1 Miingon si Haring David sa tibuok tigom sa katawhan, “Solomon akong anak, nga maoy gipili sa Dios, nga batan-on pa ug walay kasinatian, ug dako ang katungdanan. Kay ang templo dili alang sa katawhan apan alang kang Yahweh nga Dios.
Then said David the king unto all the convocation, Solomon my son, the one, of whom God hath made choice, is young and tender, —and, the work, is great, seeing that, not for man, is the palace, but for Yahweh Elohim.
2 Busa gibuhat ko ang kutob sa akong mahimo aron ipatagbo ang gikinahanglan alang sa templo sa akong Dios. Maghatag ako ug bulawan alang sa mga butang nga himoon sa bulawan, plata alang sa mga butang nga himoon sa plata, bronse alang sa mga butang nga himoon sa bronse, puthaw alang sa mga butang nga himoon sa puthaw, ug kahoy alang sa mga butang nga himoon sa kahoy. Maghatag usab ako ug onyx nga mga bato, mga bato nga idayandayan, mga bato nga adunay nagkalainlaing mga kolor—tanang matang sa bililhong mga bato— ug daghan pang marbol nga mga bato.
And, with all my might, have I made preparation for the house of my God, the gold for the gold, and the silver for the silver, and the bronze for the bronze, the iron for the iron, and the wood for the wood, —and beryl stones and settings, stones coloured and particoloured, and all manner of precious stones and stones of white marble, in abundance.
3 Karon, tungod kay nahimuot man ako sa puluy-anan sa akong Dios, ihatag ko ang kaugalingon kong mga bahandi nga bulawan ug plata alang niini. Gibuhat ko kini aron idugang sa tanan nga akong giandam alang niining balaang templo:
And yet further, because of my delighting in the house of my God, having a treasure of mine own in gold and silver, I have given for the house of my God, above and beyond all that I have prepared for the holy house:
4 3, 000 ka talent sa bulawan gikan sa Ophir, ug 7, 000 ka talent sa lunsay nga plata, aron ibutang sa mga paril sa mga gambalay.
three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, —and seven thousand talents of refined silver, for overlaying the walls of the recesses.
5 Maghatag ako ug bulawan alang sa mga butang nga himoon sa bulawan, ug plata alang sa mga butang nga himoon sa plata, ug mga butang alang sa tanang matang sa buluhaton nga himoon sa mga hanas nga trabahante. Kinsa pa man ang buot maghatag ngadto kang Yahweh ug ihatag ang iyang kaugalingon ngadto kaniya?”
Of gold for the gold, and of silver for the silver, and for all manner of work in the hand of artificers, —Who then is ready to offer willingly, by filling his hand to-day, unto Yahweh?
6 Unya naghimo ug kinabubut-ong mga halad ang mga pangulo sa ilang mga pamilya nga katigulangan, ang mga pangulo sa mga tribo sa Israel, ang mga komandante sa liboan ug gatosan, ug ang mga opisyal nga nagdumala sa buluhaton sa hari.
Then offered they willingly—the ancestral rulers and the rulers of the tribes of Israel, and the rulers of thousands and hundreds, even to the rulers of the work of the king;
7 Naghatag sila ug 5, 000 ka talent ug 10, 000 ka darics sa bulawan, 10, 000 ka talent sa plata, 18, 000 ka talent sa plata, ug 100, 000 ka talent sa puthaw alang sa buluhaton sa puluy-anan sa Dios.
and gave for the service of the house of God, of gold, five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and, of silver, ten thousand talents, and, of bronze, eighteen thousand talents, —and, of iron, one hundred thousand talents.
8 Kadtong adunay bililhong mga bato ilang gihatag ngadto sa tipiganan sa puluy-anan ni Yahweh, ilalom sa pagdumala ni Jehiel, nga kaliwat ni Gershon.
And, every one with whom were found precious stones, gave to the treasure of the house of Yahweh, —unto the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.
9 Nagmalipayon ang katawhan tungod niining kinabubut-ong mga halad, tungod kay naghatag man sila sa tibuok nilang kasingkasing ngadto kang Yahweh. Nagmalipayon usab pag-ayo si David.
