Йов 40
1 Господ говори на Иова и каза:
Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said:
2 Тоя, която е изобличил Всемогъщият, ще ли се бори с Него? Тоя, който се препира с Бога, нека отговори на всичко това.
Shall he that reproveth contend with the Almighty? He that argueth with God, let him answer it.
3 Тогава Иов отговори Господу, казвайки:
Then Job answered the LORD, and said:
4 Ето, аз съм нищожен; какво да Ти отговоря? Турям ръката си на устата си.
Behold, I am of small account; what shall I answer Thee? I lay my hand upon my mouth.
5 Веднъж съм говорил, и не ще да отговарям вече, Дори дваж, но няма да повторя.
Once have I spoken, but I will not answer again; yea, twice, but I will proceed no further.
6 Тогава Господ отговори на Иова из бурята, като каза:
Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:
7 Опаши сега кръста си като мъж; Аз ще те попитам, и ти Ми изявявай.
Gird up thy loins now like a man; I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto Me.
8 Дори не ще ли допускаш Моята съдба? Ще осъдиш ли Мене, за да оправдаеш себе си?
Wilt thou even make void My judgment? Wilt thou condemn Me, that thou mayest be justified?
9 Или имаш ли мишца като Бога? И можеш ли да гърмиш с глас като Него?
Or hast thou an arm like God? And canst thou thunder with a voice like Him?
10 Украси се сега с превъсходство и достолепие, И облечи се в чест и величие.
Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency, and array thyself with glory and beauty.
11 Изсипвай преливащия си гняв; И гледай на всеки горделив, и смирявай го;
Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath; and look upon every one that is proud, and abase him.
12 Гледай на всеки горделив, и снишавай го; И стъпквай нечестивите на мястото им;
Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.
13 Скрий го купно в пръстта; Вържи лицата им в скрито място.
Hide them in the dust together; bind their faces in the hidden place.
14 Тогава и Аз ще изповядам пред тебе, Че твоята десница може да те спаси.
Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.
15 Ето сега речния кон който съм направил както и тебе; Яде трева като вол.
Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
16 Ето сега, силата му е в чреслата му, И якостта му е в мускулите на корема му.
Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the stays of his body.
17 Клати опашката си като кедър; Жилите на бедрата му са сплотени.
He straineth his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are knit together.
18 Костите му са като медни цеви; Ребрата му са като железни лостове.
His bones are as pipes of brass; his gristles are like bars of iron.
19 Той е изящното дело Божие; Оня, Който го е направил, го е снабдил с меча Си.
He is the beginning of the ways of God; He only that made him can make His sword to approach unto him.
20 Наистина планините промишляват за него храна. Гдето играят всичките полски зверове.
Surely the mountains bring him forth food, and all the beasts of the field play there.
21 Ляга под сенчестите дървета, В съкровището на тръстиката, и в блатата;
He lieth under the lotus-trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
22 Сенчестите дървета го покриват със сянката си; Върбите на потоците го обкръжават.
The lotus-trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
23 Ето, ако би придошла река, той не трепери; Не се смущава, ако би се и Иордан устремил по устата му.
Behold, if a river overflow, he trembleth not; he is confident, though the Jordan rush forth to his mouth.
24 Може ли някой да го хване когато е на щрек. Или да прободе носа му с примка?
Shall any take him by his eyes, or pierce through his nose with a snare?
