1 Cronicas 23
1 Sa dihang tigulang na si David, ug hapit na siya mamatay, gihimo niyang hari ang iyang anak nga si Solomon sa tibuok Israel.
And when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
2 Gitigom niya ang tanang mga pangulo sa Israel, lakip ang mga pari ug mga Levita.
And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.
3 Giihap ang mga Levita nga nagpangidaron ug 30 ka tuig pataas. Ang ilang gidaghanon mokabat ug 38, 000.
And then were numbered the Levites from thirty years old and upward: and their number by their polls, of men, was thirty and eight thousand.
4 Miingon si David niining 24, 000 nga mao ang magdumala sa tibuok buluhaton sa templo ni Yahweh, ug ang 6, 000 mao ang mga opisyal ug mga maghuhukom.
Of these were twenty and four thousand to superintend the work of the house of the Lord; and six thousand were officers and judges;
5 Ang 4, 000 mao ang magbalantay sa mga ganghaan ug ang laing 4, 000 mao ang magdayeg kang Yahweh uban ang mga tulunggon nga akong gibuhat aron sa pagdayeg,”
And four thousand were gatekeepers: and four thousand those who praised the Lord with the instruments which I have made, to praise therewith.
6 Gibahin niya sila sa mga pundok sumala sa mga anak nga lalaki ni Levi: si Gershon, si Kohat ug si Merari.
And David divided them into divisions after the sons of Levi, after Gershon, Kehath, and Merari.
7 Gikan sa mga banay nga kaliwat ni Gershon, anaa si Ladan ug si Shemei.
Of the Gershunites: La'dan, and Shim'i.
8 Adunay tulo ka mga anak nga lalaki si Ladan: nga mao sila si Jeheil ang pangulo, si Zetam ug si Joel.
The sons of La'dan: The chief was Jechiel, and Zetham, and Joel, three.
9 Adunay tulo ka mga anak nga lalaki ni Shimei: nga mao sila si Selomot, si Haziel, ug si Haran. Mao kini ang mga pangulo sa banay ni Ladan.
The sons of Shim'i: Shelomith, and Chaziel, and Haran, three. These were the chiefs of the families of La'dan.
10 Adunay upat ka mga anak nga lalaki si Shimei: nga mao sila si Jahath, si Ziza, si Jeush, ug si Beriah.
And the sons of Shim'i were, Jachath, Zina, and Je'ush, and Beri'ah. These four were the sons of Shim'i.
11 Si Jahat mao ang kamagulangan, ug ang ikaduha mao si Ziza, apan si Jeush ug si Beria walay mga anak nga lalaki, busa giisip sila nga usa lamang ka banay nga adunay samang mga buluhaton.
And Jachath was the chief, and Zizah the second; but Je'ush and Beri'ah had not many sons: therefore were they accounted as one family division in the numbering.
12 Adunay upat ka mga anak nga lalaki si Kohat nga mao sila si Amram, si Izhar, si Hebron, ug si Uzziel.
The sons of Kehath: 'Amram, Yizhar, Hebron, and 'Uzziel, four.
13 Mao kini ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Amram: sila mao si Aaron ug si Moises. Gipili si Aaron aron igahin ang labing balaang mga butang, nga siya ug ang iyang mga kaliwat mohalad ug insenso sa atubangan ni Yahweh, aron mag-alagad kaniya ug magpanalangin diha sa iyang ngalan hangtod sa kahangtoran.
The sons of 'Amram, Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was set apart, to sanctify him as most holy, he with his sons for ever, to burn incense before the Lord, to minister unto him, and to bless in his name for ever.
14 Apan alang kang Moises ang alagad sa Dios, ang iyang mga anak nga lalaki giisip nga mga Levita.
But as regardeth Moses the man of God, his sons were named after the tribe of Levi.
15 Ang mga anak ni Moises mao sila si Gershom ug si Eliezer.
The sons of Moses were, Gershom, and Eli'ezer.
16 Ang kaliwat ni Gershom mao sila si Shebuel ang kamagulangan.
Of the sons of Gershom, Shebuel was the chief.
17 Ang kaliwat ni Eliezer mao si Rehabia. Walay laing mga anak nga lalaki si Eliezer apan si Rehabia adunay daghang mga kaliwat.
And the sons of Eli'ezer were, Rechahyah the chief. And Eli'ezer had no other sons; but the sons of Rechahyah became exceedingly numerous.