So the people rejoiced because they willingly offered, for, with a perfect heart, offered they willingly unto Yahweh, —moreover also, David the king, rejoiced with great joy.
10 Gidayeg ni David si Yahweh atubangan sa tanang tigom sa katawhan. Miingon siya, “Hinaot nga pagadayegon ka hangtod sa kahangtoran, Yahweh, ang Dios sa Israel sa among katigulangan.
Therefore did David bless Yahweh in the eyes of all the convocation, —and David said, Blessed art thou, O Yahweh, the God of Israel our father, from age even unto age.
11 Kanimo, Yahweh, ang kadungganan, ang gahom, ang himaya, ang kadaogan, ug ang kahalangdon. Kay imo man ang tanan sa kalangitan ug sa kalibotan. Imo ang gingharian, Yahweh, ug pasidunggan ka ingon nga magmamando sa tanan.
Thine, O Yahweh, are Greatness, and Might, and Beauty, and Victory, and Majesty, nay! all in the heavens and in the earth, —thine, O Yahweh, is the kingdom, who art exalted above all, —as chief;
12 Ang kadagaya ug kadungganan naggikan kanimo, ug nagmando ka sa tanang katawhan. Sa imong mga kamot adunay gahom ug kusog. Kusgan ka ug bantogan nga makahimo nga bantogan sa katawhan ug maghatag ug kusog kang bisan kinsa.
and, riches and honour, are from before thee, and, thou, art ruling over all, and, in thy hand, are power and might, —and, in thy hand, it is, to give greatness and strength unto any.
13 Busa karon, among Dios, nagpasalamat kami kanimo ug nagdayeg sa mahimayaon nimong ngalan.
Now, therefore, O our God, we are giving thanks unto thee, —and offering praise, unto thy beautiful Name.
14 Apan kinsa man ako, ug kining akong katawhan, nga makahimo sa kinabubut-ong paghalad niining mga butanga? Sa pagkatinuod, kining tanang mga butanga naggikan kanimo, ug gibalik lamang namo paghatag diha kanimo kung unsa ang imo.
And yet, who am, I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer willingly like this? for, from thee, is the whole, and, out of thine own hand, have we given unto thee;
15 Sanglit mga langyaw ug dumuduong lamang kami sa imong atubangan, sama sa tanan namong mga katigulangan. Ang among mga adlaw sa kalibotan sama sa anino, ug walay mahibilin nga paglaom dinhi.
for, sojourners, are we before thee, and strangers, like all our fathers, —like a shadow, are our days upon the earth, and there is no hope.
16 Yahweh nga among Dios, kining tanang bahandi nga among natigom alang sa pagtukod sa templo aron sa pagpasidungog sa balaan mong ngalan—naggikan kini kanimo ug imo man kini.
O Yahweh our God, all this abundance which we have prepared, to build thee a house for thy holy Name, out of thine own hand, it is, and, thine, is the whole.
17 Nasayod usab ako, akong Dios, nga gisusi mo ang kasingkasing ug nahimuot ka sa matarong. Alang kanako, kinabubut-on kong gihalad kining tanang mga butanga uban sa matarong kong kasingkasing, ug karon nalipay ako sama sa imong katawhan nga ania karon nga kinabubut-ong naghalad ug mga gasa diha kanimo.
But I know, O my God, that, thou, art proving the heart, and, with uprightness, wilt thou be pleased, —I, in the uprightness of my heart, have willingly offered all these things, now, therefore, thy people who are found here, have I seen with joy, offering willingly unto thee.
18 Yahweh, ang Dios ni Abraham, ni Isaac, ug ni Israel—nga among mga katigulangan—itisok kini sa mga hunahuna sa imong katawhan hangtod sa kahangtoran. Giyahi ang ilang mga kasingkasing nganha kanimo.
O Yahweh, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, oh guard this age-abidingly, as the devised purpose of the heart of thy people, —and establish thou their heart, unto thyself.
19 Hatagi ang akong anak nga lalaki nga si Solomon ug kinasingkasing nga magtinguha sa pagtuman sa imong mga mando, sa imong mga kasugoan sa kasabotan, ug sa imong mga balaod, ug ipahimutang kining tanan nga mga plano aron matukod ang palasyo nga akong gipatagboan.”
