1 Timoteo 4
1 Karon claro nga nag-ingon ang Espiritu nga sa kaulahiang mga adlaw ang ubang mga tawo mobiya sa ilang pagtuo ug maminaw sila sa mga limbonganong espiritu ug mga pagtulon-an sa mga demonyo

6 Kung kaning mga butanga ipahinumdom nimo sa mga kaigsoonan, mahimo kang maayong alagad ni Jesu Cristo tungod kay ikaw gimatuto pinaagi sa mga pulong sa pagtuo ug sa maayong pagtulun-an nga imong gisunod.
By pointing out these things to the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished by the words of faith and sound instruction that you have followed.
7 Apan ayaw dawata ang malaw-ay nga mga storya nga ganahan sa mga tigulang nga mga babaye, apan bansaya imong kaugalingon sa kinabuhing diosnon.
But reject irreverent, silly myths. Instead, train yourself for godliness.
8 Kay ang pagbansay sa lawas gamay lang ang iyang pagkamapuslanon, apan ang kinabuhi nga diosnon adunay kapuslanan sa tanang butang ug adunay saad niining kanabuhi karon ug sa kinabuhi nga umaabot.
For physical exercise is of limited value, but godliness is valuable in every way, holding promise for the present life and for the one to come.
9 Kini nga mensahe masaligan ug angayan nga dawaton pag-ayo.
This is a trustworthy saying, worthy of full acceptance.
10 Kay tungod niini makigbisog kita ug nagtrabaho kaayo, tungod kay aduna kita'y pagsalig sa buhing Dios, nga manluluwas sa tanang tawo, labi na sa mga tumutuo.
To this end we labor and strive, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of everyone, and especially of those who believe.
11 Ipahibalo ug itudlo kini nga mga butanga.
Command and teach these things.
12 Ayaw itugot nga tamayon ka tungod sa imong pagkabatan-on, apan hinuon, himoa ang imong kaugalingon nga ehemplo sa pagtuo pinaagi sa imong mga pulong, batasan, gugma, pagtuo ug pagkaputli.
Let no one despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
13 Hangtod dili pa ako moanha, atimana ang pag-basa, pag-awhag ug pagtudlo.
Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, and to teaching.
14 Ayaw pasagdi ang gasa nga anaa kanimo, nga gihatag sa imo pinaagi sa propesiya, sa pagpandong sa kamot sa mga pangulo sa iglesia kanimo.
Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given you through the prophecy spoken over you at the laying on of the hands of the elders.
15 Atimana kining mga butanga, magkinabuhi pinaagi aning mga butanga, aron makita sa tanang mga tawo ang imong kauswagan.
Be diligent in these matters and absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all.
16 Bantayi pag-ayo imong kaugalingon ug ang mga pagtulon-an. Pagpadayon aning mga butanga tungod kay sa pagbuhat nimo niini maluwas nimo ang imong kaugalingon ug kadtong naminaw kanimo.
Pay close attention to your life and to your teaching. Persevere in these things, for by so doing you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
