1 Петър, апостол Исус Христов, до избраните пришелци, пръснати по Понт, Галатия, Кападокия, Азия, Витиния,
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the elect who are sojourners of the dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Roman Asia, and Bithynia,
2 избрани по предузнанието на Бога Отца, чрез освещението на Духа, за да сте послушни и да бъдете поръсени с кръвта на Исус Христова; благодат и мир да ви се умножи.
according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ; Grace and peace be multiplied to you.
3 Благословен да бъде Бог и Отец на нашия Господ Исус Христос, Който според голямата Си милост ни възроди за жива надежда чрез въскресението на Исуса Христа от мъртвите.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whose great mercy we have been born anew into a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead;
4 за наследство нетленно, неоскверняемо, и което не повяхва, запазено на небесата за вас,
and into an inheritance imperishable and undefiled and fadeless, which has been kept in heaven for you
5 които с божията сила сте вардени чрез вяра за спасение, готово да се открие в последно време.
who, through faith, are continuously guarded by the power of God for a salvation, ready to be revealed in the last days.
6 В което блаженство се радвате, ако и за малко време да скърбите сега, (ако е потребно), в разни изпитни,
Exult in this, though now for a brief moment, if need be, you have suffered many hardships.
7 С цел: изпитването на вашата вяра, като е по-скъпоценно от златото, което гине, но пак се изпитва чрез огън, да излезе за хвала и слава и почест, когато се яви Исус Христос;
These are in order that the test of your faith, more precious than gold that is perishable and yet is tested by fire, may redound to praise and glory and honor, at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
8 Когото любите без да сте Го видели, в Когото вярвате, без сега да го виждате, радвате се с неизказана и преславна радост,
Him you love, though you have never seen him; in him you ever believe, though even now you see him not, and you are rejoicing with joy unspeakable and full of glory,
9 като получавате следствието на вярата си, спасението душите си.
as you continually receive the reward of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
10 За това спасение претърсваха и изследваха пророците, които пророкуваха за благодатта, която бе назначена за вас;
Concerning this salvation the Prophets who prophesied regarding the grace intended for you, diligently sought and searched.
11 като издирваха, кое или какво време посочваше Христовият Дух, който беше в тях, когато предизвестяваше Христовите страдания, и след тях славите.
They were searching to know to what time, or to what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them kept pointing, when he ever testified beforehand concerning the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.
12 И откри им се, че не за себе си, а за вас, служеха те в това, което сега ви извести чрез ония, които ви проповядваха благовестието чрез Светия Дух изпратен от небесата, в което и самите ангели желаят да надникнат.
It was revealed to them that it was not for themselves, but for you, that they were ministering the truths which have now been announced to you, by those who preached the gospel to you, through the help of the Holy Spirit sent forth from heaven - truths into which angels long to look.
13 Затова препашете се през чреслата на вашите помисли, бъдете въздържани и имайте пълна надежда за благодатта, която ще ви се даде, когато се яви Исус Христос.
So then brace up your minds, be steady in spirit, and fix your hope firmly in the grace that is coming to you, at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
14 Като послушни чада, не се съобразявайте с първите страсти, които имахте по време на незнанието си;
Like obedient children, do not fashion yourselves according to the former passions of your days of ignorance,
15 но, както е свят Тоя, Който ви е призовал, така бивайте свети и вие с цялото си държание;
but become yourselves holy in your whole manner of living, as He who has called you is holy,
16 защото е писано: Бъдете свети, понеже Аз съм свят.
as the Scripture says, You shall be holy, because I am holy.
17 И ако призовавате като Отец Този, Който без лицеприятие съди, според делото на всекиго, то прекарайте със страх времето на вашето престояване,
And since you call upon him as Father, who impartially judges each one according to his deeds, pass the time of your sojourning here in reverence.
18 като знаете, че не са тленни къща - сребро или злато - сте изкупени от суетния живот, предаден вам от бащите ви,
For you well know that not with perishable things, with silver or gold, were you redeemed from the emptiness of your manner of life, received by tradition from your ancestors;
19 но със скъпоценната кръв на Христа, като агнец без недостатък и пречист,
but with precious blood, like that of a lamb without spot or blemish, even the blood of Christ.
20 Който наистина беше предопределен преди създанието на света, но се яви в окончанието на времената за вас,
He was indeed foreknown before the foundation of the world, but was manifested at the end of the times for your sake.
21 които чрез Него повярвахте в Бога, Който го възкреси от мъртвите и Му е дал слава, така щото вярата и надеждата ви да бъдат в Бога.
Through him you believe in God who raised him from the dead and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope are now in God.
22 Понеже сте очистили душите си, като сте се покорили на истината, която докарва до нелицемерно братолюбие, обичайте се един друг горещо, от сърце,
Now that by obedience to the truth you have purified your lives for a brotherly love without hypocrisy, you must love one another from your hearts, fervently.
23 тъй като се възродихте, не от тленно семе, а от не тленно чрез Божието слово, което живее и трае [до века]. (aiōn g165)
For you have been born anew, not of perishable, but of imperishable seed, by the living, lasting word of God. (aiōn g165)
24 Защото "Всяка твар е като трева, и всичката - слава като цвят от трева; Тревата изсъхва, и цветът - окапва,
For, All flesh is grass And all its glory like the flower of the grass. The grass fades, The flower falls,
