Псалми 2
1 Защо се разоряват народите, И племената намислюват суета?
Wherefore have nations assembled in tumult? Or should, peoples, mutter an empty thing?
2 Опълчват се земните царе, И управниците се наговарят заедно, Против Господа и против Неговия помазаник, като казват:
The kings of earth take their station, and, grave men, have met by appointment together, —against Yahweh, and against his Anointed One [saying]:
3 Нека разкъсаме връзките им, И нека отхвърлим от себе си въжетата им.
Let us break asunder their bonds, —and cast from us their cords!
4 Тоя, Който седи на небесата, ще се смее; Господ ще им се поругае.
He that sitteth in the heavens, will laugh, —My Lord, will mock at them:
5 Това ще им продума в гнева Си, И в тежкото Си негодувание ще ги смути, казвайки:
Then, will he speak unto them in his anger, and, in his wrath, confound them:
6 Но Аз поставих Царя Си На Сион, светия Мой хълм.
Yet, I, have installed my king, —on Zion my holy mountain.
7 Аз ще изявя постановлението; Господ ми каза: Ти си Мой Син; Аз днес те родих.
Let me tell of a decree, —Yahweh, hath said unto me, My son, thou art, I, to-day, have begotten thee:
8 Поискай от Мене и Аз ще ти дам народите за твое наследство, И земните краища за твое притежание.
Ask of me, and let me give nations as thine inheritance, and, as thy possession, the ends of the earth:
9 Ще ги съкрушиш с желязна тояга, Ще ги строшиш като грънчарски съд.
Thou shalt shepherd them with a sceptre of iron, —as a potter’s vessel, shalt thou dash them in pieces.
10 Сега, прочее, вразумете се, о царе; Научете се земни съдии.
Now, therefore, ye kings, show your prudence, Be admonished, ye judges of earth:
11 Слугувайте на Господа със страх, И радвайте се с трепет.
Serve Yahweh with reverence, and exult with trembling:
12 Целувайте Избраника, за да се не разгневи, Та погинете в пътя; Защото скоро ще пламне Неговият гняв. Блажени са всички, които се надяват на Него.
Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish by the way, for soon might be kindled his anger, —How happy are all who seek refuge in him!
