1 Cronicas 11

1 Unya miadto ang tibuok Israel ngadto kang David didto sa Hebron ug miingon, “Paminaw, kami ang imong unod ug ang imong bukog.

Then did all Israel gather themselves together to David, unto Hebron, saying, —Lo! thy bone and thy flesh, are we.

2 Sa milabay nga panahon, sa dihang si Saul pa ang naghari kanamo, ikaw na ang nagdumala sa kasundalohan nga mga Israelita. Si Yahweh nga imong Dios miingon kanimo, 'Pagabantayan mo ang akong katawhan sa Israel, ug mahimo kang magmamando sa akong katawhan sa Israel.”'

Moreover also, in time past even when Saul was king, thou, wast he that led out and brought in Israel, —and Yahweh thy God said unto thee, Thou, shalt shepherd my people Israel, Yea, thou, shalt be chief ruler, over my people Israel.

3 Busa miadto ang tanang pangulo sa Israel ngadto sa hari didto sa Hebron, ug naghimo ug kasabotan si David tali kanila sa atubangan ni Yahweh. Gidihogan nila si David ingon nga hari sa Israel. Niini nga paagi, ang pulong ni Yahweh nga gipadayag pinaagi kang Samuel natinuod.

Thus came all the elders of Israel unto the king, to Hebron, and David solemnised to them a covenant in Hebron, before Yahweh, —and they anointed David to be king over Israel, according to the word of Yahweh, through Samuel.

4 Miadto si David ug ang tanang Israelita sa Jerusalem (nga mao ang, Jebus). Karon anaa didto ang mga kaliwat ni Jebus, nga lumolupyo sa yuta.

Then went David and all Israel to Jerusalem, the same, was Jebus, —where were the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land.

5 Ang mga lumolupyo sa Jebus miingon ngadto kang David, “Dili ka makasulod dinhi.” Apan gikuha ni David ang lig-ong salipdanan sa Zion, nga mao ang, siyudad ni David.

And the inhabitants of Jebus said unto David, Thou shalt not come in hither, —But David captured the citadel of Zion, the same, is the city of David.

6 Miingon si David, “Si Bisan kinsa nga mouna ug sulong sa mga Jebusehanon mahimong kumandante.” Busa misulong ug una si Joab ang anak nga lalaki ni Zeruya, busa nahimo siyang kumandante.

And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites, first, shall become a chief, and a ruler, —So then Joab son of Zeruiah, went up first, and became a chief.

7 Unya nagpuyo si David sa lig-ong salipdanan.

And David dwelt in the citadel, —for this cause, did they call it, The City of David.

8 Busa gitawag nila kini nga siyudad ni David. Gikutaan niya palibot ang siyudad gikan sa Milo ug ang likod palibot sa pader. Gikutaan ni Joab ang ubang siyudad.

And he built the city round about, from Millo even as far as the circuit, —but, Joab, suffered the remainder of the city to live.

9 Nahimo si David nga mas labaw tungod kay nagauban man kaniya si Yahweh.

Thus did David wax greater and yet greater, —and, Yahweh of Hosts, was with him.

10 Mao kini ang mga pangulo ni David, nga nagpakita sa ilang pagkakusgan uban kaniya sa iyang gingharian, uban sa tibuok Israel, aron mahimo siyang hari, nga nagatuman sa pulong ni Yahweh mahitungod sa Israel.

Now, these, are the chiefs of the heroes, that pertained to David, who held strongly with him in his kingdom, with all Israel, to make him king, —according to the word of Yahweh, concerning Israel.

11 Mao kini ang listahan sa bantogang mga sundalo ni David: Si Jashobeam, ang anak nga lalaki sa usa ka Hakmonihanon, ang kumandante sa 30. Gipatay niya ang 300 ka mga kalalakin-an sa iyang bangkaw sa usa lamang ka higayon.

And, this, is the number of the heroes who pertained to David, —Jashobeam son of a Hachmonite, chief of the thirty, the same, brandished his spear over three hundred—slain at one time.

12 Sunod kaniya mao si Eleazer, ang anak nga lalaki ni Dodo, ang Ahotihanon, nga usa sa tulo ka bantogang mga kalalakin-an.

And, after him, was Eleazar son of Dodai, the Ahohite, —he, was among the three heroes;

13 Kauban siya ni David didto sa Pasdamim, ug didto nagtigom ang mga Filistihanon alang sa gubat, diin didto adunay umahan sa sebada ug mikalagiw ang kasundalohan gikan sa mga Filistihanon.

he, was with David in Pas-dammim, where, the Philistines, were gathered together to battle, and there was a field-plot full of barley, —and, the people, fled, from before the Philistines;

14 Nagbarog sila taliwala sa maong uma. Gipanalipdan nila kini ug gipamatay ang mga Filistihanon ug giluwas sila ni Yahweh uban ang dakong kadaogan.

so they took their stand in the midst of the plot and rescued it, and smote the Philistines, —and Yahweh wrought a great victory.

