1 Mao kini ang kalalakin-an nga miadto kang David sa Ziklag, samtang gihinginlan pa siya sa presensya ni Saul nga anak nga lalaki ni Kis. Uban sila sa mga kasundalohan, nga iyang mga kaubanan sa gubat.

16 Miadto ang pipila ka kalalakin-an nga naggikan sa banay ni Benjamin ug ni Juda sa tagoanan ni David.
Sotheli also men of Beniamyn and of Juda camen to the stronge hoold, whereyn Dauid dwellide.
17 Migawas si David aron sa paghimamat kanila ug miingon kanila, “Kung mianhi kamo sa kalinaw aron sa pagtabang kanako, mahimo kamong makig-abin kanako. Apan kung mianhi kamo aron sa pagbudhi kanako alang sa akong mga kaaway, hinaot nga makita sa Dios sa atong mga katigulangan ug badlongon kamo, sanglit wala man akoy nabuhat nga daotan.”
And Dauid yede out ayens hem, and seide, If ye `ben comyn pesible to me, for to helpe me, myn herte be ioyned to you; forsothe if ye setten aspies to me for myn aduersaries, sithen Y haue not wickidnesse in the hondis, God of our fadris se and deme.

Miingon sila, “Mibiya siya sa iyang agalon nga si Saul alang sa kadaot sa atong mga kinabuhi.”
Forsothe men of Manasses fledden ouer to Dauid, whanne he cam with Filisteis to fiyte ayens Saul, and he fauyte not with hem, for after that the princes of Filisteis hadden take counsel, thei senten hym ayen, and seiden, With perel of oure heed he schal turne ayen to Saul his lord.
20 Sa dihang miadto siya sa Ziklag, nakig-abin kaniya ang katawhan ni Manases nga sila si Adna, si Jozabad, si Jediel, si Micael, si Jozabad, si Elihu, ug si Ziletai, nga mga kapitan sa liboan nga kaliwat ni Manases.
Therfor whanne Dauid turnede ayen in to Sichelech, men of Manasses fledden ouer to hym, Eduas, and Jozabad, Jedihel, and Mychael, and Naas, and Jozabath, and Helyu, and Salathi, princes of knyytis in Manasses.
21 Gitabangan nila si David sa pagpakig-away batok sa mga pundok sa kawatan, kay isog sila nga mga tawo. Sa wala madugay nahimo silang mga pangulo sa kasundalohan.
These men yauen help to Dauid ayens theues; for alle weren strongeste men, and thei weren maad prynces in the oost.
22 Sa matag adlaw, miadto kang David ang mga kasundalohan aron sa pagtabang kaniya, hangtod nga midaghan ang kasundalohan, sama sa kasundalohan sa Dios.
But also bi ech dai men camen to Dauid, for to helpe hym, til that the noumbre was maad greet as the oost of God.
23 Mao kini ang talaan sa kasundalohan nga sinangkapan alang sa gubat nga miadto kang David sa Hebron, aron sa pagbalhin sa gingharian ni Saul ngadto kaniya, nga katumanan sa pulong ni Yahweh.

28 Uban kang Zadok, ang batan-on, kusgan ug isog nga tawo, nga adunay 22 ka pangulo gikan sa panimalay sa iyang amahan.

36 Gikan sa banay ni Aser adunay 40, 000 ka lalaki nga andam sa gubat.

37 Gikan sa laing bahin sa Jordan, gikan sa banay ni Ruben, ni Gad, ug sa katungang banay ni Manases, adunay 120, 000 ka isog nga kalalakin-an uban ang tanang matang sa hinagiban sa gubat.

38 Kining tanan nga kasundalohan, gisangkapan alang sa gubat, miadto sa Hebron uban ang ligdong nga mga tinguha aron himoon nga hari si David sa tibuok Israel. Nagkauyon usab ang tibuok Israel nga himoong hari si David.
Alle these men werriouris and redi to batel camen with perfit herte in to Ebron, to make Dauid kyng on al Israel; but also alle the residue of Israel weren of oon herte, that Dauid schulde be maad king on al Israel.
39 Sulod sa tulo ka adlaw atoa sila didto sa pakigsalo sa pagkaon ug pag-inom uban kang David, kay gipadad-an sila ug mga pagkaon sa ilang mga kadugo.
And thei weren ther at Dauid thre daies, and eten and drunken; for her britheren hadden maad redi to hem;
