Числа 24
1 И Валаам, като видя, че беше угодно на Господа да благославя Израиля, не отиде както друг път да търси гадания, но обърна лицето си към пустинята.
And when Balaam saw that it pleased the Lord that he should bless Israel. he went not as he had gone before, to seek divination: but setting his face towards the desert,
2 И като подигна очи, Валаам видя Израиля заселен според племената си; и Божият Дух слезе на него.
And lifting up his eyes, he saw Israel abiding in their tents by their tribes: and the spirit of God rushing upon him,
3 И почна притчата си, казвайки: - Валаам син Веоров каза: И човекът, който има отворени очи, каза:
He took up his parable and said: Balaam the son of Beor hath said: The man hath said, whose eye ire stopped up:
4 Каза оня, който чу Божиите думи, Който видя видението от Всесилния, Който падна в изстъпление, но очите му бяха отворени:
The hearer of the words of God hath said, he that hath beheld the vision of the Almighty, he that falleth, and so his eyes are opened:
5 Колко са красиви твоите шатри, Якове, Твоите скинии, Израилю!
How beautiful are thy tabernacles, O Jacob, and thy tents, O Israel!
6 Като долини са разпрострени, Като градини по речни брегове, Като алоини дървета, които Господ е насадил, Като кедри покрай водите.
As woody valleys, as watered gardens near the rivers, as tabernacles which the Lord hath pitched, as cedars by the waterside.
7 Ще се излива вода из ведрата му, И потомството му ще се простира в много води; Царят му ще бъде по-висок от Агага, И царството му ще се възвеличи.
Water shall flow out of his bucket, and his seed shall be in many waters. For Agag his king shall be removed, and his kingdom shall be taken awry.
8 Бог го изведе из Египет; Има сила както див вол; Ще пояде неприятелските нему народи, Ще строши костите им, и ще ги удари със стрелите си.
God hath brought him out of Egypt, whose strength is like to the rhinoceros. They shall devour the nations that are his enemies, and break their bones, and pierce them with arrows.
9 Легнал е и лежи като лъв И като лъвица; кой ще го възбуди? Благословен, който те благославя! И проклет, който те проклина!
Lying down he hath slept as a lion, and as a lioness, whom none shall dare to rouse. He that blesseth thee, shall also himself be blessed: he that curseth thee shall be reckoned accursed.
10 Тогава гневът на Валака пламна против Валаама, и изплеска с ръце: и Валак рече на Валаама: Аз те повиках да прокълнеш неприятелите ми; а, ето, три пъти ти все ги благославяш.
And Balac being angry against Balaam, clapped his hands together and said: I called thee to curse my enemies, and thou on the contrary hast blessed them three times.
11 Сега, прочее, бягай на мястото си, рекох си да те въздигна до голяма почит; но, ето, Господ те въздържа от почит.
Return to thy place. I had determined indeed greatly to honour thee, but the Lord hath deprived thee of the honour designed for thee.
12 А Валаам рече на Валака: Не говорих ли аз и на твоите посланици, които ми прати, като казах:
Balaam made answer to Balac: Did I not say to thy messengers, whom thou sentest to me:
13 Ако би ми дал Валак и къщата си пълна със сребро и злато, не мога да престъпя Господното повеление и да направя добро или зло от себе си, но онова, което Господ проговори, него ще кажа?
If Balac would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the Lord my God, to utter any thing of my own head either good or evil: but whatsoever the Lord shall say, that I will speak?
14 И сега, ето, аз си отивам при своите люде; ела да ти кажа какво ще направят тия люде на твоите люде в последните дни.
But yet going to my people, I will give thee counsel, what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.
15 И като почна притчата си, рече: - Валаам син Веоров каза, И човекът с отворени очи каза:
Therefore taking up his parable, again he said: Balaam the son of Beor hath said: The man whose eye is stopped up, hath said:
16 Каза оня, който чу думите Божии, Който има знание за Всевишния, Който падна в изтъпление, но очите му бяха отворени:
The hearer of the words of God hath said, who knoweth the doctrine of the Highest, and seeth the visions of the Almighty, who falling hath his eyes opened:
17 Виждам го, но не сега; Гледам го, но не отблизо; Ще излезе звезда от Якова, И ще се въздигне скиптър от Израиля; Ще порази моавските първенци, И ще погуби всичките Ситови потомци.
I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not near. A STAR SHALL RISE out of Jacob and a sceptre shall spring up from Israel: and shall strike the chiefs of Moab, and shall waste all the children of Seth.
18 Едом ще бъде притежаван, Още Сиир ще бъде притежаван от неприятелите си; А Израил ще действува мощно.
And he shall possess Idumea: the inheritance of Seir shall come to their enemies, but Israel shall do manfully.
19 Един произлязъл от Якова ще завладее И ще погуби останалите от града.
Out of Jacob shall he come that shall rule, and shall destroy the remains of the city.
20 А като видя Амалика, продължи притчата си и каза: - Амалик е пръв между народите; Но най-сетне съвсем ще се изтреби.
And when he saw Amalec, he took up his parable, and said: Amalec the beginning of nations, whose latter ends shall be destroyed.
21 А като видя кенейците продължи притчата си и каза: - Яко е твоето жилище, И положил си гнездото си на канарата,
He saw also the Cinite: and took up his parable, and said: Thy habitation indeed is strong: but though thou build thy nest in a rock,
22 Но кенейците ще се разорят Догде те заплени Асур.
And thou be chosen of the stock of Cin, how long shalt thou be able to continue? For Assur shall take thee captive.
23 Още продължи притчата си и каза: - Уви! кой ще остане жив, Когато Бог извърши това?
And taking up his parable, again he said: Alas, who shall live when God shall do these things?
24 Но кораби ще дойдат от крайморията на Китим, И ще смирят Асура, и ще смирят Евера; Но и дошлите съвсем ще се изтребят.
They shall come in galleys from Italy, they shall overcome the Assyrians, and shall waste the Hebrews, and at the last they themselves also shall perish.
25 Тогава, като стана Валаам, тръгна и се върна на мястото си; също и Валак отиде по пътя си.
And Balaam rose, and returned to his place: Balac also returned the way that he came.
