< Titus 1 >

1 Bulus Ivre koh Irji u toh du Yesu Almasihu ni chuidi bi Irji ni toh njanjaji.
Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is according to godliness;
2 Biyi ni ye suron ni drie u kakle wa ice na hei ni mi Irjina wa a hlah ni sen. (aiōnios g166)
In hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the world began; (aiōnios g166)
3 Ni ton kima a tsoro itere ma ni to du ma wa mba ne dume dub mi ti wayi ni tre Irji u kpata chuwo.
But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed to me according to the commandment of God our Savior;
4 Hi ni Titus Ivren u njanji ni mi kpayemebu isi suron u ndedema u Irji iti Buachi bu Yesu.
To Titus, [my] own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, [and] peace, from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.
5 Ni tu kima me kawu do ni karita na kima u ka mla kpie ba ti ni ba wa bana Shuna chu be nikon ni gbu'a wawu'u na de me hla'u'a
For this cause I left thee in Crete, that thou shouldst set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
6 Na ki du nikon du na he idi u memeti na. Lilo du he ni iwa riri da he ni imri be wo tre.
If any is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children, not accused of riot, or disorderly.
7 A naki nikon u tra Irji du hi u ya tra ni ko ito rime du na ti kpi meme na du na he idi u sohda hwa na, u kpa bubu timeme da soh tuma.
For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
8 Na kima ka he idi u kpa be tsiri ni wo ha. ikpan ikpi dedema naki du he idi. dedema. u mla kpi ti ni klu sisiri Irji ni sonroma da he u vutuma.
But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
9 Du he u hla tre wa ba towu do'a da na hla ice ni mina. Nakima a ni ya gron bari da tsro ba dedeme u mla ti.
Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
10 Naki idi be sehtu ba hay gbugbu be wa ba tre kukklu da ni guru idi ni ce tutu be wa ba tre ade ba ye jia.
For there are many disorderly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
11 Abi du ba zuba mba bah itere Irji kwansra da ni tsoro mba ikpi u shan wa a na bi du ba tsoro ba na.
Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of sordid gain.
12 Iri ni mi ba a hi u toh gyegyere a “tere “keme ni glu ingle bi cei, be memeti.
One of themselves, [even] a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians [are] always liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
13 Itere a njanji mlati ni bawu ni gbegble wa ba gburu ni mi njaji.
This testimony is true: wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
14 Na ka sroun me wo holocholo u Yahudawa ni ibe mba wa mba kwab njaaji Sarah.
Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men that turn from the truth.
15 Ye ni bi wa ba he tsratsra ko nge ni mba a hi tsratsra. i be wa bana he tsratsra na mba na he tsratsra na da he ni njaji na.
To the pure all things [are] pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving [is] nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
16 Koge na he tsratsra na ni tu isroun mba ni i meren mba a hi hlotsu megi.
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny [him], being abominable, and disobedient, and to every good work reprobate.
