Иоил 2
1 Затръбете в Сион, И дайте тревога в светия ми хълм; Нека се разтреперят всичките жители на страната; Защото иде денят Господен, защото е близо,
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion; Sound an alarm in my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble! For the day of Jehovah cometh, for it is near!
2 Ден тъмен и мъглив, Ден облачен и мрачен, Бързащ като зората, която се разпростира върху планините; Идат люде много и силни, Подобни на които не е имало от века, Нито подир тях ще има до годините на много поколения.
A day of darkness, and gloominess, A day of clouds, and thick darkness. As the morning light spreadeth itself upon the mountains, There cometh a numerous people and a strong; Like them there have been none of old time, And after them there shall not be, Even to the years of many generations.
3 Огън пояжда пред тях, И пламък опаля подир тях; Земята пред тях е като Едемската градина, А зад тях гола пустиня; Да! нищо не е избегнало от тях.
A fire devoureth before them, And behind them a flame burneth; The land is as the garden of Eden before them. And behind them a desolate wilderness! Yea, nothing escapeth them.
4 Изгледът им е като изгледа на коне; И тичат като конници.
Their appearance is like the appearance of horses, And like horsemen do they run;
5 Като тропот от колесници се чува Като скачат по върховете на бърдата, Като пращение на огнен пламък, който пояжда тръстика, Като шум на силни люде, опълчени на бой.
Like rattling chariots they leap on the tops of the mountains; Like the crackling flame of fire, which devoureth stubble; Like a mighty host set in battle array.
6 Пред тях племената се измъчват, Всичките лица побледняват.
Before them the people tremble, And all faces gather blackness.
7 Те тичат като юнаци; Като военни мъже качат се на стената, И маршируват всеки в пътя си Без да развалят редовете си.
They run like mighty men; They climb the wall like warriors; They march every one on his way; They change not their paths.
8 Не се тласкат един друг; Маршируват всеки в своя път; И даже като падат около оръжията Не спират вървежа си.
One doth not thrust another; They march every one in his path, And though they rush among weapons, they are not wounded.
9 Спускат се върху града, Тичат по стената, Качват се по къщите, Влизат през прозорците като крадец.
They run through the city; They run upon the wall; They go up into the houses; They enter in at the windows, like a thief.
10 Земята се тресе пред тях, Небето трепери, Слънцето и луната потъмняват, И звездите оттеглят светенето си.
The earth quaketh before them, And the heavens tremble; The sun and the moon are darkened, And the stars withdraw their shining.
11 И Господ издава гласа си пред тая си войска; Защото станът му е много голям; Защото е силен оня, който изпълнява словото си; Защото денят Господен е велик и твърде страшен; И кой може да го изтърпи?
Jehovah uttereth his voice before his army; For very great is his host; Yea, it is mighty, executing his word; The day of Jehovah is great, and very terrible; Who shall be able to bear it?
12 Но, казва Господ, даже и сега се обърнете към Мене С всичкото си сърце, С пост, с плач, и с ридание;
Yet even now, saith Jehovah, Turn ye to me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning!
13 И раздерете сърцето си, а не дрехите си, Та се обърнете към Господа вашия Бог; Защото милостив и щедър, Дълготърпелив и многомилостив, И разкайва се за злото.
And rend your hearts, and not your garments, And turn to Jehovah your God, For he is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness, And repenteth of a threatened evil.
14 Кой знае дали Той не ще се повърне и разкае, Та остави благословение след себе си, Колкото за хлебен принос и възлияние на Господа вашия Бог?
Who knoweth but he will turn and repent, And leave a blessing behind him, Even a flour-offering and a drink-offering for Jehovah your God.
15 Затръбете в Сион, Осветете пост, свикайте тържествено събрание;
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion; Appoint yea fast; proclaim a solemn assembly!
16 Съберете людете, осветете събранието, Свикайте старейшините, Съберете младенците и сучащите; Нека излезе младоженецът из спалнята си, И невястата из стаята си;
Gather the people; appoint a congregation; Assemble the elders; Gather the children and the sucklings! Let the bridegroom come forth from his chamber, And the bride from her nuptial bed!