15 Unya ang tulo sa 30 ka mga pangulo milugsong paingon kang David ngadto sa kabatohan, sa langub sa Adulam. Nagkampo ang kasundalohan sa Filistihanon didto sa walog sa Refaim.

And three of the thirty chiefs went down upon the rock, unto David, into the cave of Adullam, —a host of Philistines, being encamped in the vale of Rephaim.

16 Niana nga panahon anaa si David sa iyang salipdanan nga usa ka langub, samtang ang mga Filistihanon nagtigom sa ilang kampo didto sa Betlehem.

Now, David, then was in the stronghold, —and, a garrison of Philistines, then was in Bethlehem.

17 Giuhaw si David ug miingon, “Kung aduna untay tawo nga makahatag kanako ug tubig aron imnon nga gikan sa atabay didto sa Betlehem, ang atabay nga anaa duol sa ganghaan!”

And David longed, and said—Who will give me to drink of the water, out of the well of Bethlehem, that is within the gate?

18 Busa mingsulod kining tulo ka bantogang mga sundalo taliwala sa kasundalohan sa Filistihanon ug nagkabo ug tubig sa atabay sa Betlehem, ang atabay nga anaa tupad sa ganghaan. Nagkuha sila ug tubig ug gidala kini ngadto kang David, apan nagdumili siya sa pag-inom niini. Hinuon, gibubo niya kini ngadto kang Yahweh.

And the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was within the gate, and bare it, and brought it in unto David, —yet would not David drink it, but poured it out unto Yahweh;

19 Unya miingon siya, “o Yahweh, ipalayo kini kanako, nga ako kining imnon. Kinahanglan ko ba nga imnon ang dugo sa mga tawo nga nagbutang sa ilang mga kinabuhi sa kakuyaw?” Tungod kay gibutang man nila sa kakuyaw ang ilang kinabuhi, nagdumili siya sa pag-inom niini. Mao kini ang mga butang nga gibuhat sa tulo ka bantogang mga sundalo.

and said—Far be it from me, of my God, that I should do this! The blood of these men, shall I drink, with their lives? For, with their lives, have they brought it! So he would not drink it. These things, did the three heroes.

20 Si Abisai ang igsoong lalaki ni Joab, ang kapitan sa tulo. Gibangkaw niya sa usa ka higayon ang 300 ka tawo ug gipamatay sila. Gipasidunggan siya taliwala sa tulo.

And, Abishai brother of Joab—he, was the chief of three, he, having brandished his spear against three hundred—who were slain, —and so, he, had a name among three.

21 Taliwala sa Tulo, siya ang labing gipasidunggan ug nahimong ilang kapitan. Bisan paman ug dili siya sakop sa tulo.

Of the three in the second rank, was he honourable, therefore became he their captain, —though, unto the [first] three, did he not attain.

22 Si Benaya ang anak nga lalaki ni Jehoyada ang kusgan nga tawo nga nakabuhat sa dagkong mga butang. Gipatay niya ang duha ka anak nga lalaki ni Ariel sa Moab. Mikanaog usab siya ngadto sa bangag ug gipatay ang usa ka liyon samtang panahon sa tingtugnaw.

Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, son of a man of valour, hero of many a deed, from Kabziel—he, smote the two [sons] of Ariel of Moab, he, also went down and smote a lion in the midst of a pit, in time of snow;

23 Gipatay usab niya ang usa ka Ehiptohanon, ang tawo nga adunay lima ka cubit ang gitas-on. Adunay usa ka bangkaw ang Ehiptohanon nga sama sa likisan sa manghahabol, apan milugsong siya paingon kaniya dala lamang ang usa ka sungkod. Giilog niya ang bangkaw nga anaa sa kamot sa Ehiptohanon ug gipatay siya pinaagi sa iyang kaugalingong bangkaw.

he, also smote an Egyptian, a man of [great] stature, five cubits, and, in the hand of the Egyptian, was a spear like a weaver’s beam, so he went down unto him with a staff, —and wrested the spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, and slew him with his spear.

24 Si Benaya ang anak nga lalaki ni Jehoyada ang nagbuhat sa dagkong butang, ug gipasidunggan siya taliwala sa tulo ka bantogang mga sundalo.

These things, did Benaiah son of Jehoiada, so, he, had a name among three heroes.

