1 Cronicas 15

1 Nagtukod ug mga balay si David alang sa iyang kaugalingon didto sa siyudad ni David. Nag-andam usab siya ug usa ka dapit alang sa sudlanan sa kasabotan sa Dios ug nagpatindog usab ug tolda alang niini.

And [David] made himself houses in the city of David, and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.

2 Unya miingon si David, “Ang mga Levita lamang ang makahimo sa pagdala sa sudlanan sa kasabotan sa Dios, kay gipili sila ni Yahweh aron pagdala sa sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh, ug aron pag-alagad kaniya hangtod sa kahangtoran.”

Then said David, None shall carry the ark of God but the Levites; for of them hath the Lord made choice to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.

3 Unya gitigom ni David ang tanang Israel sa Jerusalem, aron dad-on ang sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh ngadto sa dapit nga iyang giandam alang niini.

And David assembled all Israel to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the Lord unto its place, which he had prepared for it.

4 Gitigom ni David ang mga kaliwat ni Aaron ug ang mga Levita.

And David gathered together the children of Aaron, and the Levites.

5 Gikan sa mga kaliwat ni Kohat, adunay 120 ka kalalakin-an nga gipangulohan ni Uriel ug sa iyang mga kaparyentihan.

Of the sons of Kehath: Uriel the chief, and his brethren one hundred and twenty.

6 Gikan sa mga kaliwat ni Merari, adunay 220 ka kalalakin-an nga gipangulohan ni Asaya ug sa iyang mga kaparyentihan.

Of the sons of Merari: 'Assayah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty.

7 Gikan sa mga kaliwat ni Gershom, adunay 130 ka kalalakin-an nga gipangulohan ni Joel ug sa iyang mga kaparyentihan.

Of the sons of Gershom: Joel the chief, and his brethren one hundred and thirty.

8 Gikan sa mga kaliwat ni Elizafan, adunay 200 ka kalalakin-an nga gipangulohan ni Shemaya ug sa iyang mga kaparyentihan.

Of the sons of Elizaphan: Shema'yah the chief, and his brethren two hundred.

9 Gikan sa mga kaliwat ni Hebron, adunay 80 ka kalalakin-an nga gipangulohan ni Eliel ug sa iyang mga kaparyentihan.

Of the sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief, and his brethren eighty.

10 Gikan sa mga kaliwat ni Uziel, adunay 112 ka kalalakin-an nga gipangulohan ni Aminadab ug sa iyang mga kaparyentihan.

Of the sons of 'Uzziel: 'Amminadab the chief, and his brethren one hundred and twelve.

11 Gipatawag ni David sila Zadok ug si Abiatar nga mga pari, uban ang mga Levita nga sila si Uriel, si Asaya, si Joel, si Shemaya, si Eliel, ug si Aminadab.

And David called for Zadok and Ebyathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, 'Assayah, and Joel, Shema'yah, and Eliel, and 'Amminadab,

12 Miingon siya ngadto kanila, “Kamo ang mga pangulo sa mga pamilya sa Levita. Balaana ang inyong kaugalingon, kamo ug ang inyong mga igsoong lalaki, aron madala ninyo ang sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh, ang Dios sa Israel, ngadto sa dapit nga akong giandam alang niini.

And he said unto them, Ye are the chiefs of the family divisions of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, ye and your brethren, and bring up the ark of the Lord the God of Israel unto [the place which] I have prepared for it.

13 Wala ninyo kini dad-a sa unang higayon. Mao kana ang hinungdan nga si Yahweh nga atong Dios nakigbatok kanato, kay wala nato siya pangitaa o tumana ang iyang mando.”

For, because ye [did] it not at the first, the Lord our God made a breach among us; because we had not sought him after the prescribed manner.

14 Busa gibalaan sa mga pari ug sa mga Levita ang ilang kaugalingon aron madala nila ang sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh, ang Dios sa Israel.

So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord the God of Israel.

15 Busa gidayongan sa mga Levita ang sudlanan sa kasabotan sa Dios, sama sa gimando ni Moises—ang pagsunod sa mga sugo nga gihatag sa pulong ni Yahweh.

And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord, on their shoulders, by means of barrows placed upon them.

16 Nakigsulti si David ngadto sa mga pangulo sa mga Levita nga mopili sa ilang mga igsoong lalaki aron mahimong manunugtog uban sa mga tulonggon, mga lira, mga harpa ug mga piyangpiyang, sa makusog nga pagtugtog ug malipayong mopasibaw sa ilang mga tingog.

And David said to the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, to sing aloud, by lifting up the voice for joy.