18 Ang anak nga lalaki ni Izhar mao si Shelomit ang pangulo.
Of the sons of Yizhar, was Shelomith the chief.
19 Ang mga kaliwat ni Hebron mao si Jeria ang kamagulangan, si Amaria ang ikaduha, si Jahaziel ang ikatulo, ug si Jekameam ang ika-upat.
The sons of Hebron: Jeriyahu the chief, Amaryah the second, Jachaziel the third, and Jekam'am the fourth.
20 Ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Uziel mao si Mica ang kamagulangan, ug si Ishia ang ikaduha.
The sons of 'Uzziel: Michah the chief, and Yishiyah the second.
21 Ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Merari mao si Mali ug si Mushi. Ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Mali mao si Eleazar ug si Kis.
The sons of Merari: Machli, and Mushi. The sons of Machli: El'azar, and Kish.
22 Namatay si Eleazar nga wala gayoy mga anak nga lalaki. Aduna lamang siyay mga anak nga babaye. Gipangasawa sila sa mga anak nga lalaki ni Kis.
And El'azar died, and had no sons, but daughters; and the sons of Kish, their brethren, took them [for wives].
23 Ang tulo ka mga anak nga lalaki ni Mushi mao sila si Mali, si Eder, ug si Jeremot
The sons of Mushi: Machli, and 'Eder, and Jeremoth, three.
24 Mao kini ang mga kaliwat ni Levi sumala sa ilang mga banay. Sila mao ang mga pangulo, nga giihap ug gilista sumala sa ilang ngalan, sa mga banay nga nagbuhat sa buluhaton sa pag-alagad sa templo ni Yahweh, gikan sa nagpangidaron ug 20 ka tuig pataas.
These were the sons of Levi after their family divisions, even the chiefs of the families, as they were counted by numbering the names after their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the Lord, from twenty years old and upward.
25 Kay miingon si David, “Yahweh, ang Dios sa Israel, naghatag ug kalinaw sa iyang katawhan. Gihimo niya nga iyang pinuy-anan ang Jerusalem hangtod sa kahangtoran.
For David said, The Lord the God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, and he dwelleth in Jerusalem for evermore.
26 Dili na kinahanglan nga dad-on sa mga Levita ang tabernakulo ug ang tanang butang nga gamiton niining buluhaton.”
And also the Levites are no more bound to carry the tabernacle, and all its vessels for the service thereof.
27 Kay pinaagi sa kataposang mga pulong ni David giihap ang mga Levita gikan sa 20 ka tuig ang pangidaron pataas.
Therefore by the last words of David were there numbered of the Levites those who were from twenty years old and above;
28 Ang ilang buluhaton mao ang pagtabang sa mga kaliwat ni Aaron sa mga buluhaton sa templo ni Yahweh. Sila ang mag-atiman sa hawanan, sa mga lawak, ug sa tanang butang sa seremonyas sa pagputli nga alang ni Yahweh, ug sa laing buluhaton sa templo sa Dios.
Because their station was to be at the side of the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the Lord, in the courts, and in the chambers, and by the purification of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God;
29 Atimanon usab nila ang tinapay sa presensya, ang lunlon nga harina alang sa mga halad nga trigo, sa pan nga walay igpatubo, sa torta ug sa ubang halad nga gisagolan ug lana, ug sa tanang timbangan ug sudlanan sa mga butang.
And for the shew-bread, which was put in rows, and for the fine flour for meat-offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for that which is baked in the pan, and for that which is sodden, and for all manner of dry and wet measure;
30 Nagtindog usab sila matag buntag alang sa pagpasalamat ug pagdayeg kang Yahweh. Gihimo usab nila kini matag gabii
And to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord, and so also at evening,
31 ug sa matag higayon nga maghalad ug halad sinunog nga ihalad ngadto kang Yahweh, sa Adlaw nga Igpapahulay ug sa Kasaulogan sa Pagsubang sa bag-ong Bulan, ug sa adlaw sa mga pista. Kanunay nga moatubang kang Yahweh ang insaktong gidaghanon sumala sa kasugoan.
And at all the offering of burnt-offerings unto the Lord on the sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the appointed feasts, according to the number, and after the manner prescribed for them, continually before the Lord;
32 Sila ang tigdumala sa tolda nga tagboanan, ang balaang dapit, ug ginatabangan ang ilang mga kaubanan nga kaliwat ni Aaron sa pag-alagad sa templo ni Yahweh.
And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of the Lord.
