1 Zizan, niwa ba zren zu ni igbu bi Amphipolis mba Apoloniya, ba ye ri ni kikle gbu Tesalonika, bubu wa synagogue wu Yahudawa a he.
and passed by Amphipolis and Apolonia, cities, and came to Thessalonika, where was a synagogue of the Jihudoyee.
2 Bulus, toh wa a ta tia, hi ni ba, nda ban vi Sati tra si vu mla ya ni mi nha tre BAchi niba.
AND Paulos entered, as his custom was, with them, and three shabaths spoke to them from the scriptures,
3 A sia bwu tre Bachi nda ni mla bla ndi a tsra kri ni du Kristi du ti ya nda la lu rhini kwu. A hla ndi “Yesu yi, wa mi d'bu bla ni yiwu a wawuyi hi Kristi.”
expounding, and showing, That Meshiha was to suffer and to rise from the house of the dead, and he is Jeshu the Meshiha whom I preach to you.
4 Yahudawa bari ba kpanyme nda zontu ni Bulus mba Sila, baba gbugbu ndji bi Greek wa ba kri gbangban ni hu, mba imba bi ninkon, wa bana fii me ngame na.
And men of them believed and adhered to Paulos and Shilo, and many of the Javnoyee who feared Aloha, and distinguished women not a few.
5 I Yahudawa wa bana kpanyime na, nitu ba shu ni ngu, ba vu ndji bari bi meme dri rji ni bubu-leni-kpi wu gbu'a, nda kplu kpaandji ye zontu nda chon gbu'a duba yra gro ni nfu. Ba ri ni nfu kima ni ko Jason, ndi ba wa vu Bulus mba Sila nu ndji ba.
And the Jihudoyee envied, and joined to them evil men from the public place of the city, and made a great multitude, and conturbed the city. And they came and stood at the house of Jason, and demanded that they should bring them out from thence and deliver them to the multitude.
6 Niwa bana to bana, ba gbi Jason baba mri vayi bari ye ni bi ninkon u gbu'a nda ni yii, “Ndji biyi wa ba k'ma gbungblu wawu sran hon grji ba ye ni wayi ngame.
And when they could not find them there, they drew Jason and the brethren who were there, and brought them to the chiefs of the city, crying, These are they who have troubled the whole land; and behold again have they come here;
7 Ndji biyi wa Jason a kpa ba; a; zren mba ni hu nkon nkan ni gbren tre wa Siza a yo'a, ba bla ndi niko chu ri nkan he wa ba yondi Yesu.
and their receiver is this Jason; and all these against the commands of Cesar are risen, in saying that there is another king, Jeshu.
8 Ba kpa suron kpaa ndji ba baba bi ninkon gbu'a ti meme ni kpi biyi wa ba wo'a.
And the chiefs of the city and all the people were troubled when they heard these things;
9 Hu gon wa ba chu Jason baba mbru mba ru ni wo bi lo ba, ba chuba chuwo duba hi.
and they took pledges from Jason and also from the brethren, and then dismissed them.
10 Ni chu kima, mri vayi ba ba tru Bulus mba Sila hi ni Beriya. Niwa ba ri niki, ba ri hi ni mi sinagog wu Yahudawa ba.
But the brethren immediately in that night dismissed Paulos and Shilo unto Beroa the city; and when they were come thither they entered into the synagogue of the Jihudoyee:
11 Zizan ndji biyi bana he nitu mla to zan bi wa ba he ni Tasalonika, ba kpa lan tre'a ni sron ndindi, nda bwu lan nha chachu nda shle si ya nitu duba to ka kpi ba ba tokii.
for more noble were those Jihudoyee who were there than those Jihudoyee who were in Thessalonika; and they heard from them the word daily with joy, while they decided from the scriptures whether these things were so.
12 Nitu kima, gbugbu mba ba kpanyime, hu ni mba Greek bari wa ba yaba ni nfutu, baba gbugbu lilon bari.
And many of them believed, and so also of the Javnoyee, men many, and distinguished women.
13 Niwa Yahudawa bi Tasalonika ba wo ndi Bulus a sia d'bu ni bla lan tre Irji ni Bariya, ba hi niki nda ka chon kpaa ndji ba hwu dri.
And when those Jihudoyee who were of Thessalonika knew that the word of Aloha was preached by Paulos in Beroa the city, they came there also, and ceased not to move and trouble the people.
14 Mle, mri vayi ba ba tru Bulus du hi hu nkon wu tu kpaa ma, i Sila mba Timoti ba ki niki.
And the brethren dismissed Paulos that he should go down by sea; and Shilo and Timotheos remained in that city.
15 Biwa ba sia tsro Bulus nkon a ba njiwu aren gbron ka tsra ni kikle gbu wu Athens. Niwa ba don Bulus niki, ba kpa tre nitu kpe wuti rji niwu hi ni ba Sila mba Timoti, ndi duba sima ye niwu.
AND they who accompanied Paulos came unto Athinos the city; and when they departed from the midst of it they took from him an epistle to Shilo and Timotheos, that they should speedily come to him.
16 Zizan wa Bulus a sia gben ye mba ni Athens, langbiri sron ma a si chon niwa a to gunki ba shu ni kikle gbu'a.
But he, Paulos, while he waited in Athinos, was embittered in his spirit, (for he) saw how the whole city was filled with idols.
17 Niki a si bla ndani k'ma sran ya chachu ni mi sinagog baba Yahudawa baba bari wa babi hu nkon Irji, mba nimi bubu wu leni kpi baba biwa ba heni ki.
