Битие 17
1 Когато Аврам беше на деветдесет и девет години, Господ се яви на Аврама и му рече: Аз съм Всемогъщият; ходи пред Мене и бъди непорочен.
And it came to pass that, when Abram was ninety and nine years old, Yahweh appeared unto Abram, and said unto him, I, am GOD Almighty, —Walk, thou before me and become thou blameless:
2 И ще направя завета си между Мене и тебе и ще те умножа твърде много.
That I may set my covenant betwixt me and thee, And may multiply thee, exceedingly.
3 Тогава Аврам падна на лицето си; и Бог му говореше, казвайки:
And Abram fell on his face, —and God spake with him, saying:
4 Ето, Моят завет е с тебе; и ти ще станеш отец на множество народи.
As for me, lo! my covenant is with thee, —So shalt thou become—father of a multitude of nations;
5 Не ще се именуваш вече Аврам, но името ти ще бъде Авраам; защото те направих отец на множество народи.
And thy name shall no more be called Abram, —but thy name shall become Abraham, for father of a multitude of nations, have I appointed thee;
6 Ще те наплодя твърде много и ще произведа народи от тебе; и царе ще произлязат от тебе.
And I will make thee fruitful, exceedingly, and grant thee to be nations, —Yea kings, out of thee, shall come forth;
7 И ще утвърдя завета Си между Мене и тебе и потомците ти след тебе през всичките им поколения за вечен завет, че ще бъда Бог на тебе и на потомството след тебе.
And I will confirm my covenant betwixt me and thee and thy seed after thee to their generations for an age-abiding covenant, —to become to thee a God, and to thy seed after thee;
8 На тебе и на потомството ти след тебе ще дам за вечно притежание земята, в която си пришелец, цялата Ханаанска земя; и ще им бъда Бог.
And I will give to thee and to thy seed after thee the land of thy sojournings—all the land of Canaan, for an age-abiding possession—And I will be to them a God.
9 Бог още каза на Авраама: Пази ти завета Ми, ти и потомците ти след тебе, през всичките си поколения.
And God said unto Abraham, But, as for thee, my covenant, must thou keep, thou and thy seed after thee, to their generations: —
10 Ето моят завет, който трябва да пазите между Мене и вас и потомците ти след тебе: всеки между вас от мъжки пол да се обрязва.
This, is my covenant which ye shall keep, betwixt me and you, and thy seed after thee, —To circumcise to you every male:
11 Да обрязвате краекожието на плътта си; и това ще бъде знак на завета между Мене и вас.
So shall ye be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin, —So shall it become a sign of a covenant, betwixt me and you.
12 Всяко мъжко дете между вас във всичките ви поколения, като стане на осем дни трябва да се обрязва, както роденото у дома ти, така и онова, което не е от твоето потомство, купена с пари от някой чужденец.
And he that is eight days old, shall be circumcised to you every male to your generations, —he that is born of the house, and he that is bought with silver of any son of a stranger, who is, not of thy seed,
13 Непременно трябва да се обрязва и роденият у дома ти и купеният с парите ти; и Моят завет в плътта ви, ще бъде вечен завет.
He must surely be circumcised, born of thy house or bought with thy silver, —So shall my covenant be in your flesh for an age-abiding covenant.
14 А необрязаният от мъжки пол, чието краекожие на плътта не е обрязано, тоя човек, да се погуби измежду людете си, защото е нарушил завета Ми.
But, as for the uncircumcised male who shall not be circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, —that person shall be cut off from among his people, —my covenant, hath he made void.
15 После Бог каза на Авраама: Не наричай вече Сарайя жена си Сарайя; но Сара да бъде името й.
And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, —but, Sarah, is her name;
16 Аз ще я благословя, още и син ще ти дам от нея; да! ще я благословя, и тя ще стане майка на народи; царе на племена ще произлязат от нея.
and I will bless her, yea moreover will give—from her—to thee, a son, —And I will bless her, and she shall become nations. Kings of peoples, from her, shall arise.
17 Тогава Авраам падна на лицето си и се засмя, и рече в сърцето си: На стогодишен човек ли ще са роди дете? И Сара, която име деветдесет години, ще роди ли?
And Abraham fell on his face and laughed, —and said in his heart To one a hundred years old, shall a child be born? And shall even Sarah, who is ninety years old, give birth?
18 И рече Авраам на Бога; Исмаил да е жив пред Тебе.
And Abraham said unto God, —Oh that, Ishmael, might live before thee!
19 Но Бог каза: Не, а жена ти Сара ще ти роди син, и ще го наречеш Исаак; и с него ще утвърдя завета Си за вечен завет, който ще бъде и за потомството му след него.
And God said—Truly, Sarah thy wife, is about to bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name, Isaac, —and I will establish my covenant with him as an age-abiding covenant, to his seed after him.
20 И за Исмаила те послушах. Ето, благослових го, и ще го наплодя и преумножа; дванадесет племена ще се родят от него, и ще го направя велик народ.
Yet as for Ishmael, I have heard thee; lo! I have blessed him and will make him fruitful, and multiply him, exceedingly, —twelve princes, shall he beget, and I will grant him to be a great nation;
21 Но завета Си ще утвърдя с Исаака, когото Сара ще ти роди до година по това време.
But my covenant, will I establish with Isaac, —whom Sarah shall bear, to thee, by this set time, in the next year.
22 А като прекрати думата Си с Авраама, Бог се възлезе от него.
And he left off speaking with him, —and God went up from Abraham.
23 В тоя същия ден Авраам взе сина си Исмаила, всичките родени у дома му и всичките купени с парите му, всеки от мъжки пол между човеците на Авраамовия дом и обряза краекожието на плътта им, според както Бог му каза.
So Abraham took Ishmael his son and all born of his house and all bought with his silver—every male among the men of the house of Abraham, —and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin on this selfsame day, according to that which God had spoken with him.
24 Авраам беше на деветдесет и девет години когато се обряза краекожието на плътта му;
Now Abraham, was ninety-nine years old, —when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
25 а син му Исмаил беше на тринадесет години, когато се обряза краекожието на плътта му.
And Ishmael, his son, was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
26 В един и същи ден се обрязаха Авраам и син му Исмаил.
On this selfsame day, was Abraham circumcised, —and Ishmael his son;
27 И всичките мъже от дома му както родените у дома, така и купените от чужденци с пари, се обрязаха заедно с него.
and, all the men of his house, born of his house, and bought with silver from the son of a stranger, were circumcised with him.
