< James 5 >

1 ye ziza be yi bi wo bi ka ta yi ni sa wonyu niyu ine shiji wa ani ye ni u gbugbuu
Come, now, you rich men, weep and lament for your miseries that are coming upon you.
2 iwo bi a gla ikulon bi immaran ni lri ba
Your wealth is corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten:
3 zinariya ba azurfar bi ba kuklu kuklu a ani no shaida ni tu bi ani gon nmama kpabi na illu be vu ikpi u son bi kari nde ni gbe i vi u kaikle
your gold and your silver are covered with rust; and their rust will be a testimony against you, and will eat your flesh as fire. You have heaped up treasures in the last days.
4 yga ie bi ti ndu aniyi ide wa be kayu be wa ba ka chah ikpi ni irju ni yiwu u yi be chah ikpi a hi ito u irji ruduna
Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped your fields, which has been unjustly withheld by you, cries out: and the cries of those who have reaped, have entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts.
5 bi son ni mi son ikpi u gbuuglu de yo tubi ni mi be yo isonron bi du wuloga ni gbi ivi u hha
You have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; you have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
6 bi hukunta de wo idid dede u ana san nyu ni yi na
You have condemned and killed the Just One: and he does not set himself against you.
7 ni tu naki be ka vu sonran mrivayi khi gbie ye yesu na wa be ron ba gbie iga da cha ikpi mba ye niko ni vu sonron nda kpailu u mumla ni ilu u kaikle
Be patient, therefore, brethren, till the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer looks for the precious fruit of the earth, and waits patiently for it, till he receives the early and the latter rain.
8 beyi me bi ka vu sonro be ka no gbegbele isonro bi i ye irji a ti hwiehwire
Be you also patient, establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws near.
9 na chaba gbugburu na mrivayimu ni kpa bu nde ndu mba na la yina ya ba u turon a khiri kutara.
Indulge not in complaints against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned: behold, the judge stands before the door.
10 ban na ki mrivayi ni sha ya ni vu sonron annabawa be wa mba tre mba ni mi ide irji
Take, my brethren, the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering evil, and of patience.
11 ya khi yo be wa mba vu sonrona ba be ti lulu be wo be be vu sonron wa Ayuba a tia be ka toh nde a hi idu irji na wa a he ni lo sonro ni jikai
Behold, we count those happy who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the final dealing of the Lord, that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
12 nituwawu mrivayimu na shidi ni me me mba ni shu ko ni meme ko ni ikpiri u shidi nitu naki e a hi e u be ta tre nde a du hi a a du yi na joku ni mi hukunci na?
But above all things, my brethren, swear not, either by heaven, or by the earth, or with any other oath: but let your yes, be yes, and your no, be no, lest you fall into condemnation.
13 u irbi a si shaya kpukpome? du herai irji u idri a ni giri? wa ka yosai u gberesa
Is any one among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any one cheerful? let him sing praise.
14 iri ni lo ni mi bi? wa a ka yo be nikon u tra irji du mba bere irji ni a u da gbah iyee ni wu ni mi nde irji
Is any one among you sick? let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil, in the name of the Lord.
15 ibere u kponji ani den idi u liloirji ni zu lude wa ani ta latre irji a ni wuru kalle wu
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick; and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 ni tu naki be kahla latre bi ni kpabi nde ta bere irji du no yi gbegble wawa bi ibere idi u dede a he ni gbegbele du u njaaji
Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that you may be restored to health: the fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
17 iliya a hi idime na khi ta a bere ni kpohji an de illu na juna i illuwa na ku ni gbula na ti isai tra ni hwatahne
Elijah was a man with passions like our own; and he earnestly prayed that it might not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.
18 u illiya ka labere irji na ki u shulu ka du illu ku u meme ka no ikolo kugrua
And he prayed again; and the heavens gave rain, and the earth brought forth its fruit.
19 mrivayimu u iribi ni ta baude ni mi njaaji u idior ji u kwmaye
Brethren, if any among you should err from the truth, and one should turn him back,
20 indi ki ka toh ande idi wa a kwhandi sanra ni latre ma ani kpa a chuwo ni ohu nda ka gbu gbu latre ma
let him know that he who turns back a sinner from the error of his way, will save a soul from death, and cover a multitude of sins.