And he spake in the synagogue with the Jihudoyee, and with those who worshipped Aloha, and in the public place with those who met there daily;
18 Niki ngame bari bi to rhimren gban, wa babi Epikurean mba Stoic, ba zontu wu sen nyu niwu. Bari ba tre ndi, “A ngye wa ndi wu gbla nyu treyi si son hla?” Bari ba tre “A rju ndji biwa ba yo ndi du ba ye hu mri Irji wa bana to tumana,” nitu a sia dbu bla tre ndindi nitu Yesu mba ta sh'me ni kwu ma.
and the philosophers also who were of the doctrine of Epikuros, and others who were called Estoiku, disputed with him. And some of them said, What willeth this accumulator of words? And others said, He preaches foreign gods; because Jeshu and his resurrection he preached unto them.
19 Ba ban Bulus hi ni Areopagus, nda ni bla ndi, “Wu la mla bla nitu tsro isa yi wa wu sia bla?”
And they took him and brought him to the house of judgment which is called Arios-pagos, saying to him, Can we know what this new doctrine is which thou art preaching?
20 Nitu wu nji kpi wa kina to tuma na ye ni ton mbu. Nikima, kisonb mla to tumba.”
for thou sowest foreign words in our hearing, and we desire to know what these things are.
21 (Zizan bi Athens ba wawumba baba bi tsri wa ba kru nha niba'a, ba sia wu nton mba ni kpe na, hama ni ndu bla mba srenton nitu ikpi isa wa ba rini gbu).
But all the Athinoyee, and those foreigners who are there, of no other thing are careful, but to say and to hear something new.
22 Niki Bulus a lu kri ni tsutsu Ariopagus nda tre ndi, “Biyi ndji Athens, mi to ndi bi bi hu nkon bre irji ni za nkankan.
AND as Paulos stood on Arios-pagos he said, Men of Athinos, I observe you that in all (things) you exceed in the worship of demons.
23 Niwa mi zren zu si hi, mi mla ya nito kpe wa bi nzu hon ni bre mbi. Mi to iko bre ri wa bi nha “Ni Irji wa bina to na,” Ikpe wa bi nzu hon ni bre nina too na, wawuyi mi bwu bla ni yiwu.
As I walked about and saw the place of your worship, I found a certain altar on which was inscribed, To GOD THE HIDDEN: him then whom while not known you worship, This I declare to you.
24 Irji wa a ti gbungblu wawu mba kpi wa ba he nimi ma, nitu wawuyi hi Bachi wu shulu mba meme, ana son ni ko bre wa ba me ni wo na.
For ALOHA who made the world and all that is in it, and is himself the Lord of heaven and of earth, in temples made with hands resideth not.
25 Ana wo ndji mba ni tindu niwu na, ana ndi ani wa kpe ni wo ndji na, nitu a hi wawu kima mba ni nu ndji vrison sisren mba gbron vri ni kpi wawu.
Neither is he served by the hands of men, nor needeth he any thing, for it is he who giveth to every man life and soul.
26 Rhi ni ndji ri, a ti gbungblu ndi ni duba ki ni tu gbungblu meme, nda tsra nton mba nyu dren bubu ki mba,
And of one blood hath he made the whole world of men to dwell upon the face of all the earth, and he hath distinguished the times by his decree, and set the limits of the dwelling of mankind,
27 nitu duba wa Irji ka ba ma nk'mo nkon hi nda hi to wu. Kima me, ana gbangban ni ko nha mbu na.
that they should seek Aloha and inquire, and from his creatures find himself, because he is not far from every one of us.
28 Ni wawuyi ki son nda zren nda he ni kpa ndi too wa ndi mbi ri wu to tre a hla ndi 'kita ngame ki hpu ma.'
For in him we live, and are moved, and are; as also one of your sages hath said, From him is our descent.
29 Nikima, nituwa ki hpu Irji, kina ba ndi nkon wubi wu irji ana to zinariya ko azurfa ko tita iwa kpiwa mren ndi mba ba la ba rhu na.
Men, therefore, whose descent is from Aloha, should not think that gold or silver or stone sculptured by the art and skill of man is like the Divinity.
30 Nitu ki, Irji wruhle kpi wa kiti ni bwu tu, nda mha yo zi ndi du ndji kagon duba k'ma sron sran.
For the times of error Aloha hath made to pass away; and in this time he commandeth all men, that every man in every place should repent;
31 A he toki nitu a yo vi wa ani gaatre ni gbungblu wawu ni nkon tsatsra zu ni wo ndji wa a chu zi ye. Irji guchi nu kpe wu tsro to nitu ndji yi ni ko nha wa a nzu lu ri ni kwu'a.
because he hath set a day in which he will judge the whole earth in righteousness by that Man whom he hath ordained; and he will convert every man to the faith of him in having raised him from among the dead.
32 Niwa ndji bi Athens ba wo nitu tsame ri ni kwu, bari mba ban za Bulus, e bari ba tre ndi, “Ki la sreton ngari ni wo nitu kpeyi.”
And when they heard of resurrection from among the dead, (some) of them mocked, and (some) of them said, At another time we will hear thee concerning this.
33 Hu gon ki, Bulus rju donba.
And so Paulos went forth from among them.
34 E ndi bari ba hu ka zontu niwu nda kpanyime, nimi mba Dionysius wu Areopagus, wari wa ndema hi Damaris, baba bari wa ba he ni ba.
And certain of them adhered to him and believed: but one of them was Dionosios of the judges of Arios-pagos, and a certain woman whose name was Damaris, and others with them.
