Еремия 6
1 Вениаминци, бягайте отсред Ерусалим, Затръбете в Текуе, и издигнете знак във Вет-акерем; Защото зло предстои от север, И голяма погибел.
Sones of Beniamyn, be ye coumfortid in the myddil of Jerusalem, and make ye noise with a clarioun in Thecua, and reise ye a baner on Bethecarem; for whi yuel and greet sorewe is seyn fro the north.
2 Красивата и изнежена жена Сионовата дъщеря ще изтребя.
Y haue licned the douytir of Sion to a fair womman and delicat.
3 Овчарите и стадата им ще дойдат при нея, Ще разпъват шатрите си против нея от всяка страна, Ще пасат всеки на мястото си;
Scheepherdis and her flockis schulen come to it; thei han piyt tentis in it in cumpas; ech man schal feede hem, that ben vndur his hond.
4 Ще извикат: Пригответе война против нея, Станете, и нека възлезем на пладне; Горко ни! защото преваля денят, Защото се простират вечерните сенки;
Halewe ye batel on it. Rise ye togidire, and stie we in myddai. Wo to vs, for the dai is bowid doun, for shadewis ben maad lengere in the euentid.
5 Станете, и да възлезем през нощта, И да съборим палатите й;
Rise ye, and stie we in the niyt, and distry we the housis therof.
6 Защото така казва Господ на Силите: Отсечете дърветата й, И издигнете могила против Ерусалим; Тоя е градът, който трябва да се накаже, Само насилие има в него.
For the Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Kitte ye doun the tre therof, and schede ye erthe aboute Jerusalem; this is the citee of visitacioun; al fals caleng is in the myddis therof.
7 Както блика вода от извора, Така блика злото от него; Насилие и грабеж се чува в него, Пред Мене непрестанно има болест и рани.
As a cisterne makith his water coold, so it made his malice coold; wickidnesse and distriyng schal euer be herd ther ynne bifore me, sikenesse and wounde.
8 Приеми поука, Ерусалиме, Да не би да се отвръща душата Ми от тебе, Да не би да те направя пустиня, земя ненаселена.
Jerusalem, be thou tauyt, lest perauenture my soule go awei fro thee; lest perauenture Y sette thee forsakun, a loond vnhabitable.
9 Така казва Господ на Силите: Ще берат и ще оберат останалите от Израиля като лозе; Пак простри ръката си както гроздоберач към пръчките.

10 Кому да говоря, и пред кого да заявя, за да чуят? Ето, ухото им е необрязано та не могат да чуят; Ето, словото Господно стана укорно за тях, Те не благоволят в него.
To whom schal Y speke, and to whom schal Y seie witnessing, that he here? Lo! the eeris of hem ben vncircumcidid, and thei moun not here; lo! the word of the Lord is maad to hem in to dispit, and thei schulen not resseiue it.
11 Затова съм пълен с яростта на Господа, Уморих се да се въздържам; Ще я изливам върху децата по улиците, И върху целия сбор на младежите; Защото ще бъдат грабнати и мъж с жена, Старец заедно с престарял.
Therfor Y am ful of the strong veniaunce of the Lord, and Y trauelide suffrynge. Schede thou out on a litil child with outforth, and on the counsel of yonge men togidere; for a man with his wijf schal be takun, and an eeld man with him that is ful of daies.
12 Къщите им ще преминат на други, Също и полетата и жените им; Защото ще простра ръката Си Върху жителите на тая страна, казва Господ;
And the housis of hem, the feeldis and wyues togidere, schulen go to othere men; for Y schal stretche forth myn hond on the dwelleris of the lond, seith the Lord.
13 Защото от малък до голям Всеки от тях се е предал на сребролюбие, И от пророк до свещеник Всеки постъпва лъжливо.
For fro the lesse `til to the grettere, alle studien to auerise; and alle doon gile, fro the profete `til to the preest.
14 Повърхностно са лекували те раната на людете Ми, Като са казвали: Мир, мир! а пък няма мир.
And thei heeliden the sorewe of the douyter of my puple with yuel fame, seiynge, Pees, pees, and no pees was.
15 Засрамиха ли се, когато извършиха мерзости? Не, никак не ги досрамя, Нито са знаели да почервенеят; Затова, ще паднат между падащите, Ще бъдат поваляни, когато ги накажа, казва Господ.

