Йов 15
1 Тогава теманецът Елифад в отговор рече:
Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said:
2 Мъдър човек с вятърничаво ли знание отговаря, И с източен вятър ли пълни корема си?
Should a wise man make answer with windy knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
3 С празни думи ли се препира И с безполезни речи?
Should he reason with unprofitable talk, or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
4 Наистина ти унищожаваш страха от Бога, И намаляваш моленето пред Него.
Yea, thou doest away with fear, and impairest devotion before God.
5 Защото беззаконието ти поучава устата ти, И си избрал езика на лукавите.
For thine iniquity teacheth thy mouth, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.
6 Твоите уста те осъждат, а не аз; Твоите устни свидетелствуват против тебе.
Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I; yea, thine own lips testify against thee.
7 Ти ли си първородният човек? Или създаден ли си преди хълмите?
Art thou the first man that was born? Or wast thou brought forth before the hills?
8 Чул ли си ти Божиите тайни намерения? Или си заключил в себе си мъдростта?
Dost thou hearken in the council of God? And dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?
9 Що знаеш ти, което ние не знаем? Що разбираш ти, което няма у нас?
What knowest thou, that we know not? What understandest thou, which is not in us?
10 Има и между нас и белокоси и престарели, По-напреднали на възраст и от баща ти.
With us are both the gray-headed and the very aged men, much older than thy father.
11 Божиите утешения и меките Му към тебе думи Малко нещо ли са за тебе?
Are the consolations of God too small for thee, and the word that dealeth gently with thee?
12 Какво те блазни сърцето ти, И на какво смигат очите ти,
Why doth thy heart carry thee away? And why do thine eyes wink?
13 Та обръщаш духа си против Бога, И изпущаш такива думи из устата си?
That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth.
14 Що е човек та да е чист, И роденият от жена та да е праведен?
What is man, that he should be clean? And he that is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
15 Ето, на светите Си ангели Той не се доверява, И небесата не са чисти в очите Му;
Behold, He putteth no trust in His holy ones; yea, the heavens are not clean in His sight.
16 Колко повече е гнусен и непотребен човек, Който пие неправда, като вода!
How much less one that is abominable and impure, man who drinketh iniquity like water!
17 Аз ще ти кажа, послушай ме; И това, което съм видял, ще ти изявя,
I will tell thee, hear thou me; and that which I have seen I will declare —
18 (Което мъдрите не скриха, но възвестиха, Както бяха чули от бащите си;
Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it;
19 На които биде дадена земята, и само на тях, И чужденец не замина между тях; )
Unto whom alone the land was given, and no stranger passed among them.
20 Нечестивият се мъчи през всичките си дни; И преброени години са запазени за мъчителя.
The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, even the number of years that are laid up for the oppressor.
21 Ужасни гласове има в ушите му, Че като е в спокойствие ще го нападне изтребителят;
A sound of terrors is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.
22 Не вярва, че ще се върне от тъмнината; И той е очакван от ножа;
He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.
23 Скита се да търси хляб, казвайки: Где е? Знае, че денят на тъмнината е готов до ръката му;
He wandereth abroad for bread: 'Where is it?' He knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.
24 Скръб и тъга го плашат, Като цар приготвен за бой му надвиват.
Distress and anguish overwhelm him; they prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.
25 Понеже той простря ръката си против Бога, И възгордя се против Всемогъщия,
Because he hath stretched out his hand against God, and behaveth himself proudly against the Almighty;
26 Спусна се на Него с корав врат, С дебелите изпъкналости на щитовете си.
He runneth upon him with a stiff neck, with the thick bosses of his bucklers.
27 Понеже покри лицето си с тлъстината си, И, затлъсти кръста си,
Because he hath covered his face with his fatness, and made collops of fat on his loins;
28 Той се засели в разорени градове, В къщи необитаеми, Готови да станат на купове.
And he hath dwelt in desolate cities, in houses which no man would inhabit, which were ready to become heaps.
29 Няма да се обогати, и имотът му няма да трае, Нито ще се навеждат до земята произведенията им.
He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall their produce bend to the earth.
30 Няма да се отърве от тъмнината; Пламък ще изсуши младоците му; И от дишането на Божиите уста ще бъде завлечен.
He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of His mouth shall he go away.
31 Нека не се доверява на суетата, самоизмамен; Защото суета ще бъде заплатата му.
Let him not trust in vanity, deceiving himself; for vanity shall be his recompense.
32 Преди времето си ще се изплати, И клонът му няма да раззеленее,
It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be leafy.
33 Ще изрони неузрялото си грозде като лозата, И ще хвърли цвета си като маслината.
He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive.
34 Защото дружината на нечестивите ще запустее; И огън ще пояде шатрите на подкупничеството.
For the company of the godless shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tents of bribery.
35 Зачват зло, и раждат беззаконие, И сърцето им подготвя измама.
They conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity, and their belly prepareth deceit.