17 Нека плачат свещениците, Служителите Господни, Между предхрамието и олтара, И нека рекат; Пощади, Господи, людете си, И не предавай наследството си на позор, Та да ги владеят народите. Защо да рекат между племената - Де е техният Бог?
Let the priests, the servants of Jehovah, Weep between the porch and the altar, And say, Spare thy people, O Jehovah, And give not thine inheritance to reproach, And to be a by-word to the nations! Why should they say among the nations, Where is their God?
18 Тогава Господ поревнува за земята си, И се смили за людете си.
Then will Jehovah be zealous for his land, And have compassion on his people,
19 И Господ рече в отговор на людете си: Ето, аз ще ви пратя житото, Виното, и маслото, та ще с наситите от тях, И няма вече да ви направя за позор между народите;
Yea, Jehovah will answer, and say to his people, Behold, I will send you corn, And new wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith; And I will no more make you a reproach among the nations.
20 Но ще отдалеча от вас северната язва, и ще я оттласна в безвода и пуста земя, С предната й страна към източното море, А западната й страна към западното море; И воня ще възлезе от нея, И смрад ще се издигне от нея, Защото е извършила надути работи.
I will remove far from you the northern host, And I will drive it into a dry and desolate land; Its van toward the Eastern sea, And its rear toward the Western sea. And its scent shall come up, And its ill savor shall come up, Because it hath done great things.
21 Не бой се, земльо; радвай се и весели се; Защото Господ извърши велики дела.
Fear not, O land, exult and rejoice, For Jehovah hath done great things!
22 Не се плашете, полски животни; Защото пасбищата на целината поникват, Защото дървото ражда плода си, Смоковницата и лозата дават силата си.
Fear not, O ye beasts of the field, For the pastures of the desert spring up, For the tree beareth its fruit; The fig-tree and the vine yield their strength!
23 Радвайте се, прочее, и вие, Сионови чада, И веселете се в Господа вашия Бог; Защото ви дава есенен дъжд със справедлива мярка, И ви наваля дъжд - есенен и пролетен - В първия месец.
And, O ye sons of Zion, exult, And rejoice in Jehovah your God! For he giveth you the former rain in just measure, And causeth showers to come down upon you, Even the former rain, and the latter rain, as aforetime.
24 Гумната ще се напълнят с жито, И линовете ще се преливат с вино и масло.
And the threshing-floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.
25 И ще ви възвърна годините, които изпояде скакалецът, Изедникът, пръгът, и лапачът, Моята голяма войска, която пратих между вас.
And I will restore to you the years Which the swarming-locust hath eaten, The licking-locust, the consuming-locust, and the gnawing-locusts, My great army, which I sent among you.
26 И ще ядете изобилно и ще се наситите, И ще хвалите името на Господа вашия Бог, който е постъпвал чудесно с вас; И людете ми няма никога да се посрамят.
Ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, And praise the name of Jehovah your God, Who hath dealt wondrously with you; And my people shall never be put to shame.
27 И ще познаете, че аз съм всред Израиля, И че съм Господ вашият Бог, и че няма друг; И людете ми няма никога да се посрамят.
Ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, And that I am Jehovah, your God, and none else; And my people shall never be put to shame.
28 И след това Ще излея Духа си на всяка твар; И синовете ви и дъщерите ви ще пророкуват, Старците ви ще виждат сънища, Юношите ви ще виждат видения;
And it shall come to pass afterward, That I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy; Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.
29 Още и на слугите и на слугините Ще изливам Духа си в ония дни.
Upon the men-servants also, and upon the handmaids, Will I pour out my spirit in those days.
30 И ще покажа чудеса на небето и на земята, Кръв, огън, и стълпове от дим.
And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth; Blood and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 Слънцето ще се обърне в тъмнина, И луната в кръв, Преди да дойде великият и страшен ден Господен.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the day of Jehovah cometh, The great and the terrible day. Then whoever calleth on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered;
32 И всеки, който призове името Господне ще се избави; Защото в хълма Сион и в Ерусалим ще има избавени, Както рече Господ, И между оцелелите ония, които Господ ще повика.
For upon mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, shall be deliverance, As Jehovah hath spoken; And among the remnant, whom Jehovah shall call.