25 Sa kinatibuk-an mas labaw gayod siya kay sa 30 ka mga sundalo, apan wala niya makab-ot ang sama ka labing labaw sa tulo ka mas labing bantogang mga sundalo. Apan gihimo siya ni David nga pangulo sa iyang mga tigbantay.

Among the thirty, lo! honourable, was he, but, unto the [first] three, did he not attain, —howbeit David set him over his council.

26 Ang bantogang mga sundalo mao si Asahel nga igsoong lalaki ni Joab, si Elhanan nga anak nga lalaki ni Dodo sa Betlehem,

Now, the heroes of the forces, were, —Asahel, brother of Joab, Elhanan, son of Dodo, of Bethlehem;

27 si Shamot nga taga-Haror, si Helez nga taga-Pelon,

Shammoth, the Harorite, Helez the Paltite;

28 si Ira nga anak nga lalaki ni Ikes nga taga-Tekoa, si Abiezer nga taga-Anatot,

Ira, son of Ikkesh, the Tekoite, Abiezer, the Anathothite;

29 si Sibecai nga taga-Husha, si Ilai nga taga-Aho,

Sibbecai, the Hushathite, Ilai, the Ahohite;

30 Si Maharai nga taga-Netofa, si Heled anak nga lalaki ni Baana nga taga-Netofa,

Maharai, the Netophathite, Heled, son of Baanah, the Netophathite;

31 si Itai anak nga lalaki ni Ribai nga taga-Gibea sa kaliwatan ni Benjamin, si Benaya nga taga-Piraton,

Ithai, son of Ribai, of Gibeah, of the sons of Benjamin, —Benaiah, the Pirathonite;

32 si Hurai nga nagpuyo sa mga walog sa Gaas, si Abiel nga taga-Araba

Hurai, of the torrents of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite;

33 si Azmavet nga taga-Baharum, si Eliaba nga taga-Shaalbon,

Azmaveth, the Baharumite, Eliahba, the Shaalbonite;

34 ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Hasem nga taga-Gizon, si Jonathan nga anak nga lalaki ni Shagee nga taga-Harar,

the sons of Hashem, the Gizonite, Jonathan, son of Shageh, the Hararite;

35 si Ahiam nga anak nga lalaki ni Sacar nga taga-Harar, si Elifal nga anak nga lalaki ni Ur,

Ahiam, son of Sacar, the Hararite, Eliphal, son of Ur;

36 si Hefer nga taga-Mekerat, si Ahia nga taga-Pelon,

Hepher, the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite;

37 si Hezro nga taga-Carmel, si Naarai nga anak ni Ezbai,

Hezro, the Carmelite, Naarai, son of Ezbai;

38 Si Joel ang igsoong lalaki ni Natan, si Mibhar nga anak nga lalaki ni Hagri,

Joel, brother of Nathan, Mibhar son of Hagri;

39 si Zelek nga taga-Amon, si Naharai nga taga-Berot (ang tigdala sa hinagiban ni Joab nga anak nga lalaki ni Zeruya),

Zelek, the Ammonite, —Naharai, the Berothite, the armour-bearer of Joab son of Zeruiah;

40 si Ira ug si Gareb nga taga-Jatir,

Ira, the Ithrite, Gareb, the Ithrite;

41 si Uria nga Hitihanon, si Zabad nga anak nga lalaki ni Alai,

Uriah, the Hittite, Zabad son of Ahlai;

42 Si Adina nga anak nga lalaki ni Shiza nga kaliwat ni Ruben (usa ka pangulo sa mga tribo ni Ruben) ug uban ang 30 ka mga sakop,

Adina, son of Shiza, the Reubenite, a chief of the Reubenites and over the thirty;

43 si Hanan nga anak nga lalaki ni Maaca, ug si Joshafat nga taga-Mitna,

Hanan, son of Maacah, and Joshaphat, the Mithnite;

44 si Uzia nga taga-Ashterat, si Shama ug si Jeil nga mga anak nga lalaki ni Hotam nga taga-Aroer,

Uzzia, the Ashterathite, —Shama, and Jeiel, sons of Hotham, the Aroerite;

45 si Jediel nga anak nga lalaki ni Shimri sa Juda (igsoon niya nga taga-Tiz),

Jediael, son of Shimri, and Joha, his brother, the Tizite;

46 si Eliel nga taga-Mahav, si Jeribai ug si Joshovia nga mga anak nga lalaki ni Elnaam, si Itma nga taga-Moab,

Eliel, the Mahavite, and Jeribai and Joshaviah, sons of Elnaam, —and Ithmah the Moabite;

47 si Eliel, si Obed, ug si Jaasiel nga taga-Zoba.

Eliel, and Obed, and Jaasiel, of Zobah.
