1 Tesalonica 4
1 Sa katapusan, mga igsoon, gidasig ug giawhag kamo namo diha sa Ginoong Jesus, nga sama sa inyong pagdawat sa mga katudloan gikan kanamo mahitungod sa pagkinabuhi ninyo ug pagpahalipay sa Dios, sama sa inyo nang gibuhat—mas buhaton pa unta ninyo kini.
And furthermore we beseeche you, brethren, and exhort you in the Lord Iesus, that ye increase more and more, as ye haue receiued of vs, how ye ought to walke, and to please God.
2 Kay nakahibalo kamo sa katudloan nga among gihatag kaninyo pinaagi sa Ginoong Jesus.
For ye knowe what commandements we gaue you by the Lord Iesus.
3 Mao kini ang kabubut-on sa Dios, nga magpakabalaan kamo—diin nga likayan ninyo ang lawasnong imoralidad,
For this is the will of God euen your sanctification, and that ye should abstaine from fornication,
4 aron matag usa kaninyo makahibalo kung unsaon pagpakighiusa sa iyang kaugalingong asawa sa pagkabalaan ug pagtahod,
That euery one of you should know, how to possesse his vessell in holines and honour,
5 dili sa lawasnon nga mga pagbati (sama sa mga Gentil nga wala kaila sa Dios),
And not in the lust of concupiscence, euen as the Gentiles which know not God:
6 ug aron walay tawo nga makalapas ug makabuhat ug sayop sa iyang igsoon mahitungod niini nga butang, tungod kay ang Ginoo ang mobalos sa tanan aning mga butanga, sama sa among gipahimangno ug gisaksi kaninyo.
That no man oppresse or defraude his brother in any matter: for the Lord is auenger of all such thinges, as we also haue tolde you before time, and testified.
7 Kay wala kita gitawag sa Dios sa kahugaw, apan ngadto sa pagkabalaan.
For God hath not called vs vnto vncleannesse, but vnto holinesse.
8 Busa, ang mosalikway niini wala nagsalikway sa tawo, kondili sa Dios, nga naghatag sa iyang Balaang Espiritu kaninyo.
Hee therefore that despiseth these thinges, despiseth not man, but God who hath euen giuen you his holy Spirit.
9 Bahin sa paghigugma nga inigsoonay dili na kinahanglan nga aduna pay mosulat kaninyo, kay kamo mismo gitudluan sa Dios nga maghigugmaay sa usa'g usa.
But as touching brotherly loue, ye neede not that I write vnto you: for ye are taught of God to loue one another.
10 Gani, gibuhat na ninyo kini sa tanang mga kaigsoonan sa tibuok Masedonia, apan gi-awhag kamo namo, mga igsoon, nga mas buhaton pa ninyo kini.
Yea, and that thing verily yee doe vnto all the brethren, which are throughout all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more,
11 Giawhag sad kamo namo nga maningkamot kamo nga maghinilum, dili manghilabot sa uban, ug magkinabuhi sa inyong kaugalingonh mga kamot, sama sa among gisugo ninyo.
And that ye studie to be quiet, and to meddle with your owne busines, and to worke with your owne handes, as we commanded you,
12 Buhata kini aron magmaayo ang inyong pamatasan nga adunay respito sa mga wala pa sa pagtuo, ug aron wala kamoy kinahanglanon.
That yee may behaue your selues honestly towarde them that are without, and that nothing be lacking vnto you.
13 Dili namo buot nga masayop kamo sa pagsabot, mga igsoon, mahitungod sa mga nangatulog, aron dili kamo maguol pag-ayo sama sa uban nga walay kasigurohan sa kaugmaon.
I would not, brethren, haue you ignorant concerning them which are a sleepe, that ye sorow not euen as other which haue no hope.
14 Kay kung mituo kita nga si Jesus namatay ug nabanhaw, mao sad nga ang Dios ikuyog niya kang Jesus kadtong diha kaniya nga mga nakatulog.
For if we beleeue that Iesus is dead, and is risen, euen so them which sleepe in Iesus, will God bring with him.
15 Kay kini gisulti namo pinaagi sa pulong sa Ginoo, nga kitang mga buhi, mga nahabilin inig balik sa Ginoo, sigurado nga dili kita mag-una sa mga nakatulog.
For this say we vnto you by the worde of the Lord, that we which liue, and are remayning in the comming of the Lord, shall not preuent them which sleepe.
16 Tungod kay ang Ginoo mismo monaog gikan sa langit, nga adunay magsinggit, nga adunay tingog sa arkanghel, ug adunay trumpeta sa Dios, ug ang mga patay diha kang Cristo mouna sa pagkabanhaw.
For the Lord himselfe shall descende from heauen with a shoute, and with the voyce of the Archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Unya kitang mga buhi, nga mga nahabilin, modungan kanila nga isaka sa mga panganod aron tagbuon ang Ginoo sa langit, ug unya kita kanunay nang uban sa Ginoo.
Then shall we which liue and remaine, be caught vp with them also in the clouds, to meete the Lord in the ayre: and so shall we euer be with the Lord.
18 Busa, hupaya ninyo ang usa'g usa niini nga mga pulong.
Wherefore, comfort your selues one another with these wordes.
