1 Cronicas 17
1 Nahitabo kini human nga nakapahimutang na ang hari sa iyang puluy-anan, miingon siya kang Natan nga propeta, “Tan-awa, nagpuyo ako sa puluy-anan nga sedro, apan ang sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh anaa nahimutang sulod sa tolda.”
Nowe afterward when Dauid dwelt in his house, he saide to Nathan the Prophet, Beholde, I dwell in an house of cedar trees, but the Arke of the Lordes couenant remaineth vnder curtaines.
2 Unya miingon si Natan kang David, “Lakaw, buhata kung unsa ang anaa sa imong kasingkasing, kay nag-uban man ang Dios kanimo.”
Then Nathan said to Dauid, Do all that is in thine heart: for God is with thee.
3 Apan sa samang kagabhion ang pulong sa Dios miabot kang Natan, nga nag-ingon,
And the same night euen the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
4 “Lakaw ug sultihi si David nga akong alagad, 'Mao kini ang gisulti ni Yahweh: Dili ikaw ang magtukod ug puluy-anan nga akong kapuy-an.
Goe, and tell Dauid my seruant, Thus saith the Lord, Thou shalt not buylde me an house to dwell in:
5 Kay wala ako nagpuyo sa puluy-anan sukad sa panahon nga niabot ako sa Israel hangtod niining mga adlawa. Hinuon, nagpuyo ako sa tolda, sa tabernakulo, sa nagkalainlaing mga dapit.
For I haue dwelt in no house, since the day that I brought out the childre of Israel vnto this daye, but I haue bene from tent to tent, and from habitation to habitation.
6 Sa tanang mga dapit nga akong gibalhinan uban ang tanang Israelita, aduna ba akoy gisulti sa bisan kinsa sa mga pangulo sa Israelita nga akong gipili nga mahimong magbalantay sa akong katawhan, nga nag-ingon, “Nganong wala man ninyo ako tukori ug puluy-anan nga sedro?'''''
Wheresoeuer I haue walked with all Israel spake I one word to any of the iudges of Israel (whome I commanded to feede my people) saying, Why haue ye not built mee an house of cedar trees?
7 “Busa karon, sultihi ang akong alagad nga si David, 'Mao kini ang gisulti ni Yahweh nga labaw nga makagagahom: Gikuha ko ikaw gikan sa sibsibanan, gikan sa pagsunod sa mga karnero, aron mahimo ka nga tigdumala sa akong katawhan sa Israel.
Nowe therefore thus shalt thou say vnto my seruant Dauid, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, I tooke thee from the sheepecoat and from following the sheepe, that thou shouldest bee a prince ouer my people Israel.
8 Nag-uban ako kanimo bisan asa ka miadto ug gibuntog ang tanan mong mga kaaway, ug himoan ko ikaw ug ngalan, sama sa ngalan sa mga bantogan nga anaa sa kalibotan.
And I haue bene with thee whithersoeuer thou hast walked, and haue destroyed all thine enemies out of thy sight, and haue made thee a name, like the name of the great men that are in the earth.
9 Magpili ako ug dapit alang sa akong katawhan sa Israel ug itanom sila didto, aron nga makapuyo na sila sa ilang kaugalingong dapit ug dili na samokon. Wala nay daotang katawhan ang magdaogdaog kanila, sama sa ilang gibuhat kaniadto,
(Also I will appoynt a place for my people Israel, and will plant it, that they may dwell in their place, and moue no more: neither shall the wicked people vexe them any more, as at the beginning,
10 sama sa ilang gibuhat sa mga panahon nga nagsugo ako ug mga paghukom nga maoy magmando sa tanan kong katawhan sa Israel. Unya buntogon ko ang tanan nimo nga mga kaaway. Labaw pa niini sultihan ko ikaw nga ako, si Yahweh, ang motukod sa imong puluy-anan.
And since the time that I commanded iudges ouer my people Israel) And I wil subdue all thine enemies: therefore I say vnto thee, that the Lord wil buylde thee an house.
11 Moabot kini nga higayon nga sa dihang matuman na ang imong mga adlaw nga moadto na ikaw sa imong mga amahan, padaghanon ko ang imong mga kaliwat sunod kanimo, ug alang sa usa sa imong mga kaliwat, pagatukoron ko ang iyang gingharian.
And when thy dayes shalbe fulfilled to go with thy fathers, then will I rayse vp thy seede after thee, which shalbe of thy sonnes, and will stablish his kingdome.
12 Tukoran niya ako ug puluy-anan, ug tukoron ko ang iyang trono hangtod sa kahangtoran.
He shall builde me an house, and I will stablish his throne for euer.
13 Mahimo akong amahan ngadto kaniya, ug mahimo siyang akong anak nga lalaki. Dili ko ipahilayo ang akong matinud-anon nga kasabotan tali kaniya, sama nga gikuha ko kini gikan kang Saul, nga nagmando una kanimo.
