Битие 28
1 Тогава Исаак повика Якова и като го благослови, поръча му, казвайки: Да не вземеш жена от ханаанските дъщери.
And so Isaac clepide Jacob, and blesside hym, and comaundide to hym, and seide, Nyle thou take a wijf of the kyn of Canaan; but go thou,
2 Стани, иди в Падан-арам, в дома на майчиния ти баща Ватуил, и от там вземи жена, от дъщерите на вуйчо ти Лавана.
and walke forth in to Mesopotanye of Sirie, to the hows of Batuel, fadir of thi modir, and take to thee of thennus a wijf of the douytris of Laban, thin vncle.
3 И Бог Всемогъщи да те благослови и да те наплоди и умножи, така щото да произлязат от тебе редица племена;
Sotheli Almyyti God blesse thee, and make thee to encreesse, and multiplie thee, that thou be in to cumpanyes of puplis;
4 и даденото на Авраама благословение да го даде на тебе и на потомството ти с тебе, за да наследиш земята, в която си пришелец, която Бог даде на Авраама.
and God yyue to thee the blessyngis of Abraham, and to thi seed aftir thee, that thou welde the lond of thi pilgrymage, which he bihiyte to thi grauntsir.
5 Така Исаак изпрати Якова; и той отиде в Падан-арам при Лавана, син на сириеца Ватуила, и брат на Ревека, майка на Якова и Исава.
And whanne Ysaac hadde left hym, he yede forth, and cam in to Mesopotanye of Sirie, to Laban, the sone of Batuel of Sirie, the brother of Rebecca, his modir.
6 А Исав, като видя, че Исаак благослови Якова и го изпрати в Падан-арам, да си вземе жена от там, и, че, като го благослови, поръча му, казвайки: Да не вземеш жена от Ханаанските дъщери;
Forsothe Esau seiy that his fadir hadde blessid Jacob, and hadde sent him in to Mesopotanye of Sirie, that he schulde wedde a wijf of thennus, and that aftir the blessyng he comaundide to Jacob, and seide, Thou schalt not take a wijf of the douytris of Canaan;
7 че Яков послуша баща си и майка си, та отиде в Падан-арам;
and that Jacob obeiede to his fadir `and modir, and yede in to Sirie;
8 и като видя Исав, че ханаанските дъщери не се нравеха на баща му Исаака,
also Esau preuyde that his fadir bihelde not gladli the douytris of Canaan.
9 то Исав отиде при Исмаила и, освен другите си жени, взе за жена и Маелета, дъщеря на Авраамовия син Исмаил, сестра на Новаита.
And he yede to Ismael, and weddide a wijf, with out these whiche he hadde bifore, Melech, the douyter of Ismael, sone of Abraham, the sistir of Nabaioth.
10 Яков, прочее, излезе от Вирсавее и отиде към Харан.
Therfor Jacob yede out of Bersabee, and yede to Aran.
11 като стигна на едно място, пренощува там, защото слънцето беше залязло; и взе от мястото един камък, та го тури за възглавница, и легна да спи на това място.
And whanne he hadde come to sum place, and wolde reste ther inne aftir the goynge doun of the sunne, he took of the stoonus that laien ther, and he puttide vndur his heed, and slepte in the same place.
12 И сънува, и ето стълба изправена на земята, чийто връх стигаше до небето; и Божиите ангели се качваха и слизаха по нея.
And he seiye in sleep a laddir stondynge on the erthe, and the cop ther of touchinge heuene; and he seiy Goddis aungels stiynge vp and goynge doun ther bi,
13 И Господ стоеше над нея, и каза: Аз съм Господ Бог на баща ти Авраама и Бог на Исаака; земята, на която лежиш, ще дам на тебе и на потомството ти.
and the Lord fastned to the laddir, seiynge to hym, Y am the Lord God of Abraham, thi fadir, and God of Isaac; Y schal yyue to thee and to thi seed the lond in which thou slepist.
14 Твоето потомство ще бъде многочислено, като земния пясък; ти ще се разшириш към запад и към изток, към север и към юг; и чрез тебе и чрез твоето потомство ще се благословят всички племена на земята.
And thi seed schal be as the dust of erthe, thou schalt be alargid to the eest, and west, and north, and south; and alle lynagis of erthe schulen be blessid in thee and in thi seed.
15 Ето, Аз съм с тебе и ще те пазя, където и да идеш, и ще те върна пак в тая земя; защото няма да те оставя, докле не извърша това, за което ти говорих.
And Y schal be thi kepere, whidur euer thou schalt go; and Y schal lede thee ayen in to this lond, and Y schal not leeue no but Y schal fil alle thingis whiche Y seide.
16 А като се събуди Яков от съня си, рече: Наистина Господ е на това място, а аз не съм знаел.
And whanne Jacob hadde wakyd of sleep, he seide, Verili the Lord is in this place, and Y wiste not.
17 И убоя се и рече: Колко е страшно това място! Това не е друго, освен Божий дом, това е врата небесна.
And he seide dredynge, Hou worschipful is this place! Here is noon other thing no but the hows of God, and the yate of heuene.
18 На сутринта, като стана Яков рано, взе камъка, който си беше турил за възглавница, изправи го за стълб и изля масло на върха му.
Therfor Jacob roos eerli, and took the stoon which he hadde put vndur his heed, and reiside in to a title, and helde oile aboue.
19 И наименува онова място Ветил; а преди името на града беше Луз.
And he clepide the name of that citee Bethel, which was clepid Lusa bifore.
20 Тогава Яков се обрече и каза: Ако бъде Бог с мене и ме опази в това пътуване, по което отивам, и ми даде хляб да ям и дрехи да се облека,
Also he auowide a vow, and seide, If God is with me, and kepith me in the weie in which Y go, and yyueth to me looues to ete, and clothis to be clothid,
21 така щото да се завърна с мир в бащиния си дом, тогава Господ ще бъде мой Бог,
and Y turne ayen in prosperite to the hows of my fadir, the Lord schal be in to God to me.
22 и тоя камък, който изправих за стълб, ще бъде Божий дом; и от всичко, що ми дадеш, ще дам десетък на Тебе.
And this stoon, which Y reiside in to a title, schal be clepid the hows of God, and Y schal offre tithis to thee of alle thingis whiche thou schalt yyue to me.
