Псалми 83
1 Асафова псаломска песен. Боже, недей мълча; Не премълчавай, нито бивай безмълвен, Боже;
“A song or psalm of Assaph.” O God, take no rest for thyself: be not silent and keep not still, O God!
2 Защото, ето, враговете Ти правят размирие, И ненавистниците Ти са издигнали глава.
For, lo, thy enemies make a tumult, and they that hate thee have lifted up their head.
3 Коварен съвет правят против Твоите люде, И се наговарят против скритите Твои.
Against thy people they take crafty secret device, and they consult against those whom thou protectest.
4 Рекох: Елате да ги изтребим, за да не са народ, И да се не споменава вече името на Израиля.
They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; and the name of Israel shall be remembered no more.
5 Защото единодушно се съгласиха заедно, Направиха съюз против Тебе,
For they have consulted cordially together; against thee they make a covenant:
6 Шатрите на Едом и исмаилите; Моав и агаряните.
The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites: Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Гевал, Амон и Амалик, Филистимците с тирските жители;
Gebal, and 'Ammon, and 'Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Още и Асирия се съедини с тях, Станаха помощници на Лотовите потомци. (Села)
Also Asshur is joined with them; they have become an arm unto the children of Lot. (Selah)
9 Стори им като на мадиамците, Като на Сисара, като на Якова при потока Кисон,
Do unto them as [unto] Midian; as to Sissera, as to Jabin, at the brook Kishon:
10 Които загинаха в Ендор, Ставайки тор на земята.
Who were annihilated at 'En-dor; they became as dung for the ground.
11 Направи благородните им като Орива и Зива, Дори всичките им първенци като Зевея и Салмана,
Render them, their nobles, like 'Oreb, and like Zeeb; yea, like Zebach and like Zalmunna' all their princes;
12 Които рекоха: Да усвоим за себе си Божиите заселища.
Who said, Let us conquer for ourselves the dwellings of God,
13 Боже мой, направи ги като въртящия се прах, Като плява пред вятъра.
O my God, render them like the thistle-down, like stubble before the wind.
14 Както огънят изгаря лесовете, И както пламъкът запалва горите.
As the fire burneth up a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire:
15 Така ги прогони с урагана Си, И смути ги с бурята Си.
So pursue them with thy storm, and with thy whirlwind do thou terrify them.
16 Покрий лицата им с позор, За да потърсят Твоето име, Господи.
Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Lord!
17 Нека се посрамят и ужасят за винаги, Да! нека се смутят и погинат,
Let them be made ashamed and terrified for ever and aye; yea, let them be put to the blush and perish:
18 За да познаят, че Ти, Чието име е Иеова, Един си Всевишен над цялата земя.
That they may know that thou, whose name is the Eternal, art by thyself alone, the Most High over all the earth.