17 Busa gipili sa mga Levita si Heman ang anak nga lalaki ni Joel ug usa sa iyang mga igsoon, si Asaf ang anak nga lalaki ni Berekia. Gipili usab nila si Etan ang anak nga lalaki ni Kusaya ang kadugo nga gikan sa mga kaliwat ni Merari.

So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel, and of his brethren, Assaph the son of Berechyahu, and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushayahu;

18 Uban kanila ang ilang kadugo sa ikaduhang ranggo: nga mao sila si Zacarias, si Jaaziel, si Shemiramot, si Jehiel, si Uni, si Eliab, si Benaya, si Maasea, si Matitia, si Elifelehu, si Miknea, si Obed Edom ug Jeil, ang mga tigbantay sa ganghaan.

And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zecharyahu, Ben, and Ja'aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and 'Unni, Eliab, and Benayahu, and Ma'asseyahu, and Matthithyahu, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneyahu, and 'Obed-edom, and Je'iel, the gatekeepers.

19 Ang mga manunugtog nga sila Heman, si Asaf, ug si Etan maoy gipili aron mopatugtog ug makusog sa bronse nga mga piyangpiyang.

Namely, the singers, Heman, Assaph, and Ethan, to play aloud with cymbals of copper;

20 Ang mopatugtog sa mga lira mao sila si Zacarias, si Aziel, si Shemiramot, si Uni, si Eliab, si Maasea, ug si Benaya.

And Zechariah, and 'Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and 'Unni, and Eliab, and Ma'asseyahu, and Benayahu, with psalteries on 'Alamoth;

21 Ang nanguna sa dalan uban sa mga harpa mao sila si Matitia, si Elifelehu, si Miknea, si Obed Edom, si Jeil, ug si Azazia.

And Matthithyahu, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneyahu, and 'Obed-edom, and Je-iel, and 'Azazyahu, with harps on the Sheminith to play as leaders.

22 Si Kenania, ang pangulo sa mga Levita, siya mao ang nagdumala sa panag-awit tungod kay usa man siya ka magtutudlo sa musika.

And Kenanyahu was the chief of the Levites in conducting the singing: he instructed in conducting the singing, because he was skilful.

23 Si Berekia ug si Elkana mao ang tigbantay sa sudlanan sa kasabotan.

And Berechyah and Elkanah were gatekeepers for the ark.

24 Sila si Shebania, si Joshafat, si Netanel, si Amasai, si Zacarias, si Benaya ug Eliezer, nga mga pari mao ang nagpatingog sa mga trumpeta atubangan sa sudlanan sa kasabotan sa Dios. Sila Obed Edom ug si Jehia mao ang tigbantay sa sudlanan sa kasabotan.

And Shebanyahu, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and 'Amassai, and Zecharyahu, and Benayahu, and Eli'ezer, the priests, did blow on the trumpets before the ark of God; and 'Obed-edom and Jechiyah were gatekeepers for the ark.

25 Busa miadto si David, ang mga kadagkoan sa Israel, ug ang mga komandante sa liboan aron pagdala sa sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh pagawas sa balay ni Obed Edom uban sa kalipay.

And it was David, with the elders of Israel, and the officers over the thousands, who went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the house of 'Obed-edom with joy.

26 Samtang gitabangan sa Dios ang mga Levita nga nagpas-an sa sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh, naghalad sila ug pito ka mga torong baka ug pito usab ka mga torong karnero.

And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.

27 Nagbisti si David ug maanindot nga kupo nga lino, lakip ang mga Levita nga nagpas-an sa sudlanan sa kasabotan, ang mga mag-aawit, ug si Kenania, ang nangulo sa pagkanta uban sa mga mag-aawit. Nagsul-ob usab si David ug efod nga lino.

And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and [so were] all the Levites that carried the ark, and the singers, and Kenanyahu the chief in conducting the singing of the singers; but David had also upon him an ephod of linen.

28 Busa gidala sa tanang Israelita ang maong sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh uban sa malipayong panagsinggit, ug uban sa tingog sa mga budyong, uban sa mga piyangpiyang, ug uban usab sa mga lira ug mga harpa.

Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, playing aloud on psalteries and harps.

29 Apan sa dihang miabot ngadto sa siyudad ni David ang sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh, midungaw sa bintana si Michal ang anak nga babaye ni Saulo. Nakit-an niya nga nagsayaw-sayaw ug nagsaulog si Haring David. Ug unya gitamay niya siya sulod sa iyang kasingkasing.

And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came as far as the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked through the window, and saw king David dancing and playing, and she despised him in her heart.