I wil be his father, and he shalbe my sonne, aud I will not take my mercie away from him, as I tooke it from him that was before thee.
14 Ipahimutang ko siya sa akong puluy-anan ug sa akong gingharian hangtod sa kahangtoran, ug ang iyang trono molungtad hangtod sa kahangtoran.””
But I wil establish him in mine house, and in my kingdome for euer, and his throne shalbe stablished for euer,
15 Nakigsulti si Natan kang David ug gisugilon kaniya kining tanan nga mga pulong, ug gisulti niya kaniya ang mahitungod sa tibuok panan-awon.
According to all these wordes, and according to al this vision. So Nathan spake to Dauid.
16 Unya misulod si David nga hari ug milingkod sa atubangan ni Yahweh, miingon siya, “Kinsa man ako, Yahweh nga Dios, ug unsa man ang akong panimalay, nga miabot man ako niini nga punto?
And Dauid the King went in and sate before the Lord and said, Who am I, O Lord God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
17 Kay kining butanga gamay lamang sa imong panan-aw, O Dios. Nakigsulti ka sa banay sa imong alagad nga mahimong bantogan sa umaabot, ug gipakita kanako ang umaabot nga mga kaliwatan, Yahweh nga Dios.
Yet thou esteeming this a small thing, O God, hast also spoken concerning the house of thy seruaut for a great while, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of hie degree, O Lord God.
18 Unsa pa man ang akong ikasulti kanimo? Gipasidunggan mo ang imong alagad. Gihatagan mo ug pinasahi nga pagtagad ang imong alagad.
What can Dauid desire more of thee for the honour of thy seruant? for thou knowest thy seruant.
19 O Yahweh, alang sa kaayohan sa imong alagad, ug aron sa pagtuman sa imong kaugalingong katuyoan, nabuhat mo kining dagkong butang aron mapadayag nimo ang tanang dakong mga buhat.
O Lord, for thy seruantes sake, euen according to thine heart hast thou done all this great thing to declare all magnificence.
20 O Yahweh, wala gayoy sama kanimo, ug walay laing Dios gawas lamang kanimo, sama sa kanunay namong madungog.
Lord, there is none like thee, neither is there any God besides thee, according to all that we haue heard with our eares.
21 Kay unsa man nga nasod sa kalibotan ang sama sa imong katawhan sa Israel, diin imong giluwas, O Dios, gikan sa Ehipto ingon nga imong katawhan, aron paganganlan sa imong kaugalingon pinaagi sa bantogan ug maayong mga buhat? Gipapahawa mo ang kanasoran gikan sa imong katawhan, nga imong giluwas gikan sa Ehipto.
Moreouer what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whose God went to redeeme them to be his people, and to make thy selfe a Name, and to doe great and terrible things by casting out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast deliuered out of Egypt?
22 Gihimo mong kaugalingong katawhan ang Israelita hangtod sa kahangtoran, ug ikaw, Yahweh, nahimong ilang Dios.
For thou hast ordeined thy people Israel to be thine owne people for euer, and thou Lord art become their God.
23 Busa karon, Yahweh, hinaot unta nga molungtad hangtod sa kahangtoran ang imong saad nga gihimo kabahin sa imong alagad ug sa iyang banay. Buhata ang imong gisulti.
Therefore nowe Lord, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy seruant and concerning his house, be confirmed for euer, and doe as thou hast sayd,
24 Molungtad unta ang imong ngalan hangtod sa kahangtoran ug mahimong bantogan, aron mosulti ang katawhan nga, 'si Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom ang Dios sa Israel,' samtang sa akong panimalay ako si David, nga imong alagad molungtad sa imong atubangan.
And let thy name be stable and magnified for euer, that it may be sayd, The Lord of hostes, God of Israel, is the God of Israel, and let the house of Dauid thy seruant bee stablished before thee.
25 Kay ikaw, akong Dios, nagpadayag sa imong alagad nga tukoran mo siya ug puluy-anan. Mao kana ang hinungdan, nga ang imong alagad, nakakaplag ug kadasig sa pag-ampo kanimo.
For thou, O my God, hast reueiled vnto the eare of thy seruant, that thou wilt builde him an house: therefore thy seruant hath bene bolde to pray before thee.
26 Karon, O Yahweh, ikaw ang Dios, ug gihimo kining maayong saad sa imong alagad:
Therefore nowe Lord (for thou art God, and hast spoken this goodnesse vnto thy seruant)
27 Karon nahimuot ka sa pagpanalangin sa banay sa imong alagad, nga unta mopadayon kini hangtod sa kahangtoran sa imong atubangan. Ikaw, O Yahweh, ang nagpanalangin niini, ug panalanginan kini hangtod sa kahangtoran.”
Now therfore, it hath pleased thee to blesse the house of thy seruant, that it may bee before thee for euer: for thou, O Lord, hast blessed it, and it shalbe blessed for euer.
