hari sa Juda, ni taliwala sa mga hari nga nauna kaniya.
In Yahweh [the] God of Israel he trusted and after him not anyone was like him among all [the] kings of Judah and [those] who they were before him.
6 Kay nagpabilin siya ngadto kang Yahweh. Wala gayod siya mihunong sa pagsunod kaniya apan mituman sa iyang mga mando, nga gimando ni Yahweh kang Moises.
And he clung to Yahweh not he turned aside from after him and he kept commandments his which he had commanded Yahweh Moses.
7 Busa nag-uban si Yahweh kang Hezekia, ug nagmauswagon siya bisan asa moadto. Misupak siya batok sa hari sa Asiria ug wala mag-alagad kaniya.
And he was Yahweh with him in all that he went out he prospered and he rebelled against [the] king of Assyria and not he served him.
8 Gisulong niya ang mga Filistihanon hangtod sa Gaza ug ang utlanan nga nagpalibot niini, gikan sa tore sa mga tigbantay ngadto sa lig-on nga siyudad.
He he struck down [the] Philistines to Gaza and territories its from a tower of watchmen unto a city of fortification.
9 Sa ikaupat nga tuig ni Haring Hezekia, nga maoy ikapito nga tuig ni Hosea nga anak nga lalaki ni Ela nga hari sa Israel, miabot si Shalmaneser nga hari sa Asiria batok sa Samaria ug gipalibotan kini.
And it was in the year fourth of the king Hezekiah it [was] the year seventh of Hoshea [the] son of Elah [the] king of Israel he came up Shalmaneser [the] king of Assyria on Samaria and he laid siege on it.
10 Sa kataposan sa tulo ka tuig gikuha nila kini, sa ikaunom nga tuig ni Hezekia, nga maoy ikasiyam nga tuig ni Hosea nga hari sa Israel; niini nga pamaagi nailog nila ang Samaria.
And they captured it from [the] end of three years in year six of Hezekiah it [was] year nine of Hoshea [the] king of Israel it was captured Samaria.
11 Busa gidala sa hari sa Asiria ang Israel ngadto sa Asiria ug gibutang sila sa Hala, ug sa Suba sa Habor didto sa Gozan, ug sa mga siyudad sa Medes.
And he took into exile [the] king of Assyria Israel Assyria towards and he led them in Halah and on [the] Habor [the] river of Gozan and [the] cities of Media.
12 Gibuhat niya kini tungod kay wala sila mituman sa tingog ni Yahweh nga ilang Dios, apan gisupak nila ang kasabotan sa iyang pagpakigsaad, ang tanan nga gimando ni Moises nga alagad ni Yahweh. Nagdumili sila sa pagpamati o sa pagbuhat niini.
On - that not they had listened to [the] voice of Yahweh God their and they had transgressed covenant his all that he had commanded Moses [the] servant of Yahweh and not they listened and not they did.
13 Unya sa ikanapulo ug upat ka tuig ni Haring Hezekia, gisulong ni Senakerib nga hari sa Asiria ang tanang lig-on nga mga siyudad sa Juda ug nailog kini.
And in four-teen year of the king Hezekiah he came up Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria on all [the] cities of Judah fortified and he seized them.
14 Busa nagpadala si Hezekia nga hari sa Juda ug pulong ngadto sa hari sa Asiria, nga anaa sa Lakis, nga nag-ingon, “Nakasala ako kanimo. Ayaw na pagsulong nganhi kanako. Bisan unsa ang imong ipabuhat kanako akong pagabuhaton.” Gipabayad sa hari sa Asiria si Hezekia nga hari sa Juda ug 300 ka mga talent sa plata ug 30 ka talent sa bulawan.
And he sent Hezekiah [the] king of Judah to [the] king of Assyria - Lachish towards - saying - I have sinned turn back from on me [that] which you will put on me I will bear and he imposed [the] king of Assyria on Hezekiah [the] king of Judah three hundred talent[s] of silver and thirty talent[s] of gold.
15 Busa gihatag ni Hezekia kaniya ang tanan nga plata nga anaa sa balay ni Yahweh ug ang anaa sa tipiganan sa bahandi sa palasyo sa hari.
And he gave Hezekiah all the silver which was found [the] house of Yahweh and in [the] treasuries of [the] house of the king.
16 Unya giputol ni Hezekia ang bulawan nga gikan sa mga pultahan sa templo ni Yahweh ug gikan sa mga haligi nga iyang gitaklap; gihatag niya ang bulawan ngadto sa hari sa Asiria.
At the time that he cut off Hezekiah [the] doors of [the] temple of Yahweh and the door-posts which he had overlaid Hezekiah [the] king of Judah and he gave them to [the] king of Assyria.