16 Така казва Господ: Застанете на пътищата та вижте, И попитайте за древните пътеки, Где е добрият път, и ходете по него, И ще намерите покой за душите си; Но те рекоха: Не щем да ходим в него.
The Lord seith these thingis, Stonde ye on weies, and se ye, and axe ye of elde pathis, which is the good weie; and go ye ther ynne, and ye schulen fynde refreischyng to youre soulis. And thei seiden, We schulen not go.
17 Поставих и пазачи над вас Та казах: Слушайте гласа на тръбата; Но те рекоха: Не щем да слушаме.
And Y ordeynede aspieris on you, and Y seide, Here ye the vois of a trumpe. And thei seiden, We schulen not here.
18 Затова, слушайте народи, И ти, съборе, узнай що има между тях.
Therfor, hethene men, here ye, and, thou congregacioun, knowe, hou grete thingis Y schal do to hem.
19 Слушай земьо! Ето, аз ще докарам зло върху тия люде, Дори плода на помислите им; Защото не послушаха словата ми, А колкото за закона Ми, те го отхвърлиха.
Thou erthe, here, lo! Y schal brynge yuels on this puple, the fruit of her thouytis; for thei herden not my wordis, and castiden awei my lawe.
20 Защо Ми е ливанът що донасят от Сава, И благовонната тръстика от далечна страна? Всеизгарянията ви не Ми са приятни. Нито жертвите ви угодни.
Wherto bryngen ye to me encense fro Saba, and a tre of spicerie smellynge swetli fro a fer lond? Youre brent sacrifices ben not acceptid, and youre slayn sacrifices plesiden not me.
21 Затова, така казва Господ: Ето, Аз ще поставя пред тия люде препънки, О, които ще се спъват бащите и синовете заедно; И съседът и приятелят му ще загинат заедно.
Therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal yyue fallyngis in to this puple, and fadris and sones togidere, a neiybore and kynesman, schulen falle in hem, and schulen perische.
22 Така казва Господ: Ето, люде идат от северната страна, И велик народ ще се подигне от краищата на земята.
The Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! a puple cometh fro the lond of the north, and a greet folk schal rise togidere fro the endis of erthe.
23 Лък и копие държат, Жестоки са, и немилостиви; Гласът им бучи като море, Възседнали са на коне, Всеки опълчен, както мъж за бой, Против тебе, дъщерьо сионова.
It schal take an arowe and scheld; it is cruel, and schal not haue merci; the vois therof schal sowne as the see, and thei maad redi as a man to batel schulen stie on horsis ayens thee, thou douyter of Sion.
24 Откакто сме чули вест за тях Ръцете ни ослабнаха, Мъки ни обзеха и болки, Като на жена, която ражда.
We herden the fame therof, oure hondis ben `a clumsid; tribulacioun hath take vs, sorewis han take vs as a womman trauelinge of child.
25 Не излизайте на полето, и на път не ходете, Защото мечът на неприятеля и ужасът са от всяка страна.
Nyle ye go out to the feeldis, and go ye not in the weie, for the swerd of the enemye, drede in cumpas.
26 Дъщерьо на людете Ми, препаши се с вретище И валяй се в пепел; Жалей като за единороден син, Заплачи горчиво, Защото разрушителят ще дойде внезапно върху нас.
The douytir of my puple, be thou gird with heire, and be thou spreynt togidere with aische; make to thee mourenyng of oon aloone gendrid sone, a bitter weilyng, for whi a wastere schal come sodenli on you.
27 Поставих те изпитател и крепост между людете Си, За да узнаеш и да изпиташ пътя им.
I yaf thee a strong preuere in my puple, and thou schalt knowe, and preue the weie of hem.
28 Те всички са крайни отстъпници, които разпространяват клевети; Мед са и желязо; те всички постъпват разтленно.
Alle these princis bowynge awei, goynge gilefuli, ben metal and irun; alle ben corrupt.
29 Духалото изгоря; оловото се изпояде от огъня: Разтопителят напразно разтопява, Защото злите не се отделиха.
The belu failide, leed is waastid in the fier, the wellere wellide in veyn; for the malices of hem ben not wastid.
30 Сребро за смет ще ги нарекат, Защото Господ ги е отхвърлил.
Clepe ye hem repreuable siluer, for the Lord hath cast hem awei.