Also, unto Solomon my son, give thou an undivided heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, —to do the whole, and to build the palace for which I have prepared.
20 Miingon si David ngadto sa tanang tigom sa katawhan, “Karon dayega si Yahweh nga inyong Dios.” Nagdayeg ang tanang tigom sa katawhan ngadto kang Yahweh, ang Dios sa ilang mga katigulangan, nangyukbo ug nagsimba kang Yahweh ug nanghapa sila atubangan sa hari.
Then said David, unto all the convocation, Bless, I beseech you, Yahweh your God. So all the convocation blessed Yahweh, the God of their fathers, and did bend their heads and bow themselves down unto Yahweh, and unto the king;
21 Sa pagkasunod adlaw, naghimo sila ug mga halad sakripisyo ngadto kang Yahweh ug naghalad ug halad sinunog alang kaniya. Naghalad sila ug liboan ka mga torong baka, liboan ka mga torong karnero, ug liboan ka mga nating karnero, lakip ang ilang mga halad ilimnon ug madagayaon nga mga halad sakripisyo alang sa tibuok Israel.
and sacrificed unto Yahweh sacrifices, and caused to go up ascending-offerings unto Yahweh, on the morrow of that day, a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, a thousand young sheep, and the drink-offerings thereof, —and sacrifices in abundance, for all Israel.
22 Nianang adlawa, nagkaon ug nag-inom sila sa atubangan ni Yahweh uban sa dakong kasaulogan. Gihimo nilang hari sa ikaduhang higayon si Solomon, ang anak nga lalaki ni David, ug gidihogan siya nga mahimong magmamando pinaagi sa katungod ni Yahweh. Gidihogan usab nila si Zadok nga mahimong pari.
And so they did eat and drink before Yahweh on that day, with great joy, —and they, the second time, made Solomon son of David king, and anointed him unto Yahweh to be chief ruler, and Zadok to be priest.
23 Unya milingkod si Solomon sa trono ni Yahweh ingon nga hari imbes nga si David nga iyang amahan. Nagmauswagon siya, ug ang tanan sa Israel nagtuman kaniya.
So Solomon took his seat upon the throne of Yahweh, as king, instead of David his father, and prospered, —and all Israel, hearkened unto him.
24 Nagmatinud-anon kang Haring Solomon ang tanang mga pangulo, mga sundalo, ug ang mga anak nga lalaki ni David.
And, all the rulers, and the heroes, yea moreover all the sons of King David, gave a hand, under Solomon the king.
25 Gipasidunggan pag-ayo ni Yahweh si Solomon atubangan sa tibuok Israel ug gigamhan siya labaw pa sa ubang mga hari sa Israel nga nahauna kaniya.
And Yahweh magnified Solomon, exceedingly, before the eyes of all Israel, —and gave unto him a royal majesty, that had not been on any king before him, over Israel.
26 Naghari si David ang anak nga lalaki ni Jesse sa tibuok Israel.
Thus, David son of Jesse, reigned over all Israel;
27 Nahimong hari si David sulod sa 40 ka tuig. Nagmando siya sulod sa pito ka tuig sa Hebron ug 33 ka tuig sa Jerusalem.
and, the days that he reigned over Israel, were forty years, —in Hebron reigned he seven years, and in Jerusalem, reigned he, thirty-three.
28 Namatay siya sa maayong katigulangon, human sa malipayong taas nga pagkinabuhi, bahandi ug kadungganan. Si Solomon nga iyang anak maoy nagpanunod kaniya.
And he died in a good old age, satisfied with days, riches and honour, —and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.
29 Nahisulat sa kasaysayan ni Samuel nga usa ka propeta ang mga kadaogan ni Haring David, sa kasaysayan ni Nathan nga usa ka propeta, ug sa kasaysayan ni Gad nga usa ka propeta.
Now, the acts of David the king, first and last, behold them! written in the records of Samuel the seer, and in the records of Nathan the prophet, and in the records of Gad the seer:
30 Nalista didto ang mga binuhatan sa iyang pagdumala, ang iyang mga nabuhat ug ang mga panghitabo nga iyang nasinatian, sa Israel, ug sa tanang mga gingharian sa ubang kayutaan.
with all his reign, and his might, —and the times which passed over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the lands.
