Псалми 120

1 Песен на възкачванията. В бедствието си извиках към Господа; И Той ме послуша.

“A song of the degrees.” Unto the Lord, when I was in distress, did I call, and he hath answered me.

2 В бедствието си извиках към Господа; И той ме послуша.

O Lord, deliver my soul from lips of falsehood, and from a tongue of deceit.

3 Господи, избави душата ми от лъжливи устни. И от измамлив език

What will [God] give unto thee? or what will he add unto thee, thou tongue of deceit?

4 Изострените стрели на силен мъж, Са въглища от смрика.

Sharpened arrows of the mighty, with coals of the broom-bush.

5 Горко ми, защото странствувам в Мосох, Живея в Кидарските шатри!

Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!

6 Дълго време живя душата ми С ония, които мразят мир.

Too long for herself hath my soul dwelt with him that hateth peace.

7 Аз съм за мир; но когато говоря, Те са за бой.

I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