17 Apan gipangtawag sa hari sa Asiria ang iyang daghang kasundalohan, gipadala si Tartan ug si Rabsaris ug ang pangulo sa kasundalohan nga gikan sa Lakis ngadto kang Haring Hezekia sa Jerusalem. Mitungas sila ngadto sa kadalanan ug miabot gawas sa Jerusalem. Miabot sila sa tubo sa tubig nga paingon sa tigomanan sa tubig sa ibabaw, didto sa dalan sa dapit nga labhanan, ug mitindog sa kilid niini.
And he sent [the] king of Assyria [the] commander in chief and [the] chief court-official - and [the] chief commander from Lachish to the king Hezekiah with an army massive Jerusalem and they went up and they came Jerusalem and they went up and they came and they stood at [the] conduit of the pool upper which [is] on [the] highway of [the] field of [the] washer.
18 Sa dihang gitawag nila si Haring Hezekia, migawas si Eliakim nga anak nga lalaki ni Hilkia, nga nagdumala sa panimalay, ug si Shebna nga escriba, ug si Joa nga anak nga lalaki ni Asaf, ang tiglista, migawas aron paghimamat kanila.
And they called out to the king and he went out to them Eliakim [the] son of Hilkiah who [was] over the house and Shebna the scribe and Joah [the] son of Asaph the recorder.
19 Busa giingnan sila sa pangulo sa kasundalohan nga sultihan si Hezekia kung unsa ang gisulti sa bantogan nga hari, ang hari sa Asiria, nga miingon: “Unsa man ang gigikanan sa imong pagsalig?
And he said to them [the] chief commander say please to Hezekiah thus he says the king great [the] king of Assyria what? [is] the trust this which you trust.
20 Nagsulti ka lamang ug walay pulos nga mga pulong, nga nagsulti nga adunay mga kadapig ug kusog alang sa gubat. Karon kinsa man ang imong gisaligan? Kinsa man ang naghatag kanimo ug kaisog aron sa pagpakigbatok kanako?
You have said only a word of lips counsel and strength for war now on whom? do you rely that you have rebelled against me.
21 Tan-awa, nagsalig ka sa sungkod niining makasamad nga bagakay sa Ehipto, apan kung ang tawo mosalig niini, makatuslok kini ngadto sa iyang kamot ug makasamad kini. Mahisama niana ang si bisan kinsa nga mosalig kang Faraon nga hari sa Ehipto.
Now there! you rely yourself on [the] staff of reed crushed this on Egypt which he will support himself anyone on it and it will go in palm his and it will pierce it [is] thus Pharaoh [the] king of Egypt to all those [who] rely on him.
22 Apan kung moingon ka kanako, 'Nagasalig kami kang Yahweh nga among Dios,' dili ba siya man mismo ang anaa sa taas nga mga dapit ug sa mga halaran nga gipangkuha ni Hezekia, ug miingon ngadto sa Juda ug sa Jerusalem, 'Kinahanglan nga mosimba kamo sa atubangan niini nga halaran sa Jerusalem'?
And if you will say! to me to Yahweh God our we trust ¿ not [is] he [the one] whom he has removed Hezekiah high places his and altars his and he has said to Judah and to Jerusalem before the altar this you will bow down in Jerusalem.
23 Busa karon, buot ko nga maghatag kanimo ug maayong tanyag gikan sa akong agalon ang hari sa Asiria. Hatagan ko ikaw ug 2, 000 ka mga kabayo, kung makakaplag ka ug mangabayo niini.
And therefore make a wager please with master my with [the] king of Assyria and let me give to you two thousand horses if you will be able to put yourself riders on them.
24 Unsaon man nimo pagsukol sa bisan usa lang ka kapitan sa labing ubos nga mga sulugoon sa akong agalon? Nagsalig ka sa Ehipto alang sa mga karwahe ug nagkabayo nga kalalakin-an!
And how? will you turn back [the] face of [the] governor one of [the] servants of master my small and you have been relying yourself on Egypt for chariotry and for horsemen.
25 Mopanaw ba ako dinhi kung dili makig-away si Yahweh batok niining dapita ug laglagon kini? Miingon si Yahweh kanako, 'Sulonga kining yutaa ug laglaga kini.'”
Now ¿ from without Yahweh have I come up on the place this to destroy it Yahweh he said to me go up on the land this and destroy it.
26 Unya miingon si Eliakim nga anak nga lalaki ni Hilkia, ug si Shebna, ug si Joa ngadto sa pangulo sa kasundalohan, “Palihog pakigsulti sa imong mga sulugoon sa Aramaico nga pinulongan, kay makasabot kami niini. Ayaw pakigsulti kanamo sa pinulongan sa Juda kay madunggan sa katawhan nga anaa sa paril.”
And he said Eliakim [the] son of Hilkiah and Shebna and Joah to [the] chief commander speak please to servants your Aramaic for [are] understanding we and may not you speak with us [in] Judean in [the] ears of the people which [is] on the wall.
