Евреи 4

1 И тъй, понеже ни остава обещание да влезем в Неговата почивка, нека се боим да не би да се открие, че някой от вас не е достигнал до нея.

Let us fear, therefore, lest, as a promise of entering into his rest still remains, any of you should seem to come short of it.

2 Защото на нас се донесе едно благовестие, както и на тях; но словото, което те чуха, не ги ползува, понеже не се съедини чрез вяра в ония, които го чуха.

For we have had the good news preached to us, even as they had: but the word preached did not profit them, for it was not mixed with faith in those who heard it.

3 Затова ние, повярвалите, влизаме в тая почивка; както рече Бог:

For we who have believed are to enter into rest, as he said: So I swore in my anger, they shall not enter into my rest; namely, that rest from his works which had been finished from the foundation of the world.

4 Защото нейде си е говорил за самия ден така: "И почина си Бог на седмия ден от всичките Си дела";

For he spoke in a certain place of the seventh day, thus: And God did rest on the seventh day from all his works;

5 а пък на това място: "Няма да влязат в Моята почивка".

and in this place again: They shall not enter into my rest.

6 И тъй, понеже остава да влязат някои в нея, а ония, на които по-напред се благовести, не са влезли поради неверието ( Или: Непокорството ) си,

Since, then, it remains that some must enter into it, and they, to whom the good news was first preached, did not enter in on account of unbelief,

7 затова Той пак определя един ден, "днес", като казва толкоз време по-после чрез Давида, както вече рекохме: "Днес, ако чуете Неговия глас, Не закоравявайте сърдцата си".

again, he determines a certain day, saying in David, after so long a time, To-day, as it is said, To-day, if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

8 Защото, ако Исус Навиев беше им дал почивка, Бог не би говорил след това за друг ден.

For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not, after this, have spoken of another day.

9 Следователно, за Божиите люде остава една съботна почивка. ( Виж. ст. 4. )

There remains, therefore, a sabbath-state for the people of God.

10 Защото оня, който е влязъл в Неговата почивка, той си е починал от своите дела, както и Бог от Своите Си.

For he that has entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

11 Затова нека се постараем да влезем в тая почивка, за да не падне някой в това, да дава същия пример на неверие.

Let us earnestly strive, therefore, to enter into that rest, lest any one fall after the same example of unbelief.

12 Защото Божието слово е живо, деятелно, по-остро от всеки меч остър и от двете страни, пронизва до разделяне душата и духа, ставите и мозъка, и издирва помислите и намеренията на сърдцето.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and pierces even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

13 И няма създание, което да не е явно пред Бога; но всичко е голо и разкрито пред очите на Този, на Когото има да отговаряме.

And there is no creature which is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked, and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.

14 И тъй, като имаме велик Първосвещеник Исуса, Божия Син, Който е преминал до най-високите небеса, нека държим това, което сме изповядали.

Seeing, then, that we have a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

15 Защото нямаме такъв първосвещеник, Който да не може да състрадава с нас в нашите немощи, а имаме Един, Който е бил във всичко изкушен като нас, но пак без грях.

For we have not a high priest that can not sympathize with our infirmities; but he was tempted in all things like ourselves, yet without sin.

16 Затова, нека пристъпваме с дръзновение към престола на благодатта, за да придобием милост, и да намерим благодат, която да помага благовременно.

Let us come, therefore, with boldness, to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and find grace to help in every time of need.
