Еремия 14
1 Господното слово, което дойде към Еремия за бездъждието:
The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah concerning the drought.
2 Юда ридае, и людете в портите му са изнемощели; Седят на земя чернооблечени; И викът на Ерусалим се издигна.
Judah mourneth, and her gates languish; they lie grieved on the ground; and the distressed cry of Jerusalem ascendeth upward.
3 Големците му пращат подчинените си за вода; Те отиват при кладенците, но не намират вода; Връщат се с празните си съдове; Посрамват се и се смущават и покриват главите си.
And their nobles have sent out their subordinates for water: they come to the pits, they find no water; they return with their vessels empty; they are ashamed and confounded, and cover their head.
4 Понеже земята се пукна, Защото няма дъжд на земята, Затова орачите се посрамват, Покриват главите си.
Because of the ground which is cracked open, since there hath been no rain in the land, are the ploughmen ashamed, they cover their head.
5 Още и кошутата ражда на полето И оставя рожбата си, понеже няма трева.
Yea, the hind also bringeth forth her young in the field, and forsaketh [them], because there is no grass.
6 И дивите осли, като застават по голите височини, Задушават се за въздух като чакали; Очите им чезнат понеже няма трева.
And the wild asses stand on the mountain-tops, they snuff up the wind like serpents: their eyes fail, because there are no herbs.
7 Господи, при все че беззаконията ни свидетелствуват против нас, Ти действувай заради името Си; Защото отстъпничествата ни са много; На тебе съгрешихме.
If our iniquities testify against us, O Lord, do thou act for the sake of thy name; for our backslidings are many; against thee have we sinned.
8 Надеждо на Израиля, Спасителю негов в скръбно време, Защо да си като пришълец в тая страна, И като пътник, отбил се да пренощува?
O thou hope of Israel, his saviour in time of trouble, why shouldst thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfarer that turneth aside to lodge for a night?
9 Защо да си като човек смаян, Като силен мъж, който не може да избави? Обаче Ти, Господи, си всред нас; Ние се наричаме с Твоето име; недей ни оставя.
Why shouldst thou be as a man that is surprised, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou art in the midst of us, O Lord, and we are called by thy name: abandon us not.
10 Така казва Господ на тоя народ: Както обикнаха да се скитат, И не въздържаха нозете си, Така Господ не благоволи в тях; Сега ще си спомни беззаконието им, И ще накаже греховете им.
Thus hath said the Lord unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander about, their feet have they not restrained: therefore the Lord doth not receive them in favor; now will he remember their iniquity, and will punish their sins.
11 И рече им Господ: Недей се моли за доброто на тия люде.
Then said the Lord unto me, Pray not in behalf of this people for their good.
12 Даже ако постят, не ще послушам вика им, И ако принесат всеизгаряния и приноси, Не ще благоволя в тях; Но ще ги довърша с нож, с глад, и мор.
When they fast, I will not hear their entreaty: and when they offer burnt-offering and meat-offering, I will not receive them in favor; but by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence, will I make an end of them.
13 Тогава рекох: Уви, Господи Иеова! Ето, пророците казват на тях: Няма да видите нож, нито ще има глад у вас, Но ще ви дам сигурен мир на това място.
Then said I, Ah, Lord Eternal! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but a permanent peace will I give you in this place.
14 Тогава ми рече Господ: Лъжливо пророкуват пророците в името Ми; Аз не съм ги пратил, нито им съм заповядал, Нито съм им говорил; Те ви пророкуват лъжливо видение, гадание, Суетата и измамата на своето сърце.
Then said the Lord unto me, Falsehood do the prophets prophesy in my name; I have not sent them, neither have I commanded them, neither have I spoken unto them: a vision of falsehood, and divination, and idolatrous folly, and the deceit of their heart do they prophesy unto you.
15 Затова, така казва Господ За пророците, които пророкуват в Моето име Без да съм ги изпратил, Но които казват: Нож и глад не ще има в тая страна, - С нож и с глад ще бъдат изтребени тия пророци.
Therefore thus hath said the Lord concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, when I have not sent them, while they say, Sword and famine shall not come in this land: By the sword and by the famine shall these prophets come to their end.
16 А людете, на които те пророкуват, Ще бъдат изхвърлени по ерусалимските улици, Загинали от глад и от нож; И не ще има кой да ги заравя, Тях и жените им, синовете им и дъщерите им; Защото ще излея върху тях собственото им зло.
And the people to whom they prophesy shall lie cast down in the streets of Jerusalem by means of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters; for I will pour out their wickedness over them.
17 И ще им кажеш това слово: Нека ронят очите ми сълзи нощем и денем Без да престанат; Защото девицата, дъщерята на людете ми, Е поразена с голямо поразяване, с много люта рана.
But thou shalt say unto them this word. My eyes shall run down with tears night and day, and they shall not cease; for with a great breach is the virgin-daughter of my people broken, with a very painful blow.
18 Ако изляза на полето, Ето убитите с нож! И ако вляза в града, Ето изнемощелите от глад! Дори пророкът и свещеникът Обходиха земята, но не знаят какво да се направи.
If I go forth into the field, behold, there are the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, behold, there are those that are sick with famine! for both the prophet and the priest travel round into a land that they know not.
19 Отхвърлил ли си съвсем Юда? Погнусила ли се е душата Ти от Сион? Защо си ни поразил, та няма изцеление за нас? Очаквахме мир, но никакво добро не дойде, И време за изцеление, но, ето, смущение!
Hast thou entirely rejected Judah? or hath thy soul loathing on Zion? why hast thou smitten us, so that there is no healing for us? we hoped for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold, there is terror!
20 Признаваме, Господи, нечестието си, И беззаконието на бащите си, Защото сме Ти съгрешили.
We know, O Lord, our wickedness, the iniquity of our fathers; for we have sinned against thee.
21 Заради името Си недей се погнусява от нас, Не опозорявай славния Си престол; Спомни си, не нарушавай завета Си с нас.
Do not cast us off, for the sake of thy name, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us.
22 Между идолите на народите има ли някой да дава дъжд? Или небето от себе си ли дава дъждове? Не си ли Ти, Който даваш, Господи, Боже наш? Затова, Тебе те чакаме, Защото Ти си сторил всичко това.
Are there any among the vanities of the nations those that bestow rain? or can the heavens give forth showers? Behold, thou art this, O Lord our God, and we will hope in thee; for thou hast done all these things.