27 Apan miingon ang pangulo sa kasundalohan kanila, “Gipadala ba ako sa akong agalon ngadto sa inyong agalon ug diha kaninyo aron sa pagsulti niining mga pulonga? Wala ba niya ako gipadala ngadto sa kalalakin-an nga naglingkod sa paril, nga magakaon sa kaugalingon nga hugaw ug moinom sa ilang kaugalingon nga ihi uban kanimo?”
And he said to them [the] chief commander ¿ to master your and to you has he sent me master my to speak the words these ¿ not to the men who are sitting on the wall to eat (own excrement their *Q(K)*) and to drink ([the] water of feet their *Q(K)*) with you.
28 Unya mitindog ang pangulo sa kasundalohan ug misinggit sa makusog nga tingog sa Judio nga pinulongan, nga nag-ingon, “Paminawa ang pulong sa bantogan nga hari, ang hari sa Asiria.
And he stood [the] chief commander and he called out with a voice great [in] Judean and he spoke and he said hear [the] word of the king great [the] king of Assyria.
29 Miingon ang hari, 'Ayaw tugoti nga limbongan kamo ni Hezekia, kay dili siya makahimo sa pagluwas kaninyo gikan sa akong gahom.
Thus he says the king may not he deceive you Hezekiah for not he will be able to deliver you from hand his.
30 Ayaw tugoti si Hezekia nga ipasalig kamo kang Yahweh, nga moingon, “Pagaluwason gayod kita ni Yahweh, ug kining siyudara wala gihatag ngadto sa kamot sa hari sa Asiria.'”
And may not he make trust you Hezekiah to Yahweh saying certainly he will deliver us Yahweh and not it will be given the city this in [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria.
31 Ayaw paminaw kang Hezekia, kay mao kini ang giingon sa hari sa Asiria: 'Pakighigala kanako ug umari kanako. Unya ang matag usa kaninyo mokaon gikan sa iyang kaugalingon nga paras ug gikan sa iyang kaugalingon nga kahoy sa igera, ug moinom gikan sa tubig sa iyang kaugalingon nga atabay.
May not you listen to Hezekiah for thus he says [the] king of Assyria make with me a blessing and come out to me and eat everyone own vine his and everyone own fig tree his and drink everyone [the] water of own cistern his.
32 Pagabuhaton ninyo kini hangtod nga moabot ako ug dad-on kamo ngadto sa yuta ingon nga inyong kaugalingon nga yuta, ang yuta sa trigo ug bag-o nga bino, ang yuta sa tinapay ug kaparasan, ang yuta sa olibo nga mga kahoy ug ang dugos, aron nga mabuhi kamo ug dili mamatay.' Sa dihang mosulay sa pagdani si Hezekia kaninyo ayaw kamo ug paminaw kaniya, nga moingon, 'Pagaluwason kita ni Yahweh.'
Until come I and I will take you to a land like own land your a land of grain and new wine a land of bread and vineyards a land of olive tree of fresh oil and honey and live and not you will die and may not you listen to Hezekiah for he misleads you saying Yahweh he will deliver us.
33 Aduna bay mga dios sa katawhan nga mitabang kanila gikan sa kamot sa hari sa Asiria?
¿ Really have they delivered [the] gods of the nations anyone land its from [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria.
34 Diin man ang mga dios ni Hamat ug ni Arpad? Diin man ang mga dios ni Sefarvaim, Hena, ug Iva? Giluwas ba nila ang Samaria gikan sa akong kamot?
Where? [were] [the] gods of Hamath and Arpad where? [were] [the] gods of Sepharvaim Hena and Ivvah that they have delivered Samaria from hand my.
35 Taliwala sa mga dios sa kayutaan, aduna bay dios nga niluwas sa iyang yuta gikan sa akong gahom? Unsaon man pagluwas ni Yahweh ang Jerusalem gikan sa akong gahom?”
Who? among all [the] gods of the lands [are those] which they have delivered land their from hand my that he will deliver Yahweh Jerusalem from hand my.
36 Apan nagpabilin nga hilom ang katawhan ug wala mitubag, kay nagmando ang hari nga, “Ayaw siyag tubaga.”
And they kept silent the people and not they answered him anything for [was] [the] command of the king it saying not you must answer him.
37 Unya si Eliakim nga anak nga lalaki ni Hilkia, nganagdumala sa panimalay; si Shebna nga escriba; ug si Joa nga anak nga lalaki ni Asaf, ang tigsulat, miadto kang Hezekia uban sa gisi nila nga mga bisti, ug gisugilon ngadto kaniya ang mga pulong sa pangulo sa kasundalohan.
And he went Eliakim [the] son of Hilkiah who [was] over the house and Shebna the scribe and Joah [the] son of Asaph the recorder to Hezekiah torn of clothes and they told to him [the] words of [the] chief commander.
