Псалми 91
1 Псалом. Песен за съботния ден. Който живее под покрива на Всевишния, Той ще пребъдва под сянката на Всемогъщия.
O thou that dwellest in the covert of the Most High, and abidest in the shadow of the Almighty;
2 Ще казвам за Господа: Той е прибежище мое и крепост моя, Бог мой, на Когото уповавам.
I will say of the LORD, who is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust,
3 Защото Той ще те избавя от примката на ловеца И от гибелен мор.
That He will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 С перата Си ще те покрива; И под крилата Му ще прибегнеш; Неговата вярност е щит и закрила.
He will cover thee with His pinions, and under His wings shalt thou take refuge; His truth is a shield and a buckler.
5 Няма да се боиш от нощен страх, От стрелата, която лети денем,
Thou shalt not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flieth by day;
6 От мор, който ходи в тъмнина, От погибел, която опустошава всред пладне.
Of the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor of the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 Хиляда души ще падат от страната ти, И десет хиляди от десницата ти, Но до тебе няма да се приближи.
A thousand may fall at Thy side, and ten thousand at Thy right hand; it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Само с очите си ще гледаш, И ще видиш възмездието на нечестивите
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the recompense of the wicked.
9 Понеже ти си казал: Господ е прибежище мое, И си направил Всевишния обиталището си,
For thou hast made the LORD who is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation.
10 Затова няма да те сполети никакво зло, Нито ще се приближи язва до шатъра ти.
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.
11 Защото ще заповяда на ангелите Си за тебе Да те пазят във всичките ти пътища.
For He will give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 На ръце ще те дигат, Да не би да удариш о камък ногата си.
They shall bear thee upon their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Ще настъпиш лъв и аспид; Ще стъпчеш млад лъв и змия.
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and asp; the young lion and the serpent shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Понеже той е положил в Мене любовта си, казва Господ, Затова ще го избавя; Ще го поставя в безопасност, защото е познал името Ми.
'Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known My name.
15 Той ще Ме призове, и Аз ще го послушам; С него ще съм, когато е в бедствие; ще го избавя и ще го прославя.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him, and bring him to honour.
16 Ще го наситя с дългоденствие, И ще му покажа спасението, което върша.
With long life will I satisfy him, and make Him to behold My salvation.'
