John started baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.
5 Wawu u indi bi gbu Judea mba urishilima ba luni ka kpa sukpa wu ma da ni nhran latre mba do Irji wru ba hle.
Well, the whole Judean countryside and the Jerusalemites started going out to him, and were all being baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.
6 Yohana a ta sur nklon nta rakumi de to lo rjirji ni tri wu nta da ta rli langblan ba iton.
Now John was clothed with camel's hair and with a leather belt around his waist; and he was eating locusts and wild honey.

And he was proclaiming: “After me my Superior is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.
8 Mi sukpa yiwu Nima ana wawu ni sukpa yiwu ni rubu Mai Tsraki.
I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with Holy Spirit.”
9 Avi baki, yes a ye rji ni Nazareth wu Galilee e Yohana a sukpa ni wu ni nei Jordan.
Well it happened in those days that Jesus came from Natsareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
10 Da Yesu a nzutu ni ma wu ne wandi ba sukpa niwu, ato shulu a bwu u wa atoh Ruhu Irji a girji kuson ni u ni tu. “Irji ni shulu a trendi.
And immediately upon coming up from the water He saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit, like a dove, descending upon Him.
11 “Wayi wu vren wu surom mu, wandi a ni du surom mu see.
And a Voice came from the heavens: “You are my Son, the beloved, in whom I am well pleased!”
12 Ruhu Irji a Chon hi ni tsutsu miji. Wu vi arbai,
Immediately the Spirit impelled Him into the wilderness.
13 ba ba nma miji mba birji (Satan) wandi a ka tsra. Irji a du maleka ma do ba tindu (hidima) niwu.
And He was there in the wilderness forty days being tested by Satan, and was with the wild animals; and the angels were ministering to Him.

Now after John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom of God,
15 ica me me drive chuwo da kpa wu wu.
and saying: “The time has been fulfilled and the Kingdom of God has approached. Repent and believe in the Gospel.”
16 A si izren ni kpa kikle nei Galilee da to Siman ba Andru, mri vayi Simon, basi yo ngrow nima bana bi Vu lambe.
Then, as He was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother, of Simon, casting a circular net onto the water, for they were fishermen.
17 Yesu yo ba du ba hu a ni tsron.
So Jesus said to them: “Come, follow me and I will turn you into fishers of men.”
18 ba vu idi to ba lambe lude hu gbagbla.
At once they left their nets and followed Him.
19 A la fon zre da to James (Yakubu), ba siya inla rjirji wu vu lambe ba ti
And going on from there a little ways He saw James, son of Zebedee, and his brother John; they were in their boat mending their nets.

Right away He called them, and leaving their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men they followed Him.
21 Ba ye ni Capernaum chachu sati, u yes hi ni tra irji ba (synagogue).
Then they went into Capernaum. The very next Sabbath He entered the synagogue and began to teach.
22 Da ka tsro ba itre irji zan khikle bi nha mba
And they kept on being amazed at His teaching, because He was teaching them as one having authority, and not like the scribes.
23 Ni nto kima, i gu ri wandi a he ni meme ibrji a lu yrayi ni Yesu da mye,
Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
24 wu ye tingye ni ta, Yesu ba Nazareth? Wu ye wuta mu? Mi to ko wu nha, wu tsatsra wu irji.
saying: “Hey, what do you want with us, Jesus Natsarene?! Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!”
25 Yesu yra to ni wu da hla ni ibrji wandi a siya tree ni mi songbagbi.
So Jesus rebuked him saying: “Shut up and get out of him!”
26 Ibriji rhju ni gbengle da ni kpagro.
The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.
27 Indi ba wandi ba hei ni kea ba bwu nyu yo ni wuo da miye kpamba, I wayi nghe, itsro sad gbengle ani you doka ni bring meme u ba wou.
And all were astounded, so that they questioned among themselves, saying: “What is this? What can this new doctrine be? Because with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!”
28 Injo nitu ma a zre yi ni clan Galilee.
So His fame spread directly into the whole surrounding area of Galilee.
29 A rju ni tra irji da tsi you ni ko ba Siman ba Andrew, ba ba Yakubu mba Yohanna.
Immediately upon exiting the synagogue they went into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30 Ni ri nikoa, a to yi wa Siman si lo kpa.
Simon's mother-in-law was lying down with a fever, so without delay they told Him about her.
31 Da ba hla niwu, a hi da ka thi wo nzu. Lol kpa a kri bre wu, wa kri lunde da nuba rhi.
So He went and grasping her hand lifted her up; immediately the fever left her and she began to serve them.
32 Ni yalu, be gbu wawu ba shubi ni nkotra.
That evening, when the sun had set, they started bringing to Him all who were sick and the demonized.
33 Ba nji bi lilo kpa ye ni wu,
So much so that the whole town was gathered at the door,
34 wa ka nuba si kpa da zu meme brji rju ni kpa wandi a hei ba wu ni kpa. A na nu ibrji ba nyu wu tre na - ni tu ba to. Ko wawu hi nha.
and He healed many who were sick with various diseases and cast out many demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew He was Messiah.
35 Ni bwu mble a lunde da hi ni wutrji wandi ndi bana hei na daka bre irji.
Now very early, still night, He got up, slipped out, and went off to a solitary place, where He was praying.
Simon and those with him hunted for Him,
37 ba bru mba ba wawu ka to da lila wu di indi basi waawu.
and upon finding Him they said to Him, “Everyone is looking for you.”
38 A sa ba wu, khi hi ni wudji rhi, ni gbu ri kan. Nitu hla tre irji ni bawu shi need me ye.
But He said to them: “Let us go to the neighboring towns, so I can preach there also; that is why I have come.”
39 A zren kaāgo inkla gbu Galilee, ni tra irji mba (synagogue) da tsro ba jiji tre irji da zu meme ibrji rltju ni bi wandi ibrji lo ba nju da kpabachuwo.
He was constantly preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and also casting out demons.
40 Ndi ri wandi a hei ni lilo eshi a ye da kugu gbarhu ma da bre u andi.
A leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling before Him and saying to Him, “If you want to, you are able to cleanse me.”
41 Wuta kpa nyme wu ka chu lilo yo wrjhu ni mu. A ló suron ni wu da ka wo ni wu da tre di, “mi kpa nyme lilo ka wu chuwo!
So being moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him: “I want to; be cleansed!”
42 Lilo ezhie a rhu hari kpama a kma ti sa.
And when He said this, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
43 Yesu a mmba, u a du na hla ni tro na.
And He sent him away at once, sternly warning him,
44 Du gri kpa ma hi stro priest ya da a samu si see kpa ma du hei na wa Musa a ti gbuchu ni tu man.
by saying: “See that you say nothing to anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing the things that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
45 Da gua rhu ni Yesu a tsi ka dubu kpe wa Yesu ti ni wu'a. Ni tu kima Yesu ana iya are ni mi gbu du ba to na. A nap zi are zu ni kosan gbu. Duk na ki ndi ba ba zi hu ko ni tse Wanda a hi.
However he went out and began to proclaim it freely, spreading the news, so that He was no longer able to enter a town openly, but remained outside in deserted places; yet they kept coming to Him from all over.
