< James 3 >
1 ana ndi gbugbulu ba kamti tsro na mrivayimu ki toh di kpa hukunci wa a zan tsanan
My brethren, be not many teachers, knowing that we who are such shall pass a stricter trial than others: for in many things we all offend;
2 nakima ki ka kub zah nijon gbugbuu du ndi wa ana kub zah ni tu tre na ahi ndi wa ba mla u be ndu wa ani vu tu ni kpama wawuu
and if any offend not in word, he is a compleat man, able to manage also the whole body.
Behold we put bridles into the mouths of horses, that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body as we please.
4 bitoh igwu u dran ma naki ba bra kpukpuri naki gwugwu u gbegbenien mami zuba nikukre job fidima ndi u tru gwua ani kam hi ni bubu wa ani so
Behold also the ships which are of so great bulk, and even when they are driven by hard winds, yet are turned about by a very small helm which way soever the pilot pleaseth.
5 nakima ileme ahi vinghma kpa fi mei ani gbre san nikpie bi rigrama bika toh di vi ilu fi m i ani ri kile minji
So the tongue is a small part of the body, yet boasteth great things. Behold how much fuel a little fire kindleth!
6 ileme me ahi ilu ni mi nghma kpa bu wawuu gbugbulu u lalitre wa ba ban you ni mi nghama ikpabu ani kpa kpa bu tieme ani du alamura rayuwa ba vulu wawu ahi ko lu wa ani shuti (Geenna )
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our several parts, defiling the whole body, inflaming the course of nature, and is set on fire by hell. (Geenna )
7 nakia inanma rhjhu ba wawuu chicen nibi han ni ne ru kpie bi mi kikle nne ndi hei gbengbenlen ni yu ba
For every kind of wild beasts, and birds, and reptiles, and fishes, is tamed and hath been tamed by mankind:
8 nitu leme nimi yan Adam ba wa ani ya vu ahi ihrji wa ana si na a gbugbulu u wu ndi
but the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
With it we bless God even the Father; and with it we curse men, who are made after the likeness of God:
10 ni mi nyu kima lulu ni lah ni rhu mrivayi ikpie bi yi bika na ti na.
out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. These things, my brethren, ought not so to be.
11 i mah u roma ba uri ma bana iya rjhu ni bubu ri na
Does a fountain from the same opening send forth sweet water and bitter?
12 ba iya? mriyah kukron baure ana iya ti zaitu na ko ani ya? ko naki irjhu inabi anti yi baure? nakima imah u ri ana ya no imah u roma na.
Can a fig-tree, my brethren, produce olives, or a vine figs? so can no fountain produce salt water and sweet.
13 ahi nghan hei ni hikima ni toh rii mi bi? du ndi kima tsro didi uvri ni ndu ma u hikima
Is there any wise and understanding man among you? let him shew his works by a good conversation in the meekness of wisdom:
14 aman inde bi hei ni matsanci ihwu ni meme gbrashisi ni mi suron bi bika na wur wi ni san ni ice na ni njaji
but if ye have bitter envy and strife in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth;
this is not the wisdom, that cometh down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and diabolical:
16 naki duk bubu wa ihwu ni gbranshishihei niki wa nyun nihei ni kowane iri meme kpie
for where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
But the wisdom that is from above first is pure, then peaceable, mild, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
18 naki mri didi wa ba shu ni mi son si ni mi bi wa ba shu tu ba bi
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for those that promote peace.
