1 Cronicas 24
1 Mao kini ang pundok sa mga magbubuhat gikan sa mga kaliwat ni Aaron: si Nadab, si Abihu, si Eleazar ug si Itamar.
These are the groups of the descendants of Aaron [the first Supreme Priest]: Aaron’s four sons were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2 Namatay si Nadab ug si Abihu sa wala pa namatay ang ilang amahan. Wala silay mga anak, busa nag-alagad si Eleazar ug si Itamar ingon nga mga pari.
But Nadab and Abihu died before their father died, and they had no children. So their [younger] brothers Eleazar and Ithamar became the priests.
3 Si David, uban kang Zadok, nga kaliwat ni Eleazar ug ni Ahimelec, nga kaliwat ni Itamar, gibahin sila ngadto sa mga pundok alang sa ilang mga gimbuhaton ingon nga mga pari.
Zadok, who was a descendant of Eleazar, and Ahimelech, who was a descendant of Ithamar, helped David to separate his descendants into two groups. Each group had certain duties.
4 Daghan ang nangulo nga kalalakin-an sa mga kaliwat ni Eleazar kaysa mga kaliwat ni Itamar, busa gibahin nila ang mga kaliwat ni Eleazar ngadto sa 16 ka pundok. Gibuhat nila kini pinaagi sa mga pangulo sa mga banay ug pinaagi sa mga kaliwat ni Itamar. Walo ka bahin kining pundok sumala sa ilang banay.
There were more leaders among the descendants of Eleazar than there were among the descendants of Ithamar. So they appointed 16 leaders from Eleazar’s descendants and eight leaders from Ithamar’s descendants.
5 Gibahin nila sila nga walay pinalabi pinaagi sa pagripa, kay sila ang mga balaang opisyal ug mga opisyal sa Dios, gikan sa mga kaliwat ni Eleazar ug sa mga kaliwat ni Itamar.
There were temple officials and priests, including descendants of both Eleazar and Ithamar, to make sure that the work was divided fairly. So they decided what work each person would do by (casting lots/throwing marked stones).

Shemaiah, the son of Nethanel, who was a descendant of Levi, wrote down the names [of the leaders of each group] while David and his officials were watching. Zadok, the [Supreme] Priest, and Ahimelech [his assistant], and the leaders of the families of the priests and of the families of the other descendants of Levi also watched.
7 Ang unang napilian sa pagripa mao si Jehoyarib, ang ikaduha mao si Jedaya,
Jehoiarib was the first one whose name was selected [by casting lots/throwing marked stones]. Next Jedaiah was selected.
8 Ang ikatulo mao si Harim, ang ikaupat mao si Seorim,
Next, Harim was selected. Next, Seorim was selected.
9 ang ikalima mao si Malkia, ang ikaunom mao si Miamin,
Next, Malkijah was selected. Next, Mijamin was selected.
10 ang ikapito mao si Hakoz, ang ikawalo mao si Abija,
Next, Hakkoz was selected. Next, Abijah was selected.
11 Ang ikasiyam mao si Josue, ang ikapulo mao si Shecania,
Next, Jeshua was selected. Next, Shecaniah was selected.
12 ang ika-napulo ug usa mao si Eliashib, ang ika-napulo ug duha mao si Jakim,
Next, Eliashib was selected. Next, Jakim was selected.

14 ang ika-15 mao si Bilga, ang ika-16 mao si Imer,
Next, Bilgah was selected. Next, Immer was selected.
15 Ang ika-17 mao si Hazir, ang ika-18 mao si Happizez,
Next, Hezir was selected. Next, Happizzez was selected.
16 ang ika-19 mao si Petahia, ang ika-20 mao si Jehezkel,
Next, Pethahiah was selected. Next, Jehezkel was selected.
17 ang ika-21 mao si Jakin, ang ika-22 mao si Gamul,
Next, Jakin was selected. Next, Gamul was selected.
18 ang ika-23 mao si Delaya, ug ang ika-24 mao si Maazia.
Next, Delaiah was selected. Next, Maaziah was selected.
19 Mao kini ang paagi sa ilang pag-alagad, sa dihang moadto sila sa balay ni Yahweh, subay sa paagi nga gihatag kanila pinaagi ni Aaron nga ilang katigulangan, sumala sa gisulti ni Yahweh kaniya ang Dios sa Israel.
Those were the men who were chosen to be the leaders of the groups that would serve in the temple, obeying the regulations that were set down by Aaron, regulations which Yahweh, the God to whom the Israeli people belonged, had given to him.
20 Mao kini ang kaliwat ni Levi: ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Amram, ni Shebuel; mga anak nga lalaki Shebael, si Jedea.
[This is a list of some of] the other descendants of Levi: Amram was the ancestor of Shubael and Jehdeiah.
21 Ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Rehabia,
Rehabiah was the ancestor of Isshiah, the oldest son in his family.
22 mga anak nga lalaki ni Rehabia, ni Ishia ang pangulo. Si Izhar, si Shelomot; ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Shelomot, Jahar.
Izhar was the father of Shelomoth and the grandfather of Jahath.
23 Ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Hebron: si Jeria ang pangulo, ang ikaduha mao si Amaria, ang ikatulo mao si Jahaziel, ug ang ikaupat mao si Jekameam.
[Kohath’s son] Hebron had four sons: Jeriah and his [younger] brothers Amariah, Jahaziel, and Jekameam.
24 Ang mga anak nga lalaki sa mga kaliwat ni Uziel lakip na si Mica. Ang mga kaliwat ni Mica lakip si Shamir.
Uzziel was the father of Micah and the grandfather of Shamir.
25 Ang igsoon nga lalaki ni Mica mao si Ishia. Ang iyang mga anak nga lalaki lakip na si Zacarias
Micah’s [younger] brother was the father of Zechariah.
26 Ang anak nga lalaki ni Merari: si Mali ug si Mushi. Ang anak nga lalaki ni Jaazia, si Beno.
The sons of Merari were Mahli, Mushi, and Jaaziah.
27 Ang anak nga lalaki ni Merari: si Jaazia, si Beno, si Shoham, si Zacur, ug si Ibri.
Jaaziah had four sons: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.
28 Ang anak nga lalaki ni Mahil: si Eleazar, nga walay mga anak nga lalaki.
Mahli’s son Eleazar did not have any sons.
29 Ang anak nga lalaki ni Kis, mao si Jerameel
From the descendants of [Mahli’s second son] there was Jerahmeel.
30 ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Mushi: mao si Mali, si Eder, ug si Jerimot. Kini sila ang mga Levita, nga nalista pinaagi sa ilang mga pamilya.
The sons of Mushi were Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. Those were descendants of Levi who were listed according to the leaders of their families.
31 Mao kini ang kalalakin-an nga pangulo sa balay sa ilang mga amahan ug sa matag usa sa ilang kamanghorang lalaki, mao ang napili pinaagi sa pagripa sa presensya ni Haring David, ug ni Zadok ug ni Ahimelec, uban sa mga pangulo sa mga pamilya sa mga pari ug sa mga Levita. Nagripa sila sama sa gibuhat sa mga kaliwat ni Aaron.
The jobs they would do were decided by (casting lots/throwing marked stones), like their fellow Israelis, the descendants of Aaron, did. They cast lots {The lots were cast} while King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the leaders of the families of the priests and the [other] descendants of Levi watched. They gave the same jobs to the families of each oldest brother and each youngest brother.
